Yeah, Primary fleets or official navies are really the worst. Bossy and lame.

REASONS NOT TO BE IN AN OFFICIAL FACTION/NAVY

- Ship Restrictions, Having to fly X ship for X time.

- Double Sanctions, One From the admin, another from the 11-year-old faction leader.

- bossy leaders who think their king/queen of X faction, Probably going to be either a cop or assistant principal when they gwow up.

REASONS TO BE IN AN OFFICIAL FACTION

-Not many.

Respect is gained by few indies, but its given EVEN LESS by officials. They see that one indy rhienland *cough* battleship over there not shooting at fighters and say "LOLOLOL CAPWHORENUBEBEBEBELOLOL"

As a new player I find that their is only a smearing of respect for others and RP. Before begining play, I read the rules the system laws and anything else. Yet I have seen many just not bothering. I have seen lots of OOC chat, mismatched TAGS and ID's, even no ID'S. Yet I feel the only one who needs respect is yourself.
Make sure that you RP properly, and to Hell with anyone else, at least then you will not lose respect by coming down to their level.
In my opinion if you do not read the rules, or do not obey your own laws, then why bother.
I love this game, but I will not report every infaction that I see, or that is all I would do, just today I was fired upon without warning, no message no RP, by Corsairs in Leeds. However I remained loyal to my own RP, keeping my own self respect.
I like being Pirated, I like trying to get the pricel down, or running or even fighting, it's what the game is about.
Respect Yourself, respect the rules.

Amigo, your win is blinding me.

As for respect, it comes through hard work, work hard and RP well within a faction or as an indie and you will find people recognise your dedication. However if you just make and rep a char and expect established official factions to treat you as an equel/superior, you do not deserve any respect.

CamthemanofFreelancer4Ever, please calm down a little. It would appear - going by the tone of your post - that you have had an unpleasant encounter with a member of an official faction. Have you tried discussing the problem with them? No good at all is going to come of just flaming them.

I agree, consistant RP'ing is required. By doing that you will earn respect. As I said I have done some research, and try to RP well, I am not saying I am perfect, but I wonder why others seem not to even bother to try.

I am not flaming them, I have had experiences in the past with annoying bossy little leaders. Not rhienland though. Dab's statement in the OPG's feedback thread about my Rhienland Battleship shows the thoughts of him and many others like him who see all indy caps as "nubs". Dab said something like "The Rhienland BS only fired upon the fighters when they attacked him, which seemed odd".

Why would it be odd? They are no threat to him anyways, correct? This shows bias.

Incorrect, Official factions are not about having the best ship, it's about the FRIENDS you make.

REASONS NOT TO BE IN AN OFFICIAL FACTION/NAVY

- Ship Restrictions, Having to fly X ship for X time.

Incorrect, this is in place to stop lolwutting Capwhores like yourself from making everyone Q_Q

- Double Sanctions, One From the admin, another from the 11-year-old faction leader.

Incorrect, Official faction leaders don't and won't sanction, if you make a huge mistake like swearing in system, they can and will boot you out. And if you are getting sanctions, you are doing something very wrong.

- bossy leaders who think their king/queen of X faction, Probably going to be either a cop or assistant principal when they gwow up.

Incorrect, Faction leaders have to be responsible, and unbias, unlike yourself, if they aren't the Administration makes sure they aren't

REASONS TO BE IN AN OFFICIAL FACTION

-Not many.

Comradeship, run, roleplay, fairplay, organisation, not being you

Respect is gained by few indies, but its given EVEN LESS by officials. They see that one indy rhienland *cough* battleship over there not shooting at fighters and say "LOLOLOL CAPWHORENUBEBEBEBELOLOL"

I think you have confused Factions with yourself, jackass.

I fixed your post.

Respect, eh? - Marcus Lindberg - 12-27-2009

This reminds me of all the rtarded crap that indie traders and civilians would say to LPI back in the summer, claiming that we couldn't get crap done, that we sucked and were fat and ate donuts all day and thats all we did. We couldn't do much in Libby's now could we?

Kudos to all [LN] out there!

I think a few people here need to learn this "respect". It is a rather rare commodity in these waters.

Do calm down.
