The Rogue Officer - Deneth Aleski - 03-05-2010

Aleski was the last one to leave the table, giving the Goodmen and Rockwell a very slight lead towards the hangar bays. He was somewhat in his own bubble, with one part of him trying to remember the numerous ways through which to enter Sigma-13 and the other, figuring out what kind of business Goodmen would have there in the first place. He was used to his strange nature, this simply added a new angle to his uniqueness.

"So, what if this GMG pilot doesn't have the information we need?" It almost seemed as if he asked the question out of lack of anything better to say. "And what's he like?"

Izzy waited patiently for the three. She had to be patient for most of her life. Waiting longer wouldnt kill her.

In Sigma-13, Ellie and the Alliance Heavy Assault Carrier Orion sat, high above the 'plane'. They talk casually, thier thoughts not on what they were doing yet.

"Colonel Hunter, why do we do this?"

Ellie turned to a young man who was part of the expedition that discovered the Orion and her sister ship.

"Got any better ideas than to leave this sitting God knows where?"
"Good Point."

Ellie sighed as she waited.

"I have no idea what this pilot is like. All I know is he has a bone to pick with Rockwell, so we might have to fight our way either to him or out." Austin shook his head sighing lightly and rounding the corner to the hangar where all of their vessels happened to be waiting.

"Of course if this lad does know where she is, then we're in luck, and then maybe I can turn myself in, and wait whatever they have in store for me. Other then that I guess we'll just have to wait and see eh?"

Stepping from the Door-way Austin slowed himself down to a stop and looked at a vessel that originally wasn't there when he first landed. He shrugged to himself and stopped dead in his tracks, looking around and letting out a sigh.

Sipher gave Goodie a not-so-playful punch on the shoulder as he finished his last sentence. "How many times do I have to tell you, You're NOT turning yourself in."
He chuckled a bit, "You're not so much of a douche as to finally reunite with your long lost love, only to return to be imprisioned or shot. And relax, so far we have no reason to doubt this guy, and I'm sure whatever he has against me will be a piece of cake to deal with."
He smirked, letting some of his excitement show through his expression, "Nonetheless, we always have to be cautious these days don't we... Why'd we Stop?"

Izzy immedietly went to the dockinng hole-thingy (she never leanred what the proper term was) and asked to land.

Someone had entered, and her Spidey-Sense was tingling.

Or it was just intuition.

As her Raven's Talon hovered into the docking thing, she gunned it and flew into the hanger bay where Goodman and his coharts had landed.

Austin noticed a small boy staring at him. He thought nothing of it at first, but something about the boy's eyes held his gaze. He realized that he had stopped moving, and before long it occurred to him that he was unable to pry his eyes from looking into those of the boy. His vision dulled as though he was falling asleep, leaving nothing but those eyes- nothing in him so much as tried to resist.

Darkness. A beast slumbered, and he was walking around it. He did not bother to conceal his presence, he was aware that the beast was there, and yet he acted as though he was not- but as the beast slept, a smaller creature separated itself from the beast and began to claw toward Austin, as though trying to swim through thick oil. The beast batted an eye, and began lazily pawing at the smaller creature. Then, as though crashing through glass, the smaller creature fell toward Austin, awakening the great beast from whence it had come. The small creature appeared to beg and plead, but there was no one to help it- and soon enough, the beast had awoken fully into a mighty dragon, shining throughout the darkness with terrible grace.

There were others, then, who heard it roar- some of them felt very familiar, and some as though family- though their faces were veiled. Behind them stood a flag, perched atop a small hill. It was battered and torn, and hardly stood on its own- and the dragon turned toward it, bashing aside the small creature that had come from it. It drew it's head back and forward again, spreading from its mouth a great cone of flame. The fire reached the flag on the hill and scorched it, though it did not simply melt away.

A great light came from the sky, and a hooded figure descended in front of the men standing with Austin. It bowed, and in return all those gathered placed themselves in front of the oncoming inferno and kept it at bay. The figure then turned to Austin, and in his mind he heard the words:

when the time comes, join us, and embrace destiny

With that, the vision abruptly ended and Austin was in the hangar again. Wiping a small bit of drool from his chin, he looked around for the boy but could not find him.

"Right... that... was weird."

Izzy entered the hanger to find the group stopped.

Something was wrong. Very wrong.

Then she figured it out.

The same feeling had come when they ahd been attacked in Omicron Iota.
The same feeling had come when they had checked out a strange signal in Iota.
The same feeling came from one thing.

Izzy whispered it fearfully as she left the station ahead of Austin and his group.

"Nomads."

Sipher took a few steps forward before noticing Goodie's halt, after which he turned around, his brow raised, and couldn't figure out why he wouldn't answer him.
"Hellooooo? Anyone home?" He spent a good half a minute prying at him and prodding him, before he came too again.
"Jesus Mate... What was that about?" He gave a chuckle, amused that he was actually surprised by this, "I never know what to expect with you, Do I?"

Chapter Two

Freeport One

Austin nodded a bit, "I...I have no idea what that was about. Though...I do want to get to Rheinland space before the next Armed Forces patrol." He trailed off a bit and broke out into a jog towards his fighter, climbing up the bulkheads and into the cockpit.

A few minutes went by and the three fighters left the hangar, meeting out in space, Austin's fighter was obviously in the lead as they headed deep into Rheinland space.

Planet Holstein

Planet Holstein, a fairly cold watery world in the Frankfurt system. Daumann Heavy Construction has been terraforming this icy yet wet world for quite sometime. It was even the home of over sixty million Rheinlanders. Scattered across the planet were large platforms used for housing, spaceports, and terraforming.

The sun was just peeking over the horizon, the water was glimmering. Coming from the darkside of the planet were three vessels. A Raven Talon, a Falcon, and in the middle of them both, a Templar.

Setting calmly in the glow of the morning sun and the calm ocean was a platform, abandoned long ago from Kruger's old attempt at trying to terraform the planet. This platform has been long since forgotten and is even off the current day navigation charts. Perfect for Austin and his small group to set up a base camp to operate into the Sigma's.

Thankfully from the Rheinland Military he was allowed free access in and out of Rheinland space, and was even given a Rheinland Mini-razor. The thought that Major General Rall gave them permission to operate in Rheinland space despite him being a fugitive to Bretonia was quite an amusing thought indeed, included in that thought was a one time offer for them getting anything they needed, though Austin doubted that it's still up for grabs.

The three vessels landed on separate landing platforms on the over all old Kruger terraforming platform, and all three pilots met up near the middle.

"Well boys, this should be our new home for awhile. Bit chilly, though I'm sure we can deal with it. First order of business...figure out how to turn the damn heat on."

The Rogue Officer - Deneth Aleski - 03-09-2010

Planet Holstein, Frankfurt system

Aleski was draped in a feeling of surreality. After he had emigrated from Rheinland, he never thought he'd actually come back, let alone live there for a while. On top of that, he was completely unaware of what his "standing" here was, given his previous actions.

However, much to his relief (and surprise), the Rheinwehr patrols they encountered were completely oblivious to who the Ensign was. Even the ones in New Berlin space, known to capture and detain deserters, no matter how long it has been since they evaded service.

Once landed, the young pilot joined the two others near the center of the platform. Still in his own bubble, Deneth was looking around until Austin mentioned something about heating. This reminded him of the times he had to land on similar platforms after patrols during his RM days.

"If I'm not incorrect, the heating control should be somewhere in the lower levels of the platform... yes, near the center." He pointed towards the central structure.

"Usually, these things use a special kind of solid fuel to generate energy, hence the bright exhaust fumes we'd normally see from those chimneys. There should still be some of it left in the reservoirs."
