Broken Bonds - Sabre120 - 04-10-2010 I'm loving this idea, I always enjoy the idea of little spin offs from the main story, but I do agree with others that Australia should have a different name, I'm lost when it comes to modding, but if theres anything else I can do to help let me know via PM  Broken Bonds - DartStriker - 04-17-2010 Legion Fighter Preview Broken Bonds - DartStriker - 04-18-2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9-8xnr41wI Broken Bonds - Sabre120 - 04-20-2010 Nice, keep up the work! Broken Bonds - Lancelot9 - 05-09-2010 Will be excited to see this! Broken Bonds - sovereign - 05-10-2010 Systems are coming along smoothly, as are infocards. We still need a lot of models, though, currently everything uses vanilla stations and such. Stuff is progressing, though, I think the handful of us are actually moving more quickly than the disco dev team (oddly enough... >.>). But we do need models. Broken Bonds - Friday - 05-10-2010 Why have I not seen this sooner! As an Australian - I would recommend some naming conventions. What about Gondwana. Named after the ancient Earth supercontinent of the southern Hemisphere? I guess really, it depends if you are positing this southern House to be like the old 1950's Australia - with its deference to European (specifically British) culture. Surely you have to have an unlawful group called the Eurekan Front? And what about that nefarious bunch of pirates, the New Kelly Gang! Ships or military bases - you could name after Australian PMs, or early Colonial Govenors. Who wouldnt want to see the SCC Rudd, or Howard Shipyard? If, however, you are positing a more modern Australian culture as a base - then it is a more multicultural one. There would have been people of all backgrounds on board that ship - and plenty of Italians too! Also, remember Australia's current penchant for giving everything indigenous names. Would this trend still be continuing? Would we see a nice red rocky moon called Uluru? Is there room to call a mining station Kalgoolie? And for shame! How could we forget WAGGA WAGGA! Gotta include the old Wagga somewhere! Believe me, I am not taking the piss out of you guys - if anything I want to get involved! I am just trying to put up some food for thought here. Broken Bonds - pieguy259 - 05-10-2010 The Australian House is called Southern Cross, the pirates are Bushrangers, the ones in Victoria style themselves after the Kelly Gang, and yes. There is a Kalgoorlie Mining Station. Broken Bonds - Inspecta06 - 05-12-2010 I was going to suggest Southern cross. It makes so much more sense. Other names could involve the words "Eureka", "Commonwealth", "Terra Australis", "The Great Southern Land", "Arnhem Land" (If your refering to the north). Oh and "Down Under!". I'm surprised that there aren't more Aussies responding. Broken Bonds - pieguy259 - 05-12-2010 It's the Southern Cross Commonwealth. |
