http://discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?title=Ki < - Import.

http://discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?title=Partisan < - Coalition ships stem from a different design background than the rest of Sirius. Same with Gallia. Also, Coalition ships are recieving new models next version.

http://discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?title=Penumbra < - Import

http://discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?title=Tiger_Shark < - A very old ship, created for Discovery back when there were not very many modellers at all and Disco was pretty much taking everything it could get.

http://discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?title=Saishi < - Import.

http://discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?titl...:Arbeiter-s.png < - Getting replaced.

http://discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?title=Virage < - Same deal as Tiger Shark, same modeller.

Some of those are import some of them are not. There are many more, I would say that don't match the Art work of freelancer 100%. Not all of them are bad, not all of them are good. You're going to get that. I would say this matches a bit more than almost anything on this list of ships. And I would also go as far as to toot my own horn and say it looks pretty damn good, for a side project hobby ship I did in my spare time. I made this ship, I made the texture. This ship is 100% my own, there are not a lot of ships that can say that on this mod.

And there are some really bad ships out there, that this could easily replace. But I guess it doesn't fit well enough. Sorry, next time I make a ship I'll just rip some more textures off of freelancer hit map all and slap'em on there like so many other ships I've seen. Saves me some damn time anyways. With crappy stretched, or squished textures, that don't align properly and take up more then a megabyte of space. It will look like someone botched the texture job on a freelancer ships, but hey the textures look exactly the same as another ship. So we can all be happy.

Whatever, this is obviously not worth my time any more to do it properly. Since, I don't match everyones expectations exactly. No sense in adding a ship that looks like another import.
So your argument is that because there are other ships that don't meet the design standard then it's okay for you to ignore it as well? Most of those models were added before such a standard was in place, back when imports were added as space holders, back when we had few modellers. Well, we got an excess of decent modellers now. I think we can afford to pick and choose...
We're aiming to improve the quality of the mod, not keep it at the present level. I don't see much point in replacing an import with a model that will probably need to be replaced again further down the track. Know the Tiger Shark and Virage? They would have been awesome once too.

Well, its very obvious you love acting like a bitch on the internet. Thats funny for the entirety of two seconds. But I don't care, or do I need to care about what you think. All the models I've been making have been for school projects. I thought it would be nice to put the extra time in send them this way. Clearly I was wrong, so if their not needed thats no problem at all for me. I'm done here anyways, and will stop all further attempts at ship submissions.

Geez, overreaction much?

The freaking POINT of feedback is to gauge how people feel about something!

IT IS PERFECTLY VALID.

I like the model, but like other people have said, just reskin it with normal FL textures (Bretonian ones would allow the same color scheme).

Also, Ashes/Nighthawk/Catie (STILL have no idea how I got that...) has a good point.

I could see this in the mod. It could fit into that Vigilante ship-line that I heard so much about.

Make it a Civilian able to buy VHF, vuz the Eagle and Raven's Talons are getting OLD.

Skin it with Zoner, then sell it on Freeports.

*drops 2 cents, then realizes he's broke again*

*Grabs his Sekhmet and flies to raid the coin cup*

FOR...oh, im not Rheinlander.

Civilian Very (super maybe) Heavy Fighter - Vogel - 04-14-2010

It reeks of Starwars and Starlancer. Aka too "old" for the vanilla design standard you speak of. But it's a nice looking ship nonetheless.

I definatly want this thing in 4.86 !:P

Aha. I was simply being brutally honest, don't think that I'm unfairly targetting you. It's how I write feedback in all the ship threads, and if I don't have anything constructive to say or it's clear the modeller is a newbie then I simply won't post. You have good skill with modelling and good potential, you just aren't grasping the concept of Freelancer ships. My posts may not make you feel good about your model, but at least they're constructive, not simply "I'd buy 5 lol"
You can either keep going or you can walk away. Hell knows I didn't listen to the naysayers whenever I posted a ship on these forums. Some of their advice I followed, some I simply ignored.

Also, if I ever start acting like a bitch on the internet, I promise you'll see something new.

It looks very good and I think it would fit in.
I think the ravens talon don't looks like the other fl ships too.
or the Outcast dread dont has the typical outcast style.
Why not a new ship. So theres a mix of heavier ships in merc or bhg groups.
Maybe a new company which brought their first ship on the market.

Hope to see it in 4.86 or an update later.

Cereon out.

' Wrote:It's nice, but doesn't seems to fall in line with any other series of ship, unless you intend to make one based off of this, which, I wouldn't mind. Pretty good quality and great design. As I say, just a bit standing alone right now in the categories of FL ships.

Make it one of those free-for-all ships, like the marauder

also, i really like the model, i'd fly that!
