apart from being a fl ship or not ( which was already stated in the OP not to be anyway )

the ship is quite good - since you re quite advanced, there are a few things i d comment about:

- the way the front part narrows might be inverted ( that means - a softer progression of the main hull to the tip )
- the detailing is quite well done and well spread all over the ship - even the pirate insignia doesn t look out of place
- even if it hasn t got an abundance of wings and useless frills etc. - it has the air of a ship used in a japanese anime ( macross or similar ) - i cannot say why i have this impression though. [ that is mostly caused by that little wing in its back, which is the only part being a little out of place. for a ship that looks so conservatively solid, the wing is a strange design element.... like pimping a car in a rather bad way, making it look "cheap" ]
- from the top, the rear end of the ship looks a little boring - it might need wider parts or details in the middle/middle-rear to pronounce the idea of a ship being pushed by 4 heavy engines ( you know... heavy in the rear, light at the front )
- the general lines suggest a utilitarian look ( few lines leave the horizontal/vertical scheme ) - so the ship has a rather conservative look about it.

all in all a very very good design indeed. - does your school project also include texturing?

It's such a shame it is not for discovery, as it looks beautiful.
