Rescaling the Liberty Dreadnaught - Altaris - 05-08-2010 I dont get why should every single house have lolbig ship. Liberty Dreadnought is kind of ship, where agility and speed makes the role. Not brute force. Besides its vanilla model. Dont touch vanilla models please. Rescaling the Liberty Dreadnaught - tansytansey - 05-09-2010 I like how you compare a Light Battleship with a Heavy Battleship. I've been comparing the Kusari to other Light Cruisers, not heavy Cruisers. I also love it how people create troll threads like these when they can't come up with a decent argument or have a civilized debate :) Rescaling the Liberty Dreadnaught - Zeltak - 05-09-2010 I love it how people stick to one argument and refuses to acknowledge others and label them as "moot points" as their only way to counter them.:) Rescaling the Liberty Dreadnaught - Garuda - 05-09-2010 Osiris Bigger BHG BS Bigger Bretonia BS Bigger Outcast BS bigger(No the dread) Bretonia GB smaller Kusari GB Bigger Pirat transport Bigger Mining Ship is now a Cap Here is the list of Caps need bigger or Smaller And the Dread has the right size. Rescaling the Liberty Dreadnaught - Alexander Draconis - 05-09-2010 Just for this argument, I will give my perspective. The reason the Dread is smaller than the Rheinland are as follows (RP explanations) 1: Liberty is rich. Rheinland, while having a great industrial complex, is behind Liberty in miniaturization and streamlined design. Thus, Rheinland needs larger machinery to accomplish the same goal. This is a detriment they have embraced and tried to compensate for. Read 2. 2. Differing design and tactical philosophies. Liberty has the ability to produce smaller ships with comparable power; so they do. Also, they favor speed, agility, and numerical advantage (though who doesn't like numbers). Rheinland has to build bigger to get the same power in a ship, so why not build way bigger to try and take advantage of a larger ship? They trade the benefits of lighter, faster ships for more staying power, extra guns, and expanded facilities for ammunition and fighter craft. This is likely how the two have built for some time. So, Rheinland has great industrial strength, hence it's ability to construct it's less efficient designs in similar numbers, while Liberty spends more money making the ship smaller instead of bigger. They end up with similar power ratings and similar production numbers, but are still very different beasties. I hope this at least made sense? Rescaling the Liberty Dreadnaught - Eppy - 05-09-2010 No. And I won't even go into the effed up balancing you're messing with. You can't rescale this model because it's Vanilla. It's canon modelwork, und ve do not touch ze canon modelverke. Besides, even if we did, do you know how ridiculous it would look? The windows would be the height of a Sabre. The details would be shot to hell. If Liberty needs a Dreadnought-sized battleship they have their Carrier. Rescaling the Liberty Dreadnaught - atlantis2112 - 05-09-2010 Sameplz. Rescaling the Liberty Dreadnaught - tansytansey - 05-09-2010 It's a toll thread Eppy, don't bother trying to post anything relevant in here. It's not supposed to be productive. Rescaling the Liberty Dreadnaught - Zeltak - 05-09-2010 Plz. Post constructive comments or leave discussion thread. Rescaling the Liberty Dreadnaught - Linkus - 05-09-2010 The topic in itself is meant to prove a point. Can you see how silly the idea is? Simply because the ship is small..and balanced while small..and kills things just as well as bigger ships because it is designed small, doesn't mean it should suddenly be made bigger and completely rebalanced. The Liberty Dreadnaught is balanced as it is now. The Liberty Dreadnaught is a unique ship in it's own right. The Liberty Dreadnaught works fine as it is now. Why change it? You can say the same about the Kusari Destroyer. |
