I second that. But I can't understand you. The presence of Mechas won't make a series good or bad. I'm at the second episode of this, so I can't form an opinion.

But Code Geass is a truly awesome series, despite the fact that there are those in it.

I also don't like catgirls, but Elfen Lied with a main character who mostly only can say 'Nyau' is again a beautiful one.

Prejudice is unhealthy, get rid of it.

Mm, though I don't understand how you can not understand me, It's like getting put off from Lady Gaga's music videos cos of her screwed up costumes despite however good the rest of the video may be (not that I actually like her videos nor her songs).

I just dislike it in general, and the presence of it puts me off. I mean I can stand it, I do have Code Geass around somewhere, though I haven't watched it yet. (Actually, I'm in the middle of taking a break from anime right now)

Probably look into some a little bit of mecha when I get back to anime. I was gonna watch Code Geass but never got into it.

Code Geass is quite good, once you get into it.

The mecha in this series are not the 'super powered' mecha you see in some anime, from memory the good guys actually end up with their mecha in pieces around the place.

They seem to be more 'tanks walking upright' more than anything else.
Mind you it has been a *long* time since I've watched the series, but I can't remember the mecha doing anything amazing.

@Spazzy, I watched the english voice version of both NGE and Code Geass, I didn't think the voices were that bad.

@Disparagessence, I watch quite a varied range of Anime, true I *do* like my mecha, but if there is nothing but mecha involved in the storyline, it tends to get very ordinary quickly.
One of the best Anime I have seen that has mecha in it is "Full Metal Panic". Good storyline with comedy, action and a few other things mixed in. Worth a watch.

Watched it a long time ago, the ending was a mind rape, in a bad way. Couldn't figure out what happened.

Still, a few kids pilot massive superpowered armoured suits that can rape a nation, yet they are slaves to the military.

WHY KIDS!?!?

Watch Code Geass, Sind.:)

That's not sorrow... that's madness.

NGE had lots of psychological stuff involved in it. A great series.

This is correct.

Code Geass does have win.

Season two is easily as good as season one.

Another good anime is "Full Metal Panic", has big robot things, cute girls, a stealth submarine, cute girls, a actual storyline of sorts and did I mention the cute girls?
