Zoner ID - Dab - 10-01-2010

Rephacked hostile to the house unlawfuls won't stop the transporting of artifacts/cardi to Manhattan fifteen times a day. Nor the 'NEUTRaL dON"T PIRAT". It'll also return us to corporate routes, such as taking Bretonian Gold to Liberty or Rheinland, being done by Zoner Whales again. Reducing cargo to 3.8k I have, and will, completely oppose. This kills the only thing the Zoners have going for them. They are a TRADE faction. Reducing them to a 3.8k transport as their largest would be like changing the BowEx ID to only allow 3.8ks. Just no. The current ID set works just fine. If you still want to merge the IDs, which isn't a bad idea, than do this;

Zoner ID allows 5ks, but any ship with over 3,800 cargo, or of battleship class, cannot dock in house space except for the exceptions already listed. This also already stops them from docking pirate bases. Re-add Junker bases as one of those exceptions. This will stop the in-house shenanigans 'Zoners' were doing and shouldn't (this was solved by the Guard ID changes). This doesn't limit the ZoI, which makes sense since the Zoners are SUPPOSED to be everywhere. They are wanderers and traders. Mainly in the borderworlds, with only some small supply runs into house space. This fully fits in the vanilla and current lore concerning the Zoners. It does, however, limit their docking of house stations to stop them from doing ridiculous things like running corporate routes.

Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats, Cruisers, Battleships

Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime.

to make things clear

"problems" were caused by moronic players - no matter what faction and ship they used. - mostly they used the ship class "forum" to spread dislike and hatred. - and we don t restrict the forum - but encourage people to use it - yet it caused most of the misery in the community.

@praedictum:

a little selfish - but maybe you can ask for a special TAZ ID if you think you re treated badly. ( you as in the taz )




all in all - a public discussion about it is really not too beneficial as there are too many players ( especially after the recent months ) who have their own little agenda going - for their own sake.



the zoner IDs are not broken atm. - if there has not been an official faction asking for an alteration, i still don t see a reason to alter it. - even the ZG nerf ( docking rights ) are now established enough - even if the houses still expect to be allowed to dock on freeports when zoners are not allowed to dock on house bases. ( a one sided, but hardcoded agreement )




from where i stand - no change is being supported unless the representing and official factions discuss it and agree on a change. - which is the leadership of the taz, osi and ztc. - if those three do not see a problem with the ID at that time, i don t see why others do.

I worked hard to get my Zoner Guard ZBT,so i want the Guard ID to stay the same,and reg ID too. In fact i think regualar Zoner ID should be even more limited. After all even when you get the rep for zoner guard ID,it is a dam pain in the ass to go buy it. Those who have done so will know what i mean.(nightmares of all those booms!) Also maybe just make a 3rd Zoner ID. sort of a Zoner trader ID or something for those with no intention of buying cap's,just the ZBT.

and dusty i dont wana hear crap about a faction with unlimited zoi and a 5k transport.

Then why does a trade faction need caps, Dab :laugh:

Would like to hear what OSI and TAZ have to say as the two Zoner offical factions.

But yeah if you want to boost house trade faction presence nerf the Interspace ID and get rid of the 5k transport allowance of the Zoner Guard ID to something like 3.8 or 4.3k
