I don't think the artifact smuggling cartels on Crete would be happy about an invasion force bringing to many eyes on there main smuggling route;)

sorry, had to speak up for the corsair side in that case...

The Liberty establishment isn't a major enemy of the Corsairs, to be honest. Why waste a fleet? They've Bretonia, the Hessians, the Outcasts, the Bounty Hunters' Guild, the Nomads and even Rheinland to worry about.

Signed, Corsairs should be looking to fight these listed above instead of Liberty. Liberty can't be a priority for em, thats for sure. The Order could keep fighting Liberty though, which would make sense but can't see a reason for Corsairs to come all the way from Crete to face Libertians.

Order helped them countless times. And now asked a favor back. And they agreed.
If you don't remember, then look at the Black Emerald event. Order came in Gamma to defend it from the Outcasts.
Why wouldn't Corsairs help them back?
I can't see the problem, they are actually very close to Liberty.
Yes, it's not their ZoI. But, as far as i know, every faction can get out of their ZoI from time to time.
HF was attacking Taus for god sake, and they are Lane Hackers (some weird kind of Hackers, yes, but they don't have business in Taus!)
Keepers also, attacking out of their ZoI from time to time.
Don't make the fuzz if you haven't made it for all the other examples.
I am more worried about taking 3 Battleships into attack on Liberty, then attacking of Liberty itself.
Corsairs wouldn't dare to attack such a strong House with 3 battleships, because, in RP, they would most certainly loose them all.

@Equinox - I hope you'r not transfering a TBH - Benitez speech war here too;)

Here's a screenshot of the opening fight, right before I rushed to the front to start shooting.

(And a side note... I specifically remember Universal - [\JG/]Rhakghoul(sp?) being shot down in the initial fight... after the crash he comes back and helps take me down when fighting off the fighters near missuri? Isn't that illegal:rtfm:? Oh well no matter, i'll just get even:D )

Well, my complaint is this. HOW can you claim you've taken over Liberty, when HF has done EXACTLY what you just did a hundred times over, yet still doesn't have Liberty? See my point?

Also, the HF in the Taus thing. We don't attack them anymore, that was ally assistance. We might attack enemies IN the Taus, but we don't actually attack any bases or systems in particular. But since people have the impression we're some strange kind of Hackers... For the last time, we're exiled Liberty Navy pilots. Got it? Good.

Other than that, HF will probably end up defending Liberty, just because of our ties to them.

It was very interesting to see LH 's stance towards the whole thing. I was pleasently surprised.
They identified that aside from differences Liberty was their home and they attacked corsairs independently from Liberty Security Forces.

I actually loved it as the Liberty fighters finally got a chance to stretch out their fighters.....and mercs got some money out of it too.

I think LH ~Gravaton led the charge on that one.... (good one !!!)

Liberty Defense Fleet Versus Joint Corsair/Order fleet - El Nino - 01-07-2008

:)on behalf of corsairs, that semingly didn't have much to do engaging liberty... We have allies for a reason, to cover our backs, up "north", they are no good to us if they're dead... so we gave them some corsair power to bost their standoff with LSF... we did lost at least one osiris, the liberty forcess so it seems (NPC's) are stretched thin and were unable to help in the NY battle, wich we promptly punished...

//nuff of that, good fight, we should team up again in a perhaps more probable system, the original battle was suppose to take place in Omicron Minor, but defending... LSF retreated to alaska first and then to NY... having assembled the fleet, the order took initiative and pursued (in an epic 1 hour run for 60k's of space) Libertians...
