As stated here. There are good,and bad RP reasons to F1. I stated early in post i do this. Why i asked for oppinions. I am not going to call others unfair,except in the 1 case i showed as an example,cause that was just dirty pool.

Well my opinion is you f1 in space only if you are at least two systems away from a friendly base and need to go, it is an emergency or you're in a barge with npc's hammering ya. Obviously if someone is on scanner range you don't f1 unless it is an emergency.

Well the only ships i ever F1 in space right now, are my miners.They have not docked,or moved from ore fields in like 6months. I send a transport to collect ore,and just leave miner in fields.Just like NPC miners. they never leave the ore fields. I do not even have bats/bots on them,or cash. Pirates want to blow them up? go for it,they get nothing. They want ore,or money they need to hit the transports.

I am OK with most reasons people F1 a ship in space. I just think it is wrong to use 1 to scan victoms,and another to jump ahead to rob them,or kill them. It is the same as a trader duel accounting,and having a fighter fly ahead to spot for his transport,and we all know that is a banable offence.

I find no problem with it. I RP it as powering down and floating around waiting. Ambush, you know. When it's some assteroid field, or nebula, or dangerous levels of radiation around, it's completely InRP. For caps, too.

However, i would REALLY like to see some kind of flhooking to look for oxygen onboard of ship, that'd give a reason for rp cargo to exist. I mean, when ships f1s in space, the time is logged. When it logs back, flhook looks at his cargo and checks time, if more time has passed than it had oxygen to (with some formula of, like, 1 unit = 10 minutes) it blows up. That'd give a whole new level of RP.

That didn't make much sense.

I can totally see the ship the size of Hegemon surviving a week in the asteroid field. Unless it's Omega-11. And transport could bring new crew and move the old one back to base. Supplies, too. Etc.
