All hulls are vulnerable to rockets. That's because ship hull points are actually tied to the model of the ship, and shield is a separate model. So when the hull is hit physically, hit points will decrease.

There's no way to make hulls or shields more or less vulnerable to rockets, at least I don't know a way to do that. All weapons have only one damage characteristic - hull damage, shield damage is counted as hull damage/2. There are types of shields that are more or less vulnerable to particular weapon types, but rockets and torpedoes are all the same, there are no types for them.

I cannot make nomad turrets much more powerful because then Nomad battleship that has a real lot of those turrets will become practically invincible. There's only one type of Nomad turrets so both PC (in future I might make them flyable) and NPC versions will be affected. It's possible to make a new weapon item of course...

I haven't tested that theory. >_>

excellent work on the docking scritps Igiss. the liberty dreadnaught is MUCH easier to dock in 4.74 than it was previously.

is it just me or are nomad battleships immune to rockets as well? i was out in the unknown sector pounding the nomad fleet when i noticed that the battleship only seemed to be taking damage form laser fire. i tried to get frontal and broadside hits on it, but still only was the HP bar drop from laser hits.

Yes I made a post somewhere, the nomad battleships are in fact immune to rockets;
the nomad gunboats are not however

Semi-important bug detected here. Least important for us pirates....

The new mooring point over Planet Crete (corsair home planet) is hostile to corsiars. Meaning that even though the planet is allied with me, and Green to the approach, the mooring fixture won't let me dock at it. I can always wander over to tripoli shipyard for my piraty needs, but flying a dreadnaught through that asteroid field is kind of a pain.

On the plus side, it IS funny to watch every corsiar that launches from the planet to immediatly turn around and start blasting away at thier own mooring point :-p

Didn't find the clue yet. In the mooring fixture options owning faction are corsairs.

Me again, with another bug report... i really don't hunt for these i swear. They just find me. I just picked up a novaslayer torpedo launcher from planet Primus with bugged damage. It actually appeared under the correct name in the equipment list (instead of a more expensive sunslayer duplicate), but the ammo appeared exactly as a more expensive sunslayer duplicate. The damage (both listed and actual) is identical to the sunslayer torpedo. I tested this on some NPC ships of various sizes, and then on a friend's Eagle. His class 10 shield (~11k HP) dropped less than 50% from a direct novaslayer hit. Meaning that the new ordinance is actually doing the sunslayer's ~11k/5.5K damage.

Also, when this is being fixed, could you add 22.5k (45k/2) shield damage to the novaslayer so it does 45k hull AND 45k shield? Seems like a torpedo of such great cost should stand a chance against its target's shielding. It was intended to give fighters a fighting chance against the capital ships, but working through well over 400 thousand (initial +batteries) shield units of a capital ship in 22k increments just to get to the hull is a pretty slim chance indeed.

Not to mention incredibly expensive.

It's difficult to dock at Freeport 9 in a large ship, I think because there are moor points that are not accessible to the large ships. Could they be deactivated?

On the subject of moor points, I used to hear on the radio chatter "Your request to moor is granted, please proceed to moor x". We players don't get to hear that though. If the speech is in there, any chance that it can be enabled?

4.74 Discussion - Igiss - 07-23-2005

Mooring points were converted to jumps, this was done intentionally, otherwise medium moor points don't work at all. So you hear that "please proceed to 5" stuff. Nothing can be done with it really. It's almost the same as in Evolutions, however I used the docking system that no one I believe used before in any mods... my own invention. Very simple and works better than others.

Yes, it's certainly better than other mods I have seen, including Evo, and I'm impressed with it. I love this mod, thanks Igiss.
