@ Ingenious If I got your stuff right, it doesn't matter, if the ship is bigger or smaller, good, guess I brain-farted there. But Caps have definetely such a thick and whatever hull, asteroids would probalby only scrape of the paint on the ship.

me too
only way to report is to record it ...

Here's a great way to "enforce" it: introduce hull damage.

"It's not fun" -- neither is radiation, but you've dealt with it since vanilla

"It's not fair" -- fly a fighter

"It's not realistic" -- yes it is, even tiny asteroids can damage unshielded stations, and the best Freelancer ship shields only protect so well against high energy particle weapons. A slower collision with a massive asteroid will deliver a significant, crushing impulse to your ship components regardless of size.

Despite all the stuff said here, if it's annoying or not, it's a game, don't take it so serious.

P.S.: The game is not Sanctionlancer, isn't it ?

EDIT: @Ingenious - you sure about the shield thing ? I guess the engineers of the shields already thought about asteroids and did stuff about that
EDIT: I think we are getting into the wrong discussion

Nor annoylancer. Yes? Exactly.

Because the ultra-awesome "aces" got beat, then whined about the fact that they lost. It's the truth.

inb4 "No jaec u nub loollololo"
I know I'm probably going to do it to avoid ganks now and again. Here's another example for the nerd inclined: The Asteroid Bounce is kind of like berries in Pokemon. They were put in the game to be used, so I'm going to use pinch berries in online battles. The other player can get over it.

And let me guess, you're not one of those aces so when you can't win you just wanna annoy them through game mechanic flaws.

If this game 'were' to be realistic, then anything you collide into will give you massive damage, and insta-boom for fighters. Why?

Like Ortiz said, all your 'shields' are only good against energy based collisions. If I toss a rock at yer ship, it'll hit the hull, since it isn't carrying any charge or energy with it.

The only shield I can imagine to stop physical things is the Graviton shield, since it said it creates a gravitational force field around the ship, to stop physical things.

So yeah, leave the bouncing be. >.>

@ Snak3
Quote: If you get annoyed get some fresh air

-> anti-annoy-medicine , and like I said, it's a game, don't take it so serious

@ RIU.H yes and missiles always go directly through shields and do massive damage on caps, sure

[color=#FFFFFF]So you won't take it seriously and you won't report me if I abuse the game mechanic to respawn right after I "died". I don't think so.

And you say that tiny asteroids damaging mighty caps isn't realistic let me put it to you this way. If you want to go realistic the asteroids will fly with something like 30 000km/h and a golf ball sized asteroid can hit your ship with the equivalent force of a hydrogen bomb. So whatever you do won't be realistic, but it will be a way to limit the abuse. The same way as clocking device is a reasonable escape from pirates but we report it anyway because it's annoying and most of all lame

No, probalby I won't report you; I was killed, annoyed, and whatever'd by rule violations probalby very often and I reported only once. Oh, yeah and I take the statement 'not realistic' back, looks like I brain-farted, I totally understand your point.(I knew it, but meh, like I said, sometimes I forget things and talk stupid stuff)
BUT, still, don't take everything so serious, seriously.
