' Wrote:Yeah, indeed very nice for caps for some fancy manouvers. But they are easy to exploit by skilled enemies in their caps. I tried to fight with my Osiris against another battleship with using turett steering. I have lost because the other cap just didn't use the new option. In my opinion you should get rid of it during heavy BS fights because it's kinda hard to strafe during turett steering too. That makes you an easy target and open up a huge advantage for your enemies. But it is good for something smaller. You can easier follow the smaller vessels without many risks and can even stop them where conventional methods would fail.
Map both steering and strafing near. I use the numpad, for example.

1-3 turn left-right
4-6 roll
7-9 strafe left-right
5 ek
8-2 turn up-down
0-. strafe up-down
mouse middle button thruster

Of course I realise that. And that's one reason why I don't use it. I am just stating my opinion. I think you can be easily outmaneuvered by other BS, that's all I would say about this in a BS vs BS fight.

' Wrote:You'll need the latest version of Cannon's experimental dsace.dll (check file name) which contains several new features prepared for 4.86, one of which is turret steering. For further information on how to use it you'll need to ask someone else, since I haven't tried it yet.

Took me ages to figure out why the link within that link wasn't working.

Just in case anybody is as challenged as me:

There is a new one.
