Silmathien Jirent - Silmathien - 01-26-2012 Logfile 18 Another day of sadness; Omega-58 was turned to dust. The beauty of this system now lies in fragments of relentless numbers of stardust particles. I think it was forced by the Wilds, due i have not many clues why they'd do that. Aside from that, my respect for that alien race has gone a little further away. Maybe they want to change systems, so no human can live within it and force them out of the sector. We couldn't recognize any instabilities in this system before. Anyway, there is some progress going on in our research in the Omicrons lately. Mary tries to create more simulation rooms so we can study aspects furthermore. With all the strangers out there it would be too much of a risk going out there ourselfs. Lost is, surprisingly, a very safe system by now. Order maybe interested in it, but we will be long gone before they decide to build up settlements. And they will for sure. Moros is home to some alien lifeforms after all. But unlike the Order and others, we don't force things to happen. We watch and try to understand and not to break in in thinking our way is the only way. We got some recordings again of course since the last time from the new appereance of sirius. Omicron Delta Omicron Delta Omega-58 neutron star - the high radiation level starts at 6.5k, its effect is much of the same of the one in O41 Omega-58 asteroid field Omega-55 Heavily guarded jumphole to the O58 system The newly discovered system Cayman I had the taste of oranges in my mouth, when i looked at this recordings Cayman - North side Cayman - South side Big surprise in the Chester system - a Nomad Hive Cluster And a small sample of our..work *cough* Moros Moros Moros Purpose was mostly range tests with the new lense on night side and lighting conditions, as well as sunlight affects the planet and its lifeforms. Well we focussed on the atmosphere and other planet surroundings, before we gonna start in 'digging deeper'. For the Cayman system - it seems to be housing a faction called 'Reapers of Sirius'. The name is ugly - i don't like it. Just another warmonger who jumps on people i guess. But i won't make any premature prejudices. But names are most half of the signs which direction a faction will go, so i we're gonna avoid that guys. Drones may bring in more information before we decide which side they are on from our point of view. Ah, i also want to understand what Nomads are up to. But they're so unpredictable i'm gonna ignore that too. Sirius went nuts! It is what will happen when the GRN will meet up with these aliens that is. Can't imagine what sort of war they will bring down upon the Omicrons. This will definitely end up in a total mess with Order, BHG, Navy, Nomad, Outcast and Gallic Navy forces, Corsairs will gladly join that murderous attempts. Mmh, next system i check out will be Liberty borders i guess. Though i don't like Liberty. Way too many flies around for commercial interests. But there will always be a system where i can go, without anyone can bring harm to the crew. A safe home for whom who is tired of all this warmongers, cashgreedy people, advertisements of lies and disturbing times. Safe travels. Silmathien Jirent - Silmathien - 02-23-2012 Logfile 19 It's time for Gallia. We made our move in hostile territory and thanks to some contacts in the Council, we positively aquired the goods, we were interested in. We discovered a little bit of Berry, while we were there. And a little of Lyonnais. The drone always takes the shortest way, but we detected pilots at the Tau-37 jumphole, so it took the other way to the Omicrons. The x-2 savely arrived in Lost. Meanwhile the x-3 was curving through Liberty and Borderworlds, trying to make out the source of the other goods. The transshipping took place at Kurile in Sigma-17. Seems Gaian Wildlife can now be found on Planet Harris. Well, Planetform is really lucky..or not. Solome has now the little pet she always wished for. Two more happy lifes in the universe. We headed for the newly discovered system Koeln. Pretty nice. They got a freelancing Research Lab out there. Catched also some good info there. Similar souls there, maybe even a new homebase. Can be quite annyoing to cloak in open space all the time to be honest. Just use up alot of energy, though we don't need it often. We'll see how it works out. At least Martin feels like at home again. Though i don't like it so near to housespace, LWB and Unioners seems to be quite active here. But this shouldn't affect the good mood we're currently in. Peace. Silmathien Jirent - Silmathien - 05-20-2012 Logfile 20 The sights of the endless universe always gives me shivers and a calm feeling at the same time. We took a break and wandered around the stars and planets for the fun. Nagano is a pretty nice system for a Geisha and we cruised in there a few days. Seems there is also a base for miners there or something like that. Kusari seems to invest in the mining business lately. They sure have a good start with the fact, that they have a nap with Gallia and are not at war with anyone at the moment. Dragons must be even more upset about this than they are usually with Kusari at normal times. Kusari seems to be in a shapeshifting mode, as there are stations popping out everywhere..and they do not act very friendly, shooting mostly everything in sight. I hoped we could visit my family in Nagano, but they weren't there, so my best guess is they change places again. Nagano 1 Nagano 2 I decided to rename the drones, since it was a little complicated to remember the right one sometimes. The list depending now on the vessel capacities, functions and combat abilities. Therefore the lightest are the smallest number, the higher ones are heavier and suited to their more defensiv abilities. X-1 is the name of the lightest drone (which is actually the Arrow). X-2 represents our newest replacement from the decent Marauder to the Scraper. After i saw the construction at Freistadt base, i knew it was worth the price. Besides we also needed a light ship with a focus on mining operations, just for the purpose of gathering materials more efficiently. X-3 is the Spatial. I don't think that it will be replaced so soon, as we need a vessel which can clear passages in asteroid fields. SMV-612-C "Scraper" Civilian Medium Miner We wanted to research the object in Omega 3 near the freeport, when we came by, but traffic there is usaually high. We tested the new x-2s turret aiming and gathering efficiency. No material was lost during gathering and nothing wasted while storing up and refining. Aiming and gathering Amberro redesigned the ships interface and implemented his newly developed program into the vessel. Upgraded technology means we have to be more careful. We don't leave traces, that is our sign after all. X-2 will fully research the object when there's a high probability that nobody is showing up nearby. Analysing in progress For the matter of resupply; we didn't find the right person yet, but we'll keep looking. We're not short on them, we just want a little bit more to the additional reserves for reasons of safety. The Tengai Project was a financial throwback. We have to wait for other investors who are willing to support us. There are only a few, so the progress for the project came to a halt. Ah, if you have something that money can't buy, you should not sell it anyways, haha. Sil out. Silmathien Jirent - Silmathien - 06-16-2012 Logfile 21 Things are getting started in Omicron Lost. I thought it was the Order or the Nomads, who are the first to 'lay claim' for Moros. The bunch of people who get here to settle down, are..strange. I didn't want to say crazy, but they sure give me a headache already after the exchange of a few sentences. I mean..Bounty Hunters who talk nonsense and think they are not human? That sounds like they inhaled a bit too much of their own Helium-3, they're using for the movement of this grand plans with big ships and stuff. Of course they demand us to leave and threatend us with their (obviously infamous) inhospitality of gunfire. First thought was, that they might came from the Order, but alas, was i surprised to see the Guild here. Even more they're represented by this guys, who seems to love to stumble over their own tongues. At dinner i called in for a little 'conference', since this matter affects us all. Amelle didn't care much..like always. The Scientists were not happy, cause researching Moros is now a problem, but hey, we have alot of other work here on the ship for them. The rest was agreeing with me to stay away from them. As for the ressources; this is the last thing that would worry me. We have plenty of food, water and other common supplies stored. We stay hidden of course. Not to mention that we are just being provoked by this infantile newcomers in Lost. Good thing i stopped ordering new supplies in. Could've been a little trouble for others to enter, now that the jumphole is frequently used. For the life on the planet..well, we can't do anything to save the environment. But then, it does seem to be pretty aggressive. On the other hand, if the Nomads are realizing whats happening out there, this will get ugly, i'm sure. We also heared the news about the GRN in Alpha. I said before that this war will turn around the Omicrons. At least if they are getting serious in 'conquering' Sirius. But i think they have enough trouble on the other side with Bretonia. Ah, poor Bretonia. Long time since i was there. Maybe the Queen is not so amused about the 'state of the art'. *Sigh* Is there any good news today? Well, for me, i just had a shower and my headache is gone. Oh and our x-1 sighted an intersting planet..i think it's a planet. Lemme see..yep, a planet. Identified as Planet Argeles in the Rousillon system. It has a strange..aura around it. Hard to describe such a thing. Maybe 'twas just my feelings, but when watching our drone moving away, the planet seems to grow. It's like one of those mirages in the sandy desert. As for the Council; i wish them luck. They sure can need it. At least they seem to work together with Bretonia now, pushing back the invasion a little. Owen mentioned, multiculture is important and if Gallia succeeds in taking over, then this would be a big step back. For me, every war is a step back. But this is lasting now for a few months without any big changes, as far as i can see, which means the plans for the GRN came to an abrupt halt. So i don't worry 'bout it to much. We are planning to get ready to move out. We don't want, but if things here in the Omicrons are getting worse, then we should be prepared for it. Problem is; we don't know where to go. Back to Coronado? It's full of robbers. Baffin would be a good choice, because of its connection between housespace and borderworlds. But i don't like the TAZ. Not very friendly if it comes to the point, when you wandering around their systems. Especially this religious cult. I never looked to settle into one of the houses again. Being a citizen makes your life a living hell. We need indipendence, without getting involved in stupid gunfights everytime we get close to planetary orbits or space stations. It is really sad, that you'd now think about space territory in factions, rather then the system itself. If they say Kepler, you say Xenos. If they say Tau, you say IMG..or Gallia, if you know what i mean. This sector was once a really nice place, without greedy ****, that people drives like a river in only one way; downhill. Aah, what i'm getting angry about. Not worth the stress anyway. Uhmm, let's see. Liberty is the last place i want to be in. Maybe the Omegas. 49 looked pretty quiet. But it's a bit to bright for my taste. Well i need to talk to the others and i'm sure we can find a new place to settle down, for as long as it holds peace in it, before somebody decides to build a base to raid people near it. *Uploading data - saved* Planet Argeles Hra'lek-ret Inactive weapon platforms BHG Big ship Distance jumphole <-> planet Silmathien Jirent - Silmathien - 06-25-2012 Logfile 22 The crew was glad we moved out of the Omicrons. I have to agree with Yumi and Yarimi here. We were sitting ducks for too long out there. Omicron Lost will be missed, but we had a great time. Right now we are in a good mood, call it the 'atmosphere of departure'. The Silmathien will head for the outer Omegas, where the Zoners settled down. Also we have good connection to most of the other systems. You can reach from Rheinland to Bretonia in a short time, relatively speaking. After sending out the scout drones, we decided not to take the path through Omega-52, which is inhabitet by some other divisions from the Colonials. Strange..weren't they also in Coronado? Just lovely how the neighbourhood always stays the same. The x-3 didn't reacted on their calls. Remember for future times; silence is your friend. Truly, makes you get to hear the things you want to hear. Love to see how all those people getting nervous about a bunch of peaceful scientists, starting to throw punchlines at drones with 'leave place', 'kill you' or 'answer' in it. What a funny place universe can be, where open space houses closed minds. So, we take the route through Kusari. Getting us also a little bit of additional supplies. We needed to stock up optronics. New Tokyo is flooded with people by the way. If you love human masses squashing you to pieces: feel free to visit the Metro. I laughed so hard when they came back to the ship. I know why i didn't go with them for the shopping tour. Not Tokyo. I told them it wasn't a good idea, but do anyone ever listens to Sil? Anyways, we passed by the Taus and Bretonia by striving through the systems Roussillon, Newcastle, Manchester, London and Cambridge. The x-1 and x-2 were taking mostly the same route. The x-3 was sent through Rheinland and also registered a little mining base in Omega-11. Guess Daumann or Kruger need to do some adjustment to their weapon platforms. Really, guys..don't build them all at one side. Whoever runs it, is not the brightest bulb in the lamp. Our drone could easely slip behind the station, watching the weapons go off, shooting the thing they should protect. What else? Uhm, yes. Future plans. I'm bad at that. We just let it coming, seeing what the future brings for itself. Our security has still the highest priority and since we don't want people around us, we got used to play hide and seek..or tag. Ah, good old times. I'm sure the Omegas have plenty of opportunities for researchers and explorers. About Project Tengai; it goes on, slowly but surely i hope. First i wanted to buy just a Gunboat for increased firepower, to defend our property, but then i thought 'screw it'. That would make us starting to look like Militaries. I have to be very careful not to became something i hate. In my early ages i was dedicated to security services, in good faith, it would help to protect the people i liked. It didn't. What protects people really, you'll find in your heart. No way i let the mind trick that muscle again. Oh, sentimental time, off you go. So the Tengai will be a brandnew Luxury Liner - the Shukensha from Renzu Corp. It's pretty nice and has good Cargo Space, which we will need. Also it will be our new base for the Scientists. The Geisha will act as a resort place for the Crew. I'm still not sure how i should handle all this out, but time will tell. We need tons of money first. 400 Million Credits. Quite a sum for the poor fellows we are. Omicron Lost You're ok? Omega-52 Frank and Yumi having fun. Omega-3 - Not enough asteroids for Frank. Silmathien Jirent - Silmathien - 07-20-2012 Logfile 23 Yo. After we got the taste of that bloomish bright system of the Omegas, we decided to wander around more. Besides; traffic is horrible there. We don't want to be interrupted every few hours. After the Tengai moved through Gallia, i come up with the idea to settle down there. Just for a little test. I have to say: It's very convincing so far. I know, the officials wouldn't be so pleased, knowing we operate there secretly, but hey; we're ghosts. Plus they got a pretty big war on their hands. And all the criminals of their own. I sent Martin to persuade some of the Corse, as he is the most diplomatic person onboard my ship, but they weren't very interested in our work, until they heard about Artifacts. They look like they wanted to control all of the black markets. They even trade with slaves. I found out that the Brigands aren't any better. We still hold onto the Council and try to stay away from the other groups. The Corse system is pretty perfect though. It is nearly empty and has no sun. The first time i saw something like that. Emtpy space is truly remarkable for people like us. The system is claimed, of course, but it's not like there is much going on in there, so we will have it comfortable enough. The Tengai is right now a transport and brings in the newly discovered supplies from Gallia. They are highly advanced in technic settings, but lack a bit in the agricultural sector. Wine is their speciality and they have luxury food in Berry i believe, but it looks like, since they concentrated much on the war efforts, they seem to be neglecting their other aspects of the in-house-transports and planetary growing. There are Junkers in Gallia. Interesting. We may can sell some parts to them for additional income. Scrap will be of use to the GRN for building additional ships and engines, i hope. This will lead to an increased money gain to these Gallic Junkers. And if they got the money, we can actually trade. They are quite on the lawful side and don't like Sirians too much though. I don't know. Before we start to act a bit bolder, i like to know the new people and groups more. Synergy is important, but on the other hand, we never met any people like us and got used to it. The Tengai will be represented by the Shukensha. A big ship. Bigger than everything i have had commanded so far. Currently it is a Big Dragon. Lot of free room for goods. Speaking of; the Silmathien is now officially out of free space. Which is actually a good thing. We got all the Consumer Goods, even some rare Gallic Artefacts. Guess the Brigands didn't know what they had there, or just wanted to get rid of it. They said they looked forever for someone who was interested in buying them. It's like an open market up here. I like that. You can choose what you buy and don't buy a whole package, when you're just interested in a few pieces. Omega 50 Sun inside, planets outside...is that all the Universe has to offer? I don't think so! Omega 50 Too much sun burns the skin...and the eyes. Ile de France New supplies on ze way, like the Rheinlander would say. Calais Research Facility Mainly weapon research. Nothing of interest for us. Picardy is a nice system though, we love to see more of it. Corse Pink! My color. If someone shouldn't already have noticed... New Home? We shall see. I'm glad to be here, others are not. You know a Freelancer when you see one. Coronado Just noticing how the Colonial Remnants start to take over Coronado. Wasn't this a DSE base before? Just a small noticeable change i wanted to have. The only place in Liberty we visited more or less scheduled, was Station Willard for Prometheum tests and extraction. But since those Researching stations started to be closed off to foreigners, it doesn't matter the route is getting smaller. Ames is still open to us. The drones are okay. The x-3 lacked an android we lost during the travels. Frank should had the watch, but alas, he decided to watch animes instead. This guy surely get less motivated by the hour if you give him a responsible task. Too much for the good Vice Captain. Since Simon manages the money account, maybe i should put him up here. The Tengai is currently under full control by the new girl, Moriko Susume. She joined us a week ago. Heh. Yeh, i know. Why letting a new crewmember fly a thing of that size? You're right. Maybe a mistake. But that's how i test trust and honesty. Give people power. If they abuse it, you know it for sure. If they don't, consider yourself lucky. I give people one chance to proof themselfs. Just one is enough. You don't say anything specific. Moriko got the new ship, a list of what supplies were needed and the cash of course. That's all. And now we watching over, how she handle things. Call it a 'ceremonial admittance'. Moriko was/is a Zoner from the Omegas. We maybe didn't liked the systems to much, but i gotta admit: those Zoner stations have some great potential on it. And they seem to know it, else they wouldn't try to defend them so hard. Moriko is in the Engineer Squad and will assisting Amberro, when she's back on the Silmathien. I'm sure she won't get in trouble. The girl is clever and already know how we're working. First things i check on potential new members is the ability, to have the synergy, or to be on the same wavelength. We will now search for investors for a few of these Artefacts. We will hold onto the most of them, but the others are just not interesting enough. This will take quite a while now, especially for the exploring part, as Gallia is really big. Have to update all the new navmaps and mark important locations. For now: Au revoir. Silmathien Jirent - Silmathien - 08-02-2012 Logfile 24 Much happened since the last log, but like always i will cut out the longer parts and just record the important things. Right..lessee... The Corse don't want us around in their guard system. Didn't know it is. We try to keep out, as like for the other empty looking parts of that side of Gallia. We headed directly to Berry and skipped Provence and Auvergne. Planet Briare lies within the Cher Asteroid Field. These are ice asteroids, which will come in handy, if we should run out of water. We have the mining and processing tools onboard for years now, even though we didn't used them that much. Maybe Riley gets his old work back out here. Trouy is of no importance to us. Don't like iceworlds - you can look, but don't touch. Gallia has systems with a high concentration of asteroids. Also clouds and dust nebulae increase the chance of not getting detected significantly. Planet Le Favril and Planet Senonches in the Orleanais system. We need the drones to investigate them further. Note to other travelers: Be very careful in these clouds when approaching planets and moons. Sensors can discover them easily (mostly), but you can't really estimate the distance, if you visit them for the first time. Villers-Cotterets in Ile-de-France. It's a desert. Interesting. Pretty dangerous too, with the asteroids reaching the ground. The Gauls seems to have an operation running out here. Ile-de-France sun. Mass is ok, temperature is quite high, but still in the norm for a medium class star. Guess New Paris will not run out of sunshine that fast. Planet Creil - Another planet with good disguise. As you can see on the map, the planets (around 9 or 10) are in close orbit to eachother. Wonder how their paths around the sun are working. Another interesting phenomenon we found in Anjou. Planet Angers orbiting two suns - a Medium White and a Medium Yellow. Angers is quite stable, due to the fact, that the suns masses are pretty equal to their distances to the planet. Now, about the Tengai Project; I know i said setting up another science team, but after seeing, that we can barely afford just one, i decided to go something different. The Tengai will become a luxury resort, for the rich and the poor. For spacefarers and peaceful travelers like ourselfs. A safe way to wander the stars without getting interrupted by local pirats and law enforcers. The Tengai is here to fulfill the dreams of all the scared families, which have suffered from the war and suppression of the unjust. Also a safe place for the wealthy and rich people. Our Shukensha is equipped with the latest technological advancements. I need to look for a security staff, to give the passengers the best available personal protection. Thinking about undercover acting bodyguards something like that. The ship will be subdivided in more parts. The actual apartments for each of the three classes. Since it is also used to bring in some credits, i have to differ between people, sadly. We treat them all the same of course, but for a higher price you need to also increase the comforts. 3rd class passengers will still feeling comfortable, meaning the style of comfort stays the same, increasing only the numbers for the guests who paying more. Anyway, one of the biggest parts can be found on the mid deck, which is shared between the parties. If one need some privacy - first and second class passengers have it in their apartments, without missing much of the other convinience (like whirlpools and such). Many areas of the ship are just there for the young ones to enjoy. Gamehalls and playgrounds of all sorts. Also i even thought about bringing in a school, so families can stay a longer time, before they go back to the intended destination. Making it not only a ship for adventurers and tourist, but also a resort for souls who are in need of protection of..bad influences. There's still much to do. The project has only begun. We have the ship and the interior fitting is almost complete, but only a few knowing about us yet. Maybe i should bang the drum a bit, but i'm pretty bad at that, since i'm an honest person and don't know what people like to hear. Propaganda seems to work like that. My idea of commercial is easy; you do your deeds, until the people starting to get aware of it, heh. So here are the few interim reports we got from Moriko, while we explored Ile-de-France. Coronado Some tourists joined to try it out. Moriko disguised herself as a vacationer. Baffin Passengers wanted to go to Tau 29. Moriko gladly helped them out. The personnel is the next important step. There are enough people, who seek a safe place to work at. As long as they don't bring in additional problems themselfs, we'll be glad to give them work and a home. Also a short sidenote: It is possible we will transporting refugees. I don't know how the house laws handle people like these, so we intend to stay careful with that (means we like to help, but we're not a free ticket for everyone). So far the idea works, lessee how the real thing goes, shall we? RE: Silmathien Jirent - Silmathien - 11-08-2012 Logfile 25 Hey. So, we were a little absent of Sirius and such, relaxing at the edge of the sector and when we come back to 'civilisation' we found ourselfs in a shitload of..yeh, of actually..what? I mean we've no real interest in politics and factions movements, but i didn't thought this would be so..serious. I was informed about IC in Rheinland, the situation seems still a bit over the top. Bonn Station was shut down for a brief period if the rumors are true. Next time i was talkin with a dragon about that guy that sell swords. Hisashi or so. Let me quote that blacksmith: Quote:A family business that has been passed down from generation to generation that dates back all the way to ancient Sol. We offer the best swords Kusari has to offer, all handmade, all made with care. Our swords are each carefully handmade by our master blacksmiths.A sword like that was supposed to be a soul to the warrior who'd be wearing it. Which is kind of ironic, that he sold those..things now. Let me tell you that - in my opinion - such people lost their honor a long time ago. You sell a weapon like that to anybody? You want money for this? This is ridiculous! Even more so, the blood dragon pilot doesn't seemed to be interested at all. I thought these people were fighting for an 'old fashioned', honorful Kusari? But ok, maybe they just not knowing what's going on under their own noses. Just thought they had more influence... Also checked the CNS reports and news. Some mining operations established in the Taus and Liberty foremost. Bases pop up left and right, just to disappear in a few weeks or matter of days. Criminals in Liberty spread. Some good, some bad and most worse. Money and fame still wanted. Enemy of the state? Nope. Still wanted for crimes and murder. Anyway, before my rants and observations or opinions go any deeper and more unpleasant, let's hop to our actual state (changing subjects like a boss). We have over 200 dedicated people now working on the Tengai. The ship was tested in asteroid fields and hazardous environment. I wanted to discuss the cabines' interior, while traveling - for the passengers and vacationers - , with Orbital Spa&Cruise, but unfortanetly they didn't seemed interested, or their secretary just shoved us away from the line. Too much work, who knows, i don't. I wanted to speak about Gallic Artefacts with the Gallic Junkers and they also didn't show up for some chat. Was expecting that though. After 3 days of waiting we just capped connections. We're always careful and i don't like sending out signals. We move all the time so no exact localisation should be found. Also the Silmathiens protective plating will do the rest. Anyway, we came up with something ourselfs. The seats, like most of the other small marvels in the Tengai, have some technical enhancements. The feedback booster for example do let the integrated user interface know of additional possibilites the passengers are able to adjust themselfs. In other words; the seat reacts differently to every person. Why make over 1000 seats the same way, when you can adapt them to the people? Comfort, safety and style is what we were and are aiming for. Mass was another interesting problem we were standing before. Amberro then had the idea of a gravitational flux between chambers in the ship. But you need so much room, that half of the ship would be already 'reserved' for it, so this unfortunately didn't come into question. We wanted the ship to have lightweight, but also be able to change masses inside, so we could simulate zero gravity. We still workin' on it. Most attractions are built. We even have some rollercoasters. The playgrounds for the kids are placed in the middle of the ship as additional safety for them and to disburden the security forces. By the way; i replaced the ex militaries with 'professionals'. The security will act undercover, so we are best prepared if something bad happens. We don't know the guests, but the integral A.I. will. Every passenger will be checked about symptoms, constitution and such. Would be bad if someone would infect others - we don't want that and i'm pretty sure others on the ship wouldn't either. Talkin about health care; of course health is one of the most important thing in space. We have more then one hospital. We had to calculate how many rooms we would need at a max peak (infections can spread really fast). Of course they can't hold all the passengers, so every private room is also equipped with a medicine chest. If needed we can even filter air, since the Tengai is equipped with additional fresh air, if there would be a hullbreach or poison. I just can imagine what horror you have to go through when your ships hull gets cracked open, watchin your friends get sucked into space. Ugh! So yeh, plenty of security measures. Enough about the Tengai. It's still not finished to say the least, but it is operational on the secure basis. The personal onboard the ship is ready for launch. About a third of them are cyborgs (including the captain) and very few are androids. We work with high expectations and they didn't let us down so far. Everything started so small out of nothingness. And space is the best believe, that something can be made out of nothing, i guess. The Silmathien sways in slow flight at high distance from Singapore Shipyard. Like i said, we just stepped away a bit from the chaotic systems and 'regulated' zones for a while. I was curious about the asteroid in Omega 3 and brought it up, trying to study some analogies between other near systems, but all i can do is a guess. I wanted to talk to Owen about it, but he just shrugged and maundered something about 'universe looks all the same'. Man, he really gets old. He was not in the mood for conversation all this time and i'm starting to worry about him. I'll take him with the rest of the crew on a trip on the Tengai. I'm sure he will like it. *Sighs* I heard some rumours in Singapore about Gallia. GRN activities seemed to have increased at the borders. Barman brabbling something about pirates and bandits out of control, even threaten some of the inner gallic systems. I think the man was drunk or mad. Probably both..at the same time. We stay out of Gallia for a little. Nothing we can reach there for now. Brigands are pretty crazy when it comes to abstract goods from others. Those bastards are almost as evil as the Corse. Corse has higher ambitions, but the Brigands can give you the sweetest smile, while stealing everything that stands behind you, without you even noticing. Gosh! Good i had those Artefacts already stowed in the ship. So yeh, not Gallia again. Yukon is our next step. I know very little about the system, so we checked it out once. First it seemed pretty empty and dangerous at the same time. Lies between law and crime inmidst of Liberty. Not cool, but i'll give it a shot. Activities will be measured and calculated. After experience we shall see, if it earns a 'legendary' status for us. There is a Freeport and quick access to some indipendent systems, if you take a risk crossing pirat territory. I'll contact the Tengai once we're there and meet with all the crew we found and 'gathered' together. We don't know most of the people, since we recruited them over distant contact. So yeah, i'm very excited to meet them in person and of course checkin what has become of the project. -Files added- + A closer look at Senonches and Favril. + Bubbles found in, i believe it was, Lorraine. No firm consistency within the cloud. Oxygen makes them go boom (in a cute way). + Vegreville. An small planetoid in Alberta. + Freeport 14 in Yukon. + Checking radiation level of Planet Mindanao. No problem if you have protective plating. + Testflight for the Tengai with some elected human personal visiting Tremont, Lansdale, California Minor, and the blue pearl Malakka. + Asteroid fields in Tau 42 are too dense for the Shukensha most of the time. Showing guests the Omega systems could be a slight problem. Maybe we can organize passenger shuttles for asteroid fields like these in the near future. We'll see. -Private data attached- * Sun in Omega-3. A relative young star. (Ah, to be a young star again.) And it is now in lovely relationship with this little Asteroid. May they have a prosperous future. * What will the Sprague think of all of this? Is that planet ready for that upcoming relationship? * I think these things are all a little too close for humans sake. *A wild drawing appears* As you can see, i've marked the Cambridge Jumphole, the Anomaly, Sprague and the Asteroid. They 'behave' in a way, i would describe as 'strange'. As in 'direct relation' to eachother. The planet, anomaly and asteroid are on the same x- and z-vector, if i'm seeing this right. Sprague has some folks trying to culivate it (again)? They'd better check for the weather in the near future. But maybe i just see that a bit too sirius and no planetary hugs will happen. * It's not like the objects are close to eachother, huh. Maybe the anomaly can differ things, but i wouldn't count on it. RE: Silmathien Jirent - Silmathien - 05-19-2013 Logfile 26 Had a dream tonight. There was a really big space station in Leeds, near the gate to Newcastle. It looked like it was built with alientech and had a kinda pyramid-liked shape, was wide on the lower section and getting more narrow the further to the top. It was round though, with lots of 'outer' little cities. When i opened the Navmap i could see some bright lines, indicating that it was under heavy fire. Gallics had brought in large parts of their fleet and were attacking it. They were doing it since hours and still the shield had not a single scratch. Meanwhile, the Bretonians were fleeing to the 'south' to hide themselfs in the Omegas, invading Corsair space. The Corsairs weren't happy, but made an non-aggression pact, trying to use the Bretonians as a shield against the Gallic Empire. And then i woke up. First impressions? I was laughing hard. Imagine; the Gallics focus all their strength to destroy that station, while Bretonia run away from an enemy not attacking them and confusing the 'sairs rushing straight into territory they can barely move through with big battleships. Haa, that was funny. On a more serious note; we sold some of our Floragro to the Council. Guess they really need it. Also nice to hear, Zoners have now hostile stations in Baffin near the Tau-29 Jumphole. Well, Baffin was mostly a system for visiting or traveling through. I don't know if this station would attacking the Silmathien, but our drones were showed off hostile, so i don't take the risk and just won't use the Tau-Liberty route. Additionally the Zoners built up a new base called Freeport 21. I'm gonna bypass Freeports for some time, since i don't know what exactly these Zoners plans are. They shut down the entrance to Baffin via Tau-29 and building a freeport next to another freeport? Maybe they have problems with space, housing all those people or wanted an additional security post, but i think some of them may have gone a little paranoiac over the last few months. I got us out of there and we made a short trip to Singapore, where we sold parts of ship hull panels, which we use to repair or just patch up ships. The Tengai flies around the less populated areas in Liberty. If people want to risk their lives, they can sign up with OS&C, we don't do lanes. The research team mentioned something about instability of some of the Prometheum in our hold, due to long term storage failing. It doesn't look like we need to rush about it, but soon enough would be good. But where do you dump used up Prometheum? Maybe the Freelancer Researchers on Heisenberg can make use of it. We'll see. |
