There was mentioned, that chars wont be wiped out. In other case, number of players will fall down more and more.

THIS is THE key piece of advice regarding darned near every ship in the game, and will help you avoid large amounts of grief.
Like those of us who had large cap armors mounted, our ships cargo bay shrank, suddenly launching with that armor caused us to get kicked for cheating....
