QCRF Responses thread. - bluntpencil2001 - 04-06-2008 ' Wrote:I know. To be fair, I don't think you guys would complain if KNF used a ZoI that was effectively a mirror image of your own. QCRF Responses thread. - ioha - 04-06-2008 This still leaves the question about the Edinburgh gap. Instead of Edinburgh, Dublin should be excluded, because of the Molly independence regulation. As well, Omega 47 is not that necessary, I think. I have yet to see an assault against the Corsairs coming from the QCRF (since, understandably, they are quite occupied with Kusari...) and don't think one will be necessary in the (near) future. QCRF Responses thread. - Unseelie - 04-06-2008 We want to, though...we want to have assaults by the Corsairs. And on the corsairs. We don't head to gamma, though, so we're waiting for Corsairs to show up in 5 or 47 or 49 or 3 And I wouldn't mind at all if the KNF were to raid us straight through to cambridge... I'll ask Von to change the ZOI map, as well. QCRF Responses thread. - ioha - 04-06-2008 Well, if you think that assaults on the Corsairs are necessary, then so be it. You're the Queen after all (I mean... RPwise.). I always thought of Bretonia as a nation that is rather defensive, thus fending off the Corsairs but not actively attacking them (contrary to the Outcasts and the Hessians). Otherwise, the post looks flawless to me. Just one thing: Quote:Carina, Regina, Imperitrix! should say "Imperatrix" I think, though my Latin is quite rusty. QCRF Responses thread. - mjolnir - 04-06-2008 Note that is was my fault for miss-identifying the system.. the gapping hole (in both areas) is Chester.... but it means that QCO can go to Omega 47 and can't go to Chester now :P QCRF Responses thread. - Unseelie - 04-06-2008 I'm having changes applied to the map. I do not feel its responsible to remove 50, because it is a solid route to 49, but I will remove 52, because we've really no business there...unless the SCRA looks forward to an occasional raid? QCRF Responses thread. - sovereign - 04-07-2008 ' Wrote:I am not a big fan of the Bertonian Navy "pirating" traders that run between Kusari and Bertonia. I would suggest having 2 seperate groups but that has not worked before. I just don't like "official" government people pirating. Can it lead to some good RP? most defiantly, but...i don't know...maybe if I have something more constructive to post here I'll post again, for now, please note this and let me think. As I recall, QCP sends a few Percherons with their groups when possible to grab cargo- its the nastiest to traders OoRP, and in RP siphons funds from Kusari to Bretonia. I think it's pretty cool, and really can't see anything wrong with it. Good job Unselie! Good job Unselie!Unless strategy has changed, they mostly extort cash from them, unless they are carrying products with a military purpose, when they will have the option to drop everything or cart it all back to Bretonia with an armed escort. QCRF Responses thread. - marauder - 04-07-2008 ' Wrote:We don't head to gamma, though, so we're waiting for Corsairs to show up in 5 or 47 or 49 or 3 I've underlined the systems I personally don't think any bretonian lawful (including traders) should go into. Reasoning is thus:- 1) the brets don't know about omega-49. 2) quickest way to omega-47 is through a system the brets don't know of, the other way is right past a corsair base, one thats been dealing with hessian attacks for decades. 3) omega 5 has a corsair base within 20k of the jumphole to cambridge, it's full of rocks. So not only are the bretonian pilots not trained to fly within roid fields (to be honest only those in manchester or the taus have any reason to be trained) but the corsairs consider it their home turf and are going to be able to use those rocks to their advantage. As I said in the mollies thread, it's not an attempt to tell you want to do, it's just me asking why you're doing things this way. QCRF Responses thread. - Unseelie - 04-09-2008 I've long argued against anyone who claims that a system can be hidden. A guard system, possibly. But one with three major factions? Just because its a jh, doesn't mean its hidden, and it links to Bretonia through Poole as well, and if you don't think the BPA have mapped the borders, I think that's foolish. 47...I'm really not sure why its there, other than the fact that it would be a nice open area to have battles in, and nobody ever complains, and its inside the general area....I drew the line at 41, and everything on our side we're going to pop into on occasion...Corsairs to kill, you know. 5: on asteroids: The QCRF is composed of just 2 battleships, and support, swung from point to point to spearhead assaults and defense, so if they've fought in the Tau war, they've got experience in asteroids. Moreover, I'm going to argue that people know about the hole there as well, because quite simply, my trader has flown through it, and was shown the hole by an SF. Fighting in asteroids is tough, but if given the option, would you rather fight the Corsairs before they came into your homeland, and started attacking your civilians, or before? The QCRF will try its hardest to turn any corsair force back before they pass our gates. I'm going to say any BAF pilot not trained in roids has missed a major part of flightschool, and that there are asteroids in leeds, london, cambridge, and manchester, if not as thick. Generally, the QCRF is a strike force, and I would rather strike outside of my borders. Switched it to imperatix |
