I love the ships. They look great,solid,sturdy, and fast all at once. They fit as Outcast or as civ/Borderworlds. Make them Outcast would be cool. If not make them Civ/border world, and make Sabre line OC only. Both work for me.
PS. These ships look solid/tough enough that they could probable get similar stats to corsair line of Titan and so on. Then no more Outcast/corsair duels of who has the better/faster/tougher ships.

In fact their new ships added to their line are in keeping with the Corsair Ship style, these "New" Outcast ships are no where near similar to the BW line.
These ships aren't replacements for anything. Your precious Sabre stays in the mod. Now repeat these two sentences ad infinitum.

Widow, first of all, let me clear up a few things.
Sabre was and will never be Outcast property. It is just their decision to fly it instead of other civilian ships.
Also, this is not Vanilla. Sure, let's just remove all capital ships and all non-Vanilla stuff. Things change. I don't see a reason why they shouldn't.
It makes perfect sense for both Outcasts and Hessians to have their own ship line. As the time passes, new technology is invented. Sure they would try to make something better then they currently use. It's simple as that.
And last but not least, this isn't a discussion if random factions should or shouldn't have their ship lines changed. It's about Outcast snub ship line, so if you have nothing to say about it instead of crying because the faction you hate is gonna get new ships, I'd ask you to stay out and make a separate thread in the discussions subforum.

There is no point in a faction getting a new snub line and still having access to the old snub line which it is renowned for using!!!!!! So my point being if Hessians have the ODIN as their main snub they should not really have access to the Sabre even though the Sabre is their original ship they are known for flying.
Hence actions that have been using an original ship line for years like the OC or Hess with the BW Ships SHOULD NOT have another line. It makes no sense what so ever.
When I think of Outcasts the first thing that comes to Mind is the SABRE as being their defining feature not using a ship that although looks very good took two days to put together.
The Corsairs have their own shipline but that has never changed since FL was first released they have used their own ships and are renowned for the Titan. This whole situation would be analogous to the Corsairs VANILLA Shipline being replaced by something else.
The Sabre is to Outcasts what the Titan is to the Corsairs period.... and to try and change that is Stupid.
Maybe next you might want to replace the RM Shipline with something new just coz you like the look of it???
Thats the problem here ppl see new shiny ships and they are like *_* ooooo I wants without thinking what would happen to the Lore if that became the new line. Something like the Sabre to the Outcasts is so fundemental to identity of Freelancer as whole thatr it cannot be changed.
Im sorry Massdriver as good as your ships are, as a replacement for the Sabre as Outcasts main ship Its a NO FROM ME
it's only about general question: how far mod can differ from the original game?
if you love vanilla FL gameplay, story and ships, it's your way. but it's also means staying on same place while others move farther.

If I hated the Outcasts then I wouldnt give a ****e what ship they got whether old or new, I like the outcasts coz they use the Sabre its what defines them and the Hessians.
When I first saw the Odin and was told this is their new shipline I Laughed so hard coz looking at them I had no idea it was a hessian ship something more from the Klingon Shipline came to mind when I saw the Odin.
The new sair ships are in keeping with the Sair style these ships dont look BWish so why would they be outcast ships they look more coalition than anything else, in fact the RoS Shipline is about as close to a Shipline upgrade the Outcasts could have as they look BWish. This line here dont even brush that surface so please lets not make the same mistake that was made withe the hessians line.
P.S. Please dont suggest that I have no right to post here I am posting CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM on the design of these Ships in relation to the Outcast / BW style. I am not Trolling so shut your mouth on that front

Some people no like change. I love the new hessien line. And i would love outcasts to get new ship line. Curently i fly an outcast Sabre, but am so sick of Sabres i seldom use that char. A new shipline would bring players back to the Outcasts, and the Corsairs would again get thier PvP marathons.

Whatever you say man, I have stated m,y points they are valid. At the end of the day Discovery Freelancer RP 24/7 is the last vestige of hope for the freelancer game. When disco dies freelancer dies thats it !!!
It is because of that reponsibility, Discovery owes it to freelancer to keep the Core ship lines unchanged. Or it wont be freelancer anymore, you want to upgrade the Outcasts ships make some ships that are in keeping with the Border Worlds style. Instead of trying to get every ship line under the sun ingame just cos it looks good.
