The Gallic systems are sadly probably a lost cause, but the "Gallic invasion" premise influences the RP of most factions in Sirius, but in effect it is a war carried out between NPC's to put it bluntly. I'm wondering what can be done to make this alledged war more imminent to players too? Some examples from the last week's posts on the forums (can't be bothered finding the quotes) include something along the lines of "Bretland needs OP bomber to fight the non-existant Gallic invasion" and "Bretland shouldn't be able to field as many BS's as they did against Puerta del Inferno, seeing that they are rapidly losing their forces to Gallia", and there are many more. To me these situations are total buzzkillers.
When server gameplay doesn't dictate the overarching story line, structures should be put into place to promote players to follow the lead put forth by the story line, otherwise it won't work, and we'll end with two different games in essence, one that is played and one that is written.
Or am I worrying too much, and should I just go back to giving up on Gallia and the story line?
I can understand a point you made there. About what players should be able to field against eachother. To be honest it should be what ever you want. Why I say that. Because technically Rehinland shouldn't be bringing so much stuff in to Liberty, because their economy cannot support it. But players still do it and no one moans about it. Because its a game.
Only players who I have seen complaining about what should be brought to fights bewteen GRN and BAF is only from one side. I know which side that is, and many of you know which that is. Seriously they shouldn't be, it's just a game, not everything can be peter perfect.

Well i had similar idea as leonidos, since bouth sides are having same enemies and holding grudge against rest of Sirius, meaning Corsairs and Gauls. The is a bit of problem regarding ID issue Corsairs=Pirates (wrong asmuption but somewhat jusitfied) and Kingdom of Gallia=imperialist (lawful factiones under that banner). Maybe not alliance but Understanding as to set up interest zones for witch faction is fighting for, trade agreaments etc and if Dev's allow full aliance. Im for it but well see how situation develops. On side note i see Council members all over Sirius exept in Gallia (their home front) and litle or none at all Galic Police and Navy guys, only IDF traders in and out of kusari space. Im in Leeds nonstop but aside of bothering NPC-s there is no Gallus in there to terorise Bretonians and rest of us honest folk. Its kinda sad actualy i even beared in mind idea of joining/making Gallic char. Two obstacles for that idea:1.language (hispano is so easy to me but French is acward-this is my pearsonal expiriance i am insulting-) 2. Big Gallia and almoust empty no RP oporthunities much there.
All in all i dont think such alliance will exist, i only fancy idea (i would make Gallic char if that happens), but it will be great to organise full scale (unholly?)allied invasion on Leeds and Cambridge, to see how Brets will response. Ah fantasies...

It really has nothing to do with the diplomacy, which is interesting, it's just too far away/big, that's the problem which needs to be fixed.

Seriously, if you like gallia and want to see things, join a gallic faction. I find it dissappointing that not many players want to play a Gallic Junker, let alone join [GSC]. And I am sure that Jeremy would say the same thing about GRN| in a few respects.
Best way to save gallia is by joining a gallic faction, instead of sitting on the sidelines.

True. But Gallia just plays such a big role for the script in Disco, where Rheinland-Liberty played a big role in Vanilla. On that note I think the Gallic problem needs special attention perhaps?
I also agree that a lot of us lack the cultural knowledge to be comfortable with both Kusari and Gallia RP, whereas Bretonia, Liberty and Rheinland are easier to approach. But if this is the case, perhaps that can be circumvented by having an allied faction that could work as a "gateway" so players can get familiar with the RP the Gallic factions do?
That being said we should probably wait for the Gallic twist:-)
EDIT: Also I am not at all complaining about official faction activity, that's not the issue in my eyes, but rather that Gallia is difficult for many of us players to properly take in.
