I know that, but they were origonally built by the Hackers, they just opened them up so all their friends could use em too, which I think is great, and EXACTLY the sort of thing we need to do with new ships we add; give them a backstory with a faction, but dont restrict them to it. I even made a topic about it. Im very proud of the hackers for doing that kudos to them.

' Wrote:Liberty Rogue Gunboat: Cerberus (Two-headed dog from greek mythology, fits with the dog/wolf names as bigger and scarier than their fighters) Yes I know there are weapons named Cerberus. There are CLAYMORE codenames, and a Claymore gunboat, too.
There is also a ship named Cerberus, the GRN LF.

Enough with the fighters, lets get back on track. Since Ive been looking at the creation process of Freelancer models, I was looking at the Battleship folder of the "SHIPS" folder. Appearently, the original ship class name was to be "Providence" for the Liberty Carrier. Wasn't expecting that.:P

Oh right it's the caracal, oh well GRNoone uses it anyway.

Can we get back on track? This is a thread for constructive ideas, no need to spend pages arguing.

Kudos to Hone for giving the Stingray idea for the Bounty Hunter Bomber. This is the first name for me to accept from the community in this thread.

Kudos to Hone again for giving kudos to lane hackers for sharing ships and kudos with freelancers.

Kudos to Puv for realizing the mistake and fixing it instead of arguing.

Aw thanks, what did you think of my other suggestions?

If sirius science has found that the carrier was meant to be called "Providence" then we might as well use that, and as for the Lib Dread, Im not sure why you didnt think that should have it own name, so I suggest "Giant" as in the famous "Sleeping Giant" quote.

Your other suggestions weren't as good. That's okay, though, not everybody has a solution to everything. You've already helped name the only un-named bomber in the mod, and that's great. I've also added "Providence" for the Liberty Carrier, as many people have seen that this was already meant to be its name.

"Giant" won't be very fitting for the Liberty Dreadnought, as it's actually one of the smaller battleships. Besides, that wouldn't really fit Liberty so much. But, you're right, the Dreadnought could stand to have its own name, so I added it to the list of wanted names.

I have a few names in mind for the Dreadnaught:

Grant (Ulysses S. Grant )
Ike (EISENHOWER)
Anderson (William Anderson(Canadian))
Desmond (Desmond Smith(Canadian))

Thats all I got for Dreadnaught names.
