Since the .86 version was implemented, Dragons had refused government's and by extension Kishiro's offer to cease fighting, thus throwing the KNF against them as it's been happening ever since this mod was out, ye? Perhaps the GMG withdraw their support after seeing the current government succeed in taking a position closer to their own, which in turn leads the Dragons to pirate much more in order to keep at its current level? I dunno, just thinking here. Now what? Simple. The Kishiro-backed government has proven to be even worse than the previous Samura-controlled one. So Dragons will be fighting them instead now. Disregarding lore for a second, Ryummel, you paint the BD as a faction that have one purpose only: Pewing KNF and KSP. Since those factions have only a marginal membership due to the fact that Kusari doesn't have a house-versus-house conflict, BDs themselves would suffer from a lack of activity. It's funny how you yourself point out the exact issue here, and yet take it as a fact, not an issue. That's the problem: Isolating KNF and KSP inside Kusari, while they had been lacking activity even when they could raid Leeds, and also refused to fight the ]bd[ for reasons not really relevant to our subject here, and expecting both the factions survive with nothing to do but shooting each other. Yes, the Dragons are there to shoot the lawful bunch, and it's nothing strange or new, as a lot of other factions out there follow a similar goal. What would make this faction (And every other faction within the house, for that matter) more enjoyable to play would be bringing a new line of conflicts to the house, and not by adding a battlefield 4 systems away, but turning the house itself into a battleground. With the masterwork of devs when it comes to GRN-KNF NAP, best option now would be draggin the Exiles inside Kusari. Move them out of Bretonia entirely, as they have nothing to do there except what already can be done by BAF, and move their battleships to western edge of Kusari, so they can fight GRN and try pushing into Kusari at the same time. This way, if Samura decide to back the Exiles, publicly or not, and if the Hogosha and Farmers start supporting the Exiles as well, you can toss in the GMG publicly supporting the Kishiro-backed government if you want, and the Dragons would find themselves in the middle of a bloody civil war, neutral to neither side. And I agree with Ktayn. If the BD and GMG stop their under-the-table relations, it'd also give the BD an actual piracy ground even though that's not their main purpose. RE: Is it true the blood dragons wont change at all even in the next mod update? - Ursus - 11-16-2012 Hokkaido will be the connecting point to Gallia? Turn it into a 3-way battleground. BD/GC on the western side, Exiles operating from Rishiri and protecting the eastern side, while KNF/KSP control the lanes and gates. This solves a lot of problems all at once actually. It moves the Exiles out of Bretonia, it gives Rishiri a purpose, it fits the lore of Samura supporting the Exiles, and it creates multi-party activity for Kusari. So yeah it'll never happen RE: Is it true the blood dragons wont change at all even in the next mod update? - AeternusDoleo - 11-19-2012 Hmm... one thought, the main trade artery to Gallia from Kusari runs right through their turf in Hokkaido and Rishiri. Should the BD take a strong anti-Gallic stance, that'd give them a purpose in shifting their focus northward, deeper into the Crow where the Kusari lawfuls can't fight them effectively. I'll have to get with Friday on that one. RE: Is it true the blood dragons wont change at all even in the next mod update? - Hidamari - 11-19-2012 do not make any other factions dependent on that waste of space house please. it is a waste of everyones time including your own. If A 3-way regional fight like this happened, it would probably spur me into making a kusari character so i could take part. So the chance of big battles could bring good activity back to kusari. But thats just my opinion RE: Is it true the blood dragons wont change at all even in the next mod update? - AeternusDoleo - 11-19-2012 (11-19-2012, 11:21 AM)Hidamari Wrote: do not make any other factions dependent on that waste of space house please. it is a waste of everyones time including your own.Know what the real waste of time is? - More ships then the server can support players - and people STILL ask for more. - Houses with multiple factions filling the same role (Bretonia: Gateway/Bowex, Rheinland: Daumann/Kruger) - Factions which frankly don't serve a purpose anymore. (All police factions, superceded by their respective navies) - Factions that frankly have no purpose being player flyable (Ageira, Planeform, Cryer, Interspace). House haulers fill that role. - Factions that have drifted so far from their roots that they shouldn't be calling themselves what they once were. (Zoners - The organised and capusing varieties) - Unlawful factions without a purpose (Bundshuh, LWB -> Both should just merge into the Hessians imho. BD could probably disband at this point) - Every pipsqueek of a faction wanting to be a mudderflopping superpower (HFL, Core, old CR). Learn some humility. - Folk deciding to write their own lore ideas rather then checking with storyline if it'll conflict with anything. - Folk complaining about the same thing over and over and over (Pavel, Govedo, Ursus). Personal pet peeve that - nothing annoys me more. Understand that, infocarding aside, the amount of active devs can be counted on one hand at this point. There is a limit to what can be done. For 4.88, simplification of the mod and storyline will likely become a necessity in order to keep things managable. That said, the Exiles will end up setting course for Kusari. Just not sure if it'll be in 4.87 or not. Ask Friday. I still haven't gotten an answer on where to put the Nagasaki and Satsume. It has been a consistant waste of the devs time since its very conception. rather than fixing things that obviously need fixing, you create more work for yourselves which nobody will see, care about or appreciate. and thats from my experiance of flying all around Gallia and mapping every system in role play. why do you keep doing it to yourselves I do not understand. RE: Is it true the blood dragons wont change at all even in the next mod update? - AeternusDoleo - 11-19-2012 Because in 4.83, the playerbase asked for it. Or so I'm told. I wasn't even around back then. And people get pissy when you start taking away toys, always do. As for Gallia, the current setup is bad, but salvagable. Since it's not possible to delete bases or systems physically from the mod once they are in (corrupts characters when you do it) we'll have to make due. Another reason why I don't like -more- bases, since you can never get rid of them.
