Ryoken, I understand how a base in front of a capital planet can be a source for irritation.
But the thing is that whether you feel it is InRP or OoRP is only part of the equasion, it also matters if other feel whether it is InRP or not.
The thing with this base I find most amusing is that no one has attempted any RP with that base's owners in the slightest.
Instead everything has been attempted as a rant on the forums, this will not work.
The base the way it is has it's political weaknesses to exploit, not just at the owners but more importantly the government that lets it happen.
But we must make a choice, either play with the base or not, you have stated you have calmed down and chose not to play with it, problem solved, go have fun.
Now everyone here has to make the same choice, to play or not to play.
Either way ranting on forums or suggesting admin intervention is a bit silly when this is a RP server, doesn't mean you have to like others RP, just means you have to try to RP yourself.
WHen it comes to this thread in particular, the only question is, should a base be allowed to be built in the vacinity of another structure in space.
If the answer is no, then a lot of bases will have to be remade.
If the answer is yes, then it must come down to RP actions to determine which ones are acceptable and which ones are not.

Seriously if i got a group of 5-6 traders with me, or 1 barge and jump drive, I could drop a base infront of any planet, and turret it over night in down hours. I can make it hostile to all, and then just watch the chaos. Sure it may get ganked in a day or 2, but my point is it is completely OORP, and no fracking way it should be allowed.
Now some will say you cannot do that, but i have helped with my 5Ks fully build, and turret a base in 12 hours.Sure it was not next to a base(I am not that big an A-hole) but it was doable quite easy in off hours.
Right now there is no rule to stop any player/s from building a hostile base with turrets right next to any dam thing in the game.
Just think if someone did this infront of Erie? For the next day or 2 until it is destroyed every new player in game could get raped by it, and it would not be against the rules. Then hey after it dies someone decides to be a prick, and rebuilds it again in off hours, and repeat/rinse. Sure sooner or later people would set up a bunch to watch area, but for days/weeks it could ruin peoples fun.
This is my main concern, and my question is what if anything there is to stop this now or in future? NOT A DAM THING! is what. That is why i say most bases are completely OORP. A base should take weeks/months/years to build, not over night.
Anyway you are shifting the argument away from the Hogosha base to just in general so maybe you should make a new thread. Like someone summed up kishiro should be inRP doing most of the H-3 / H-fuel hauling inside / outside of kusari (with samura providing a significant amount as well although mostly in house)

before I start I haven't done this on a personal level but you would be surprised as to what goes on in Skype when it comes to making agreements (inRP) and roleplay. Lots of major official factions do it. And maybe they dont finalize the agreement or RP on skype but the groundwork is put on there.
Regardless talking for the KSP there was / is forum RP and ingame RP reactions from what you consider(ed) skype agreements=/=roleplay.

OK just did missions for KNF, and funny thing is, they gave me missions against Hogosha. So again how is that base in RP so close to capital if KNF gives missions against. Oh and the missions i did was to blow up bases.
Also did a few for kishiro that were against Hogosha, also blow up base missions. Funny that is. But hell that base is now hostile to me for doing KNF, and Kishiro missions. Oh well, i guess i will just lob s few Cruiser missiles at the weapons platforms everytime i pass by.
If anyone claims that is OORP? well bite me since NPCs offer missions to do just that.

Last i heard you cannot FR5 your own faction players. Unless they changed that rule "yet again" I am not worried. Also you cannot get FR5'd for following vanila RP, which since i am firing on Hogosha which KNF bases give you missions to fire on, I am following vanila RP.

Per lore-play, Hogosha might actualy let their lower ranked/grunts/trouble makers to be captured by KSP/KNF so they will close eyes on rest of Hogosha activity.
I see resemblance to Junker rumors where it says that to remain in relative peace with lawfuls, they tip them some irrevelant lowlife from Rogues from time to time.

The base was originally to act as a jump trade point as part of Kusari - Rheinland - Gallia RP and was to be ran by the KSP. The Gallia base was originally outside Planet Beaune (now destroyed) Rheinland did not construct one.
Accepting that it has new owners can someone direct me to the RP so I can catch up, thank you.

Hogosha are quasi-legal. They are about as lawful as Junkers. This base makes about as much sense as a Junker base next to Manhattan shooting at their enemies.

Let's see how this goes down. Perhaps it will be the same as the Mollie base and you will have to pay the Hogosha players to trade with Kusari. Sounds about right.

LOL i read the link. And as expected they are going to RP ignorance no matter what you RP. Why? Because no matter what they will not remove that base, or its turrets as it takes away the fun they have power gaming, and enjoying others grief. It has become the Disco way.
If you speak out they just say their RP is just not your RP. It is the same excuse i have heard for 6+ years now. Who ever has more "friends" is considered the players with the better RP.
But i will watch and see what happens, though i expect little. My KNF will maybe start taking pics of the base firing on traders, and pics of it firing on my KNF(although i am sure they do not care) they will use excuse "you must have fired on the base"

You fail to realise that most, if not all 'roleplay' on Discovery is typically discussed on PM's, Skype or Steam, whatever your favourite platform is. :>>>
