Lt. Golanski reports.

Today wing which I was part of, received information about freelancer operating in Omicron Minor. We found him, flying stolen Nephtys fighter. We were pursuing him, ordering him to cut his engines. He didn't listened so we decided to open fire. Encounter was in Omicron Delta, we succesfuly destroyed vessel, proving that no one can obtain our technology and avoid really serious consequences. Later we formed recon wing, and proceeded to Sigmas, where we obtained some supplies, in meanwhile I checked edge of Outcast space, nebula which consist Omicron Beta jump hole. Nothing worth of interest founded. Uploading guncams:

Report --26.06.818--

This day was rather nice and calm. The routine patroles haven't met anything
significant exept a BHG ship trying to run into Alaska. It was sucessfully
destroyed by Secondary Fleet agent McTavish.

The second encounter was not so pleasant because we have intercepted two artifact smugglers
who also tryed to jump to Liberty space, but the problem was that they were escorted
by an Order cruiser. After a small investigation we know that the Cruiser's commander was
paid by them for an escort. The required arrangements were made.

Report --27,28.06.818--

For the last two days i was noticing a bit more nomad activity and Liberty Security Force
uselessness. First I was reported of a nomad in New Berlin system. I have contacted
Military, but got no answer and decided to perform actions under my resposibility.

I followed the morph to the Liberty space and then located it near the Badlands in New York.
It has frightened a few civilians and then followed me. Seems it was lost and wanted home.
Anyway i checked that it has reached Minor and returned on duty.

The second nomad was quiet special as he suicidally ran into Planet Manhattan's atmosphere.
I have never seen suicidal morphs before.

Both times i got no respond from LSF agents that i've tried to contact. Both time no help from
them when we're taking care of thoose things in their capital system.

Today's patrol was nothing much more than an average day. My patrol began in Omicron Minor and ended in Omicron Delta.

Omicron Minor was quiet with no problems. This somewhat disturbed me, but it was a good thing I suppose.
Omicron Minor Patrol

After finding nothing in Omicron Minor, I proceeded to the Omicron Delta Jump Hole. After I had exited the Jump Hole, there was something strange however. There was an Outcast in an unidentifiable ship. It ignored me and was out of range to stop. I attempted to call for assistance, but no one responded. The Outcast had exceeded my radar range so I continued on with my patrol.
Omicron Delta - Omicron Minor Jump Hole

I proceeded to Freeport XI. There was nothing to report.

I proceeded to Yaren Base. On my way an unidentifiable vessel came on radar, but before I could get in range of the vessel it fell off radar.
Omicron Delta - Unidentified Vessel Incident

I continued to Yaren Base. As Freeport XI there was nothing to report.

Greetings, this is a message transmitted directly to the Primary Fleet High Command.

Although I'm glad to work in the Military Branch of this organization, I'm sure I could help the Order in another way.
I've found a research draft which was abandoned few years ago [Creation of Nomad-based-tech cruise engines]
I guess that if I finish it, the Order could count with another asset to deal with both the Guild and the K'Hara.

So, I'm requesting permission to operate through Liberty, Bretonia and Rheinland without any restrictions,
I mean, I don't want any Corporal or Sergeant asking me what I'm doing in the places where I'm doing my researchs.
Obviously, I already know the highest priority: Stealth.
Don't compare me with those ones who went out of control and tried to bomb Manhattan, here we are professionals.

In case you accept this request, I may ask you about our allies in these territories.
Rheinland? Did we deal with the Bundschuh? Are we allowed to dock in their bases?
What about Bretonia?
I already know Liberty is 'No Man's Land', so, I'll take care.

Ewing, out.

Today's patrol was one worth mentioning. I was not alone this time, I was accompanied by Ensign Azure Kite on this patrol.
We patrolled Omicron Minor, finding nothing. We proceeded to Omicron Delta and headed to Freeport XI. On our way there a Zoner was being attacked by a couple of nomads. We of coarse dealt with them. On arrival to Freeport XI, there were several Bounty Hunters including a Battlecruiser. Knowing that we were out-gunned, we had to resort to remaining in the NFZ. The Bounty Hunters did the same. The Bounty Hunters were Veruza.Wing, SR2-Viktoria, and SR2-NORMANDY if I forgot to mention.
Omicron Delta - Veruza.Wing
Omicron Delta - SR2-Viktoria/SR2-NORMANDY

We had realized that SR2-Viktoria was carrying a Minor Nomad Brain and a Nomad. Of coarse, I requested them to be dropped.
Omicron Delta - Viktoria Cargo Scan

The battlecruiser had moored with Freeport XI. SR2-Viktoria refused to drop them because they were going to be researched by them. Viktoria also claimed that they had found a destroyed OCV with notes about nomad technology. After a somewhat lengthy argument, I had convinced the Bounty Hunter to drop the Nomad and Minor Nomad Brain.
Omicron Delta - Log

Mr. Kite and I tractored in the specimens and proceeded to Battleship Isis, where we had dropped off the specimens.

Even the Bounty Hunters can be reasoned with. Not bad for a couple of Ensigns, not all of us are "trigger happy".

Report --29.06.818--

Me and ensign Elena Campillo were performing some training in Omicron-100 and have been
contacted by agent Fallon Petraeus who was following a couple of nomads in Omicron Kappa.
We broke up the traning and set the course to Delta where we supposed to intercept them.
When we had arrived at Kappa jumphole the nomads were still in the Kappa close to planet
Gammu so we decided to stop them right there.

Thoose nomads were not so friendly, so we had a long fight without significant results:
none of our ships were damaged and none of nomads were seriously injured. Then
the nomad gunboat has appeared in our radar range and i have ordered the wing to jump to Omicron-74.

Then we took a way back via Sigmas and Tohoku. Noone got hurt, no ships were damaged. That's the good result.

Report --01.07.818--

The only noticable thing that happened today was a Corsair gunboat in Omicron-100.
It has agreed to leave the system and drop all the nomad materials. So there is nothing to
add exepting some visuals.

Report --02.07.818--

Few time ago i got some information about two places in Newcastle that may
be interesting for us. I had no data on them, only the coordinates, but that was enought.
I had added waypoints to coordinaters B7 and G7 into my system map and started the
mission. I have taken the route via Rheinland. There were nothing to notice as usual,
only groups of Wild in New Berline became even more annoying, not dangerous.

First of all, Newcastle, B7 - it was nice but not interesting. Just a part of a very old minefield.
Seems it is even ancient, but still there was nothing to talk about.

The next waypoint - Newcastle, G7. This place is the debris field that appeared as the result of
Yorkshire station destruction. But it was a good field, because i've dicovered there a few weapon
platforms which my computer identified as "nomad". I don't know why do they have that pattern,
as they look like regular platforms and shoot like regular platforms. Even after the identification
system restart they are "nomad".

I would like also to request some data about zoners' artifact researches since they posess
a great amount of rare material and classified data on them.

Subject: Nomad activity in the Chester system

Greetings.

I recently recieved word from a contact in the Mollys about 'ghosts' being spotted around the Dublin system. Although this particular contact does not believe in Nomads (although why he finds ghosts to be more believable is a mystery to me) his description of the 'ghosts' matched those of Nomad vessels and I decided to gather a team to investigate.

Lt. Golanski, Ensign Night and myself set out to Dublin through the Omega systems with our journey going without incident. Once we arrived in Dublin we set up our base of operations on the IMG freeport Battleship Hood. Aboard the Hood rumours persisted of ghosts appearing from the nearby Chester system. Before we moved out to Chester however we did I quick sweep of Dublin in an attempt to find witnesses who could confirm the presence of Nomads. This turned up no results so we jumped to Chester.

Upon entering Chester we split up to search the desolate system. I decided to search the dense particle cloud that forms one of the few landmarks of the system. Upon entering it quickly became clear that searching would be very difficult as visibility in the cloud was almost zero. Suddenly however I was attcked by four Nomad vessels. After dispatching them and several other groups with the assistance of Golanski and Night, we came across the source of these Nomads.

It seems that Chester is home to a Nomad lair. Although it is difficult to make a comparison I would hazard a guess that this example is even larger than the inactive lair in Omicron 92. Something will definately have to be done to prevent this lair from becoming a threat.

Attatched are further guncams of the Nomad lair.

Subject: Stolen Order vessel

While on routine patrols around Omicron Minor we encountered a freelancer who appeared to have stolen one of our Nephthys fighters.

Dotty flew to Omircon Delta while being persued by several Order vessels demanding that he stop and return the craft. Once he reached Delta we decided he had gone far enough and destroyed the vessel.

Given that this is not the first time an incident like this has taken place I recommend that we look more closely at security in our hangars. Its a small miracle the freelancer was able to enter the system in the first place but how he was able to steal the fighter needs to be investigated. Especially so since the theif was very clearly suffering from a severe case of Lawl's syndrome.

Subject: Capture of live Nomad samples

While investigating reports of several Nomad morphs in Omicron 100 myself and Ensign Night came across as very odd sight. The Nomads appeared to be sunbathing in the outer corona of the systems star. I have obseved similar behavior in young Nomads on several other occasions but this presented a unique opportunity to study them more closely. As the OSD are no doubt aware, young Nomads require heat and light in some way to grow or survive. What we noticed however was that the Nomads became increadibly docile while they were taking in energy in this way.

We quickly came up with a plan to capture the Nomads for the OSD. Using the DEFILER weapons system on my vessel we stunned all three Nomads and used our tractor beams to tow them to Evora shipyard one by one where they were incarcerated in a research module for study.

Apart from the capture of live Nomad samples, this incident gave me some insight into the possible applications of the DEFILER weapons system. Although the docile state of these Nomads may have made them vunerable to the weapon, the possibility of developing a weapon that can stun Nomads for capture is something I don't think we can ignore. I will be contacting the OSD to look into further research on this subject in the near future.
