SCRA Faction Feedback - Tabris - 09-08-2010 ' Wrote:Reference posts 1046-1055 of the Coalition Recruitment Thread. Recruitment's being closed VERY soon since all our slots are now filled, so I've been charged by Alvin to cleanse it of remaining people not already taken. It's just bad timing on your part mate. And a bulk of our focus is in Rheinland since that is where the Revolution will most likely begin on a wide-scale. For other places we spread the seeds of discord and aid allied forces against hostile threats like the Nomads, House Police/Military/BHG and various other reasons of RP nature. The sad part is that OOCly we know we'll never achieve our goals, but it's fun trying. SCRA Faction Feedback - cmfalconer - 09-08-2010 If you don't mind Tabby, I'll throw my nickel's worth into here. ' Wrote:I do have 1 question... SCRA's Zone of Influence is Omega 52, and the surrounding Omegas. SCRA's Zone of Action, however, is Sirius as a whole. Because the mission of the Coalition is to "conquer" the whole of the sector through popular revolt, the military arm, the SCRA, initiates a guerrilla war throughout all of Sirius. We do have areas we focus on, however, and they vary from time to time. Mostly we focus on Rheinland, where we have many allies in the Rheinland Revolutionary Alliance. We also focus time in the Omicrons to assist the Order, though mainly that was originally an alliance-of-convenience against the Nomads and Wilde, it has grown into a very strong two-way street. We have been known to focus for times on each House individually, as well as Corsairs and Outcasts. It's a matter of how we choose to perpetrate our war. ' Wrote:Reference posts 1046-1055 of the Coalition Recruitment Thread. Sorry Tom, but this is unfortunately a (huge) drawback to our current recruitment system. I'm personally not a huge fan of it and am in favor of a different, more streamlined approach, but seeing as I am a)absent w/o notice many times and b) not the head of the organization, I don't have much say in how it's done. The way we do it now relies not only on our side being prompt, but the other forum dwellers being prompt as well...it tells a story. And with so many wanting to be a part of the story, sometimes it gets mucked up. All I can say at the moment is sorry and to try again next cycle. ' Wrote:Forgive me intruding, but... Hi Karlotta. See above on how it is OUR CHOICE on how WE want to perpetrate OUR WAR. I'm tempted just to block out your post, but I'll give it attention instead. Each of the four you described above go about their wars differently. SCRA through populist sentiments and propaganda, Phantoms through terrorism and fear, Nomads through subterfuge and infiltration, and the Order...well, the Order doesn't really belong on that list, and I will not debate that here. As stated above, we do focus on one area from time to time. Ontario, for instance, is actually, in RP, Coalition-led thanks to elections "held" in RP. The Governor of that system is a Coalitioner because of the stories of Katz and the presence of the Coalition in that system for extended periods. There are other places where the Coalition has focused energies from time to time, with varying results. The "problem" with trying to take over all of Sirius is that you have to be everywhere at once. While in RP that's possible with small cells operating on every planet and such, in the real world there are only 200 player slots, and we as players have to pick and choose where we as characters will interact. If that means it appears that we're "gallivanting around Sirius enjoying our status", then so be it. We know what we're about. Back @ Gafwmn: I hope this has also assuaged your misgivings as to the "we can go anywhere" gang thing. We're not here to put forward some Sirius-wide jackassery (except for the Blue Trolls, which is being worked on (see above)), but it is technically, and rightly so, part of our role play. -c SCRA Faction Feedback - arvg - 09-09-2010 Perfect, thanks Chris, sums up things nicely and sets things out clearly. Now I wold love to hear some feedback/suggestions from people on the propaganda front. SCRA Faction Feedback - Politus - 09-09-2010 More decent propaganda on the forums. I've not seen much in the way of trying to influence folks aside from the recent "Corsairs are lying, we're not homos no matter what they say" thread. If you're going to espouse propaganda as a tool, then use it on the forums more often.:P I could be missing the threads, but it seems like that aspect is a bit absent, forum-wise at least. :s SCRA Faction Feedback - Elven - 09-09-2010 Riiight... Also I heard you guys want to get some diplomacy in Kusari, please note Blood Dragons aren't good choice for it.;) Consider FA, GC in Kusari and perhaps Colonial Remnant in Taus as possible targets for propaganda. And keep your relations with Mollys. SCRA Faction Feedback - Turkish - 09-09-2010 FA? Pawns of the government bro. GC? Possible I'd say. CR? Maybe, who knows. SCRA Faction Feedback - Zelot - 09-09-2010 ' Wrote:FA? Pawns of the government bro. Actually the FA is probably your best bet in Kusari, they are the only thing close to a workers rights movement, and as we move into 486 they move further from the new Kishiro backed government. SCRA Faction Feedback - Elven - 09-09-2010 ' Wrote:FA? Pawns of the government bro.Uh. No. At least publically they're not. And many of them shouldn't mind ideas of SCRA. SCRA Faction Feedback - Turkish - 09-09-2010 While I realise they are the closest thing to a worker's rights movement right now they still hold substantial ties to the current government, and through that capitalism. I'm not the final say though, the FA is a distinct possibility, the higher ups will probably take all of this into consideration. Just bear in mind we're hesitant to form bonds with groups who share ties to what we consider to be the enemy. Edit: True enough Elvin, but it's really a matter of whether we want to associate with them, not whether they want to associate with us. Just to say this again, I don't have the final say on anything. So don't think my discouragements mean your suggestions wont happen, anything is possible.:) SCRA Faction Feedback - BaconSoda - 09-12-2010 Hi. We just had an encounter with you guys, and we feel it was a totally fun encounter, which was fun RP on both sides. What I'm curious about is the IMG relations. We chased a gunboat there, which was good fun, like I said, but why isn't the IMG hostile to you? I heard in the call that you were forbidden to dock on IMG bases, but the IMG is a purely capitalistic faction, so wouldn't it make a bit of sense to be hostile? Thanks for any reply. :) |
