Sender ID: Lt. Lillian Olson Good evening, To begin with, I am pleased to inform the Admiralty that the Savannah is once again at full operational capacity after replacement and rewiring of the faulty Engine Four, the last of the damage from our insurgent run and subsequent heavy mortar strike a week ago. While the Archer-class is a venerable design predating even the Nomad war, the age does indeed show. The repairs of the Savannah were somewhat slowed by damage to a variety of circuitry and power conduits that could perhaps be replaced with newer, more durable, more modular components. This aside, however, we broke off our reserve duty in Vespucci due to a report across the Neural Net from the 46th's newest dreadnought, the Vermont, that a Zoner Nephilim was in the process of breaching the restricted zone in Virginia. We made best speed through Kansas to Texas, however the Zoner briefly threw us off as it appeared originally to head towards Alaska. As we redirected to the New York system to cut it off, it swerved back again to stay within Virginia, costing us valuable interception time as we once again had to set course for the Vespucci jumpgate. Nonetheless, we utilised the trade lanes at the Vermont's suggestion to catch up to the great Zoner capital ship, whereupon we proceeded to provide cruise disruptor support, stopping the Zoner in his tracks. I attempted to hail the ship in an attempt to ensure it knew where it was and what it was doing, however we received only patchy communications in return as it attempted to open up private channels. After this failure, we joined in the precedent already set by the Vermont, and fired a full salvo from our forward gun, rendering the Zoner capital ship inoperable through the combined weight of fire of the Star Lance as well as the Vermont's sledges. It is regrettable that this was the conclusion reached, and I would have preferred longer to attempt to establish communications, however the fact that the Zoner saw fit to flee as well as made next to no effort to inform us of its intentions made this result inevitable. It was, at least, a chance to test how our newly replaced power core and capacitors held under heavy load, and I am proud to say that Savannah is functioning better than ever. I will round off my report with one other concerning occurrence. Later, at approximately 19:40 Universal Standard Time, a fleet of cruiser-class and battlecruiser-class vessels in Outcast livery approached Planet Manhattan, engaging with capital vessels held in reserve from the Vespucci front. The outcasts approached with relative secrecy. It is possible that they used a Mk IV Jump Drive to achieve such a feat. The lack of any battleship or dreadnought class vessels suggests to me that this was a force intended to skirmish with our weakened defences in the core of Liberty while otherwise engaged in Vespucci. Working off of this theory, it is my recommendation that we should reshuffle our forces, especially in the wake of the insurgency gradually being whittled down, to hold at least a full battlegroup as a quick response group in the case of any incursion by Outcast or any other forces seeking to capitalise on our apparent "weakness" or even to further reinforce Vespucci should it truly prove necessary. At least with such a battlegroup based out out of Norfolk or, less likely, Juneau, we would be better able to rapidly respond to threats in the core of Liberty far faster than drawing forces directly from Vespucci. I would wholeheartedly volunteer the Savannah and her crew to take part in this assignment, however our deployment is of course ultimately up to you to decide, Admirals. With respect, Lt. Lillian Olson, signing off. ![]() - Lillian Olson Lieutenant, Junior Grade Liberty Navy 46th Fleet RE: Liberty Navy 46th Fleet Mission Debrief Report - Kalhmera - 06-22-2022 ![]() Incoming Transmission ![]() Liberty Navy 46th Fleet Security Clearance: < GRANTED >
Sender ID: Captain Alice Shepard Good evening members of the Command Staff, After reaching Omicron Nu I was right about to begin planning patrol routes when a hostile contact on radar was spotted 15K due north east of the Super Gate. As the target approached we were able to get accurate scans which will be provided below. It was a Zoner Carrier Aquilon and they identified themselves as Absalom Captained by Eric. They wanted to know what we were doing and they had seen other Navy in the system but never a Liberty Dreadnought. Eric stated he and his ship was in Omicron Nu to protect the interests of the Outworlder Assembly. From my perspective I think he was trying to intimidate me but once you stare down a horde of Gallic Royal Navy nothing really phases you anymore. Anyways we chatted for a time and Eric slowly impulsed away from the Super Gate. Eric was also very interested in our mission and without relaying to much information I informed him that we are mainly here to protect the super gate and set up a patrol path to warn us of any unpleasant surprises. He also discussed his disgust for all houses as he put it. He believes governments like the republic are corrupt and send people to die for their own gains. Honestly Eric sounds just like those weird types of people on the neural net, claiming everyone and everything is out to get him. In my opinion this new wave of militant style Zoners (Outworlder Assembly) are nothing but an over zealous group trying to come off as strong and intimidating but should they cross the Republic or make any negative advances they will crumble. I will report back should anything else further develop, I will be setting up a patrol route for our fighters centered around the location of the Vermont and the Super Gate. While this first encounter seemed peaceful I did sense a lot of animosity and I dont doubt their return, I request an Archer Class Cruiser, and two Defiant Class gunboats as an added escort to the Vermont. Sender ID: Captain Alice Shepard Good evening members of the Command Staff, Although I am dispatched to the Omicron Nu System, I received a distress call from Fort Bush that a Rogue Destroyer was wreaking havoc among our citizens, I spooled our Jump Drive and was able to jump relatively close to the area. I asked the rogue to surrender but as usual they always go down fighting, a trait I can admire, nothing else though. Needless to say while valiant the Rogue fell and we received little damage, we have since returned to Nu with no Issues. Sender ID: Lieutenant Alexander Dallas Good evening, As the High Command know, nowadays we see rise in criminal activity right in the heart of Liberty space, New York system. But this day showed, that we really underestimated their will to bring more and more contraband into Liberty. Beside the fact, that enormous amount of enemy vessels trying to land on a capital planet to transport our captured VIP from Manhattan and support local criminal groups with contraband, we had several invasions of corsairs and outcasts battleships into the system. I'm proud to report, that Liberty combined fleet of Liberty Security Force, 46th Secondary fleet and Marshal service defended our home from this criminals, destroyed invaded battleships and their smuggling freighters and didn't lost any Liberty ship in this encounter. This was not an easy fight, but we again proofed, that Liberty has the most skilled and loyal officers, who willing to gave everything for protection of our Republic and it's citizens. I'm pretty sure, that we will have challenges like this in the future, but looking at today fight, I'm confident, that Liberty will prevail and our way of life will be secured. Sender ID: Captain Alice Shepard Good evening members of the Command Staff, New York today has been a hot spot for the criminal underworld and I am pleased to announce that efforts to repel the undesirables have been a success. With elements from the Liberty Marshals, The Secondary Navy Fleet, =LSF=, 5th, LPI- and our very own 46th| our losses are minimal in comparison to our enemies. We continue to hold the line and will do so until such a time comes when the enemy looses steam. Sender ID: Ensign Monty Bartlett Good day, I'd like to apologize for the delay in sending out my report. Due to the recent uptick in criminal activity in New York I was spending a lot more time out in my Defender. Every time I would return to base and begin to write an after action report, the alerts would go off here at Salt Lake and we'd be ordered to scramble and launch again. Fortunately it seems that things have finally began to quiet down and I can now get this report off my desk. Firstly, I'm happy to report that despite the hectic schedule we've had lately, I've been adjusting well to my assignment here in the 46th. I surely enjoy it more then the classrooms, lectures, and drills of the academy. I've also been able to acquaint myself with many of the other pilots and my superiors here in the 46th Fleet and participate in operations with them. I was surprised to find most of my superior officers were took an active role in our patrols. I've been used the leadership style of many of the instructors of the academy who prefer to 'lead from the back' so to speak, so the leadership of 46th is a welcome change of pace. I'm also grateful that my superiors have been quiet approachable and have thoughtful offered advice and counsel to me to improve my capabilities. Now that things have finally calmed down here in New York, and I've finally gotten through this stack of reports. I've found myself anxious to return to my patrols and the cockpit of the Defender. At this time I'd like to request for further assignment to assist 46th Fleet however I can. I know I am still relatively new, but I think with additional assignments, I can prove my capabilities and serve Liberty to my fullest potential. Sender ID: Captain Alice Shepard Good evening members of the Command Staff, With the uptick in the criminal element in New York now culled, we have returned to Omicron Nu to continue monitoring the system. We were met with an LSF Corvo Captained by Victor not soon after our arrival and they to are surveying the system but has informed me that they have found nothing thus far. Now normally I would believe them but the LSF are not always reluctant to share information unless absolutely necessary. Our scan did verify his identity and it can be seen in the attachment below. Sender ID: Captain Alice Shepard Good evening members of the Command Staff, When you think you have seen it all I keep getting surprised. We were orbiting the Super Gate when a Freelancer named James Dunn came through the gate. He is flying a Taureau Gallic Frigate and was hauling FloraGro. The Freelancer did not expect us to be there judging by his reaction when he came out of the jump sequence to see us starting at him. I sent him back to Texas. Relevant scans are provide below. This is my first official report since joining the 46th. If there is anything I missed or need to include next time please let me know. Upon my acceptance from the Fleet Admiral, I set out on a late-night patrol. I patrolled the lanes in New York, Texas, and Pennsylvania. While in Pennsylvania I ran into Lieutenant Jr Grade Bartlett, who I became acquainted with for the first time. The two of us went back to New York to patrol and caught the end of a dogfight between an Outcast and Bounty Hunter. The Bounty Hunter disabled the Outcast quickly and efficiently. Other than that, the system was quiet as I monitored the New York system for the next hour after Officer Bartlett went planetside. This morning, I went on patrol in the New York system and became acquainted with both Rear Admiral Brown as well as Lieutenant Olson of the Savannah. Shortly after meeting, we received a message on the SOS channel that the Insurgency Dreadnought "Discovery" had been sighted near Norfolk Shipyard. I geared up my Defender and moved to Norfolk to monitor the situation. The Discovery had positioned herself in the Lane between Norfolk and Chadwick station with the minefield to the sides, preventing flank attacks. Suddenly, a Cruiser, code-name Uppercut, accompanied by Gibraltar, commanded by Rear Admiral Brown, as well as LSF bomber Hussar arrived on the scene. I remained out of the firing lines and monitored the surrounding area, to ensure that no other hostile ships decided to make a mess of things. Uppercut handled the Discovery efficiently, putting it out of action in a matter of minutes. I have all of the footage stowed in the chip of my Defender and have downloaded it to a secure drive in the event we require it for future study. Sender ID: Captain Alice Shepard Good evening members of the Command Staff, Here is an update on the situation in Omicron Nu, we are experiencing a higher than normal volume of traffic over the last week or so. From Order Agents to now Outcasts blatantly using our gate for nefarious deeds. It is my prediction that the traffic from Omicron Nu to Virginia will only increase over the coming months and we are going to need more manpower filtering out the undesirables (Order, Outcasts, Corsairs, etc). For now these forces seem hesitant to approach the Vermont which is good sign. The Order Pilot claims they were out on a marked patrol path but I believe it was only an excuse to get close to our operations here in the system. Shepard out.
