Liberty Forces Message dump - Jihadjoe - 12-16-2009 ****INCOMING TRANSMISSION**** PRIORITY: Medium ENCRYPTION: MEDIUM COMM ID: Fleet Admiral David Hale TARGET ID: Liberty Forces SUBJECT: A number of promotions within the Navy Commander Malrone, congratulations again on your promotion. Your suggestion of a criminal registry for liberty citizens to file complaints with evidence is certainly a worthwhle one, and would most likely help our relations with the Zoners regarding Bethelhem station. Should we choose to implement the idea, I expect we could trust you to run it. Hale out. ****TRANSMISSION TERMINATED**** Liberty Forces Message dump - Asgardian - 12-16-2009 [Inbound Transmission] --Streaming-- ~ Commander Jack Malrone. >Patrol Report. Just a quick patrol report here. Hopped into the Indiana for a patrol of Texas when I came across a Freelancer, Joey_Arrow. Scans revealed he'd taken a few souvenirs from our fair nation - Naval officers. Needless to say, I was quite annoyed and ordered him to hand over the apparent hostages. Once I'd chased him to the Freeport, I came across a Xeno and Rogue "hanging out" there. We exchanged words on how much we wanted to go toe-to-toe right there and then, but it came to nothing in the end. A few minutes passed and a Hessian came, delivering something to the Rogue. Once the Navy hostages were released onto the Freeport, we quickly made our way to the Texas jumpgate and back to Liberty after idle threats from the Hessian were issued. Once back in Texas, Ensign Will met up and we were about to start a patrol when LSF Agent Everette called in from Bering, relaying that she was under attack by the Xeno. Unfortunately, the Indiana couldn't withstand a sudden burst of ion from the nearby sun and we were forced to make an emergency landing on Housten. Commander Jack Malrone --Stream End-- [Transmission End] Liberty Forces Message dump - Asgardian - 12-18-2009 [Inbound Transmission] --Streaming-- ~ Commander Jack Malrone. >The Joker. Another quick report detailing the rescue of some of our officers that were captured by the Joker. I ran into him on patrol to California and persuaded him to hand over several captured Navy officers. They were in desperate need of medical attention, so I whisked them to West Point's medical bay for a thorough examination. As I type this report, seven of the eight officers have been given a clean bill of health, however one is still in intensive care, with severe burns to over 70% of his body. All officers are advised not to engage this Joker character without backup, as his goons will come crawling out of the woodwork when you do. Also, I'm drafting up the report format for the planned criminal registry. Commander Jack Malrone --Stream End-- [Transmission End] Liberty Forces Message dump - Mere_Mortal - 12-18-2009 INCOMING TRANSMISSION Sender: Corporal James Moore Location: Battleship Missouri Greetings, Today I encountered a rather strange pirate called Mountain_Face in New York, piloting a Corsair Gunboat, that had been attacking innocent civilians and allies. After a short patrol, they were sighted and quickly pinned down. Myself and two Navy capital vessels retrieved our friends from its hull and, as they took too long in releasing the civilians, they were destroyed. To my amazement, a report came in only a matter of seconds later of the same individual destroying a trader at Bethlehem. I immediately made to the Zoner base where I found them attacking traders. I requested that they cease fire, but instead turned their turrets on me. Time after time myself and the Montpelier destroyed their boat, but they simply kept appearing with a new one. I didn't even know Bethlehem stocks Corsair Gunboats, we should look into this. It is recommended that any sighting of this pirate be treated with urgency as they do not hang around in opening up on anything which they deem unfit. Fortunately it is not well armoured and is an easy target for antimatter. Regards, Cpl. Moore TRANSMISSION TERMINATED Liberty Forces Message dump - Asgardian - 12-19-2009 Comms Error Liberty Forces Message dump - Asgardian - 12-20-2009 [Inbound Transmission] --Streaming-- ![]() ![]() >Extensive Patrol detail. Apologies in advance for some informal talk, however man oh man that was a big patrol. Commodore Robinson, Sub. Lt. Redline and myself started what we thought would be an ordinary patrol. No less than two minutes flight time and I'd already found an Outcast. He was hassling some Navy and LSF officers, so I let them take care of him. Unfortunately, the LSF officer fell to the Outcasts weapons and he fled towards Rochester by the time I met up with Commodore Robinson in Texas. http://img130.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image001uy.jpg As we started our patrol, two traders were intercepted attempting to break the trade blockade in Texas. Commodore Robinson convinced them that their lives were worth more than their cargo and they chose to return to Kusari with their cargo intact. However, once we'd escorted them to Norfolk, they suddenly changed their minds and made a B-line for the California gate. I didn't like that one bit, but apparently they'd found greater profit in Bretonia for their goods. Once we reached the California gate, I was bringing up the rear when an apparent "Miner" came through the gate... http://img199.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image002mv.jpg His comm ID was merely a distraction as once I scanned his cargo, I soon began to realise he was indeed a criminal of sorts. When I requested he halt for an immediate scan, he ignored it and proceeded to open fire. Naturally, I returned fire with the full brunt of my new weapons on my Guardian. His shield was soon down, but his ability to dodge outranked by ability to aim. With that in mind, Redline came to assist me. http://img31.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image015ie.jpg After a short while, I left Redline to his own devices and the Commodore and myself went to scan California due to goons being reported in the sector. Joker goons, that is. Once we arrived, they disappeared quicker than a Rogue at the sight of a shower. We went back to New York and scanned the lanes for any hostiles. Another officer in the field sent out an sos from sub-sector D6 - The Badlands. Not ever leaving an officer behind, I called Commodore Robinson into it and we both made our way to the battle-bruised officer. Upon arrival, two of the Joker's lackeys were assaulting our officer and split as soon as they saw us. I began chase of number 15. http://img109.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image003ih.jpg After an unduly long pursuit, he finally came to his senses and stopped his ship. He started stalling for backup and that didn't go down too well with me. I started firing on the little so-and-so and he slowly made his way towards another Joker goons for backup. Knowing the power of two bombers, I called Commodore Robinson in for backup. By this time, Sub Lt. Redline was well and truly <strike>drunk off his face</strike> refueled to the brim. http://img199.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image004gn.jpg Again, after an unduly long battle, number 15 flew veerrry far away and his backup ran towards another "big battle". I didn't get a chance to catch my breath before I found an unusual fighter at West Point. I asked Commodore Robinson if she'd seen it before and apparently there was a warrant out for his arrest - For slave driving. http://img199.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image005gb.jpg He refused to stop for a cargo scan and yet another unduly long pursuit started. He started threatening that I'd "need backup" and such. However, the good Commodore was busy dealing with pirates elsewhere in the sector, so he was stuck with little ol' me. After he deceived me once by saying he was willing to pay the fine, I cornered him next to West Point and scrapped his ship. ![]() The Commodore then requested that I make my way to the Norfolk-West Point tradelane due to increased pirate activity. As she was saying that, I came across a Rogue in Manhatten orbit. I chased the little begger to the site of a larger battle which the Commodore was involved in. http://img687.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image008ka.jpg Soon after I entered the battle, the enemy came to their senses and realised who they were versing here and retreated back to their hole in the Badlands. http://img109.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image009o.jpg At least, I like to think my arrival made them all scram... Anyway. As soon as we were done with those pirates, more appeared at Manhatten. I was starting to think their ships grew on trees. Crackz had some balls to pirate in front of Newark, but not enough to answer to his pirating charges. Long pursuit number three started as I chased him half way across New York into the Jersey debris field, towards Rochester. As we got closer to the Junker base, a Greyhound bore down on my ship and now I was chasing two pirate suspects. Minutes after I started pursuit of the Greyhound (Norban Rhicter), a Rogue transport appeared from a jumphole anomaly. Guess what? He decided to run as well. http://img109.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image010q.jpg http://img687.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image011yi.jpg http://img109.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image012k.jpg The Rogue wasn't too happy about being found out and exchanged some nasty words with Crackz. Whilst they were busy arguing amongst themselves, Commodore Robinson was getting into position to intercept. Before she could, Crackz ran away crying, leaving only Norban and the Rogue. Chasing them towards Pittsburg, Commodore Robinson fired a few CD's their way and they finally came to a full stop. http://img109.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image013ct.jpg After some playful banter, Norban ran from us and the Commodore ordered the transport to be damaged irreparably. We left the Rogue with little other choice than to abandon his ship as we left it floating towards Pittsburg. Finally, I had a spare moment to catch my breath. All that nice "breathing" didn't last long as we made our way to patrol California. Seems there's an invisible barrier preventing me from entering California, as I only made it to the gate again before we came across an annoying Hacker, Kieran. Commodore Robinson began pursuit and I went around to Detroit to head off the Hacker. On the way there, I came across our old friend, Norban. He wasn't too happy to see me as I changed course to track down his little Greyhound. He soon came to his senses and Commodore Robinson joined me in requisitioning his ship. I gave him two choices - Eject from his ship with or without the aid of my weapons. The sun would surely make his ejection system overload and make a forceful jettison. Taking his word that he was headed for the sun, we followed him only to realise he was headed for the debris field. I'd given this guy enough leeway and now I wanted his ship destroyed. Commodore Robinson joined me in this decision as the chase began. We made it to a strange little part of the Pittsburg debris field where some sort of Rogue destroyer was positioned. http://img37.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image014nf.jpg Norban circled the thing for quite a while as we shot at his ship. An annoying battle of "who's ship can dodge more" ensued - We lost this battle and Norban got away. Fortunately, I've been informed that a Navy Dreadnought is going to pay that Destroyer a little visit. By that time, it'll probably have gone to some other hidey-hole in the sector though. It had been a long and enduring patrol for both the Commodore and myself - The next character we found would be the icing on the cake, so to speak. When we were finally trying to make our way to California to investigate pirate reports, again, something stopped us at the gate. Alfred Neumann was piloting an interesting ship, obviously acquired from a pirate background. Feeling in a somewhat sarcastic mood, I made a few bad jokes to Alfie and he got quickly confused and "lost my question". My question was simply how he obtained that ship. After a mind-numbing talk to the captain, Commodore Robinson gave him until the end of the calender year to change his ship or he'd find an arrest warrant out for him. http://img109.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image013ct.jpg Finally we made it to California to a single Rogue pirating the lanes - The same one who whizzed past Manhatten in his Barghest. Again, the pirate quickly made a B-line for the asteroid field...and I started to hear a hooting noise in the background. http://img685.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image016e.jpg Getting a little annoyed at the slithering nature of these pirates, Commodore Robinson and myself weren't going to let this one go. We chased him to what appeared to be a small Rogue base within one of the asteroids in the field - He thought he'd be safe there. Oh how wrong he was, I razored his shield and the Commodore shoved a SNAC into his framework. He didn't survive that. ![]() We got out of there before their backup arrived and I never thought I'd be glad about ending someones life - But to finally have one of the many pirates destroyed felt relieving. Feeling good about finally downing one of their ships, we made our way back to New York. Alas, we weren't suppose to make it back to New York as we intercepted two Rogue ships passing overhead. We went to investigate and found one of them was a destroyer! Neither the Commodore nor I were willing to let this little puppy go, and they didn't seem to happy about stopping for us. A firing solution was necessary. http://img20.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image019p.jpg Moments in, the Commodore SNAC'd her second Barghest for the day. ![]() The destroyer had powerful shields and equally powerful weapons. As experienced as Commodore Robinson was in her bomber, a light mortar managed to snag her wing, sending her bomber spiraling out of control. I picked up her escape pod and dropped her off at West Point to get a new ship - Not before the good Commodore complained profusely about the mess in my cargo hold. It deserves a mention that just as we were entering the New York jumpgate, two Junkers accompanied by an Outcast gunboat were headed the opposite direction. http://img707.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image023g.jpg Just as both myself and the Commodore were about to relieve ourselves of duty, I came across two Hackers in Manhatten orbit. Fortunately, LSF Director Christian Deus came on duty and assisted us with the issue. http://img85.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image024z.jpg Getting a little annoyed at this point, both Hackers were my next targets. Kieran, in all his geek-ish glory, once again ran - towards Rochester. This little runt had been spouting propaganda all kinds of other nonsense into the general New York comms channel. As I approached Rochester, a Rheinland fighter came from nowhere and started firing on the Hacker. Hesitant about firing, or even being to one of the Junkers questionable outposts, I paused to assess the situation. Alas, that pause probably saved my ship when a Rogue gunboat undocked from the base and started firing on us, no questions asked. Fortunately, the gunboat was a terrible aim and I made it back to Manhatten quite easily. On approach to orbit, a small Rogue fighter joined me outside Trenton. The Rogue presence in California was building, and I wasn't gonna let him join 'em. Commodore Robinson was obviously as annoyed as I was with their presence within our borders as we marked the ship for scrap. The Rogue started whinging (As all Rogues do when slightly overpowered) and alas, a misplaced shot by an officer in the Secondary fleet made his getaway down a tradelane assured, with us unable to pursue. The Rogue quickly got cocky and started laughing in our faces. Annoying little runt. About to collapse at my controls, I was just about to dock at West Point when a smuggler came my way. He was flying a Junker Salvage Frigate - I'm really not trusting these Junkers. http://img20.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image028tm.jpg My patience wearing down to the bone, he was given an absolute ultimatum to either drop the artifacts or be destroyed. Somehow he gained access to West Point's mooring facility and managed to dock there. I gave him ten seconds before an arrest warrant was issued - Commodore Robinson obviously knew how annoyed I was and didn't take charge on this one. We received no response from the Junker. There is now an arrest warrant out on Dark.Revolver That, was the end of an almost six hour patrol throughout Liberty. Although I was glad to hit the sack at the end of it, I had a great sense of patriotism at the end of it. ![]() ![]() Commodore Robinson was an outstanding wing-lady and has earnt a heap of respect in my eyes. Thank you for the patrol, ma'am. Commander Jack Malrone --Stream End [Transmission End] Liberty Forces Message dump - Asgardian - 12-20-2009 [Inbound Transmission] --Streaming-- ![]() ![]() ![]() >Just a note. I've finished my draft for the criminal registry. Commander Jack Malrone --Stream End [Transmission End] Liberty Forces Message dump - Asgardian - 12-22-2009 [Inbound Transmission] --Streaming-- ![]() ![]() ![]() >Patrol Report. Seems there was only moderate unlawful activity in Liberty today - I was breathing the entire time. >Rogue Contact. My patrol started with a known Rogue coming a little too close to Manhatten. I chased him half way across New York before I discontinued the pursuit in the interest of fuel efficiency. ![]() >Second Rogue Contact. When ending the pursuit of the first Rogue, a second one came into scanners range. I moved to intercept and found he was near the Pennsylvannia gate. Although the transport wasn't hauling anything, I felt it necessary to question him how he got a Rogue IFF transponder and what he was doing in the Badlands. As quick as split, he darted off to Pennsylvania, with me hot on his heals. I only managed to get a few shots off before he was out of range. ![]() ![]() He wont get far in Liberty, flashing that Rogue transponder. >Hacker Ambush. After I'd made a quick stop off at West Point for supplies, Vice Admiral Anderson alerted our squadron to a developing situation in Ontario. It seemed an IND representative was under fire from Lane Hackers in the system. We moved swiftly and quickly in on them. Like all good Hackers, they ran like cockroaches when we turned up. ![]() ![]() I followed one, "Disco.Volante", all the way around the sun to a Junker outpost in the sector. Seemed he was bored with me and decided to dock. Probably knew I could take down that pathetic transport he had before he'd be able to sing "Night Fever". Anyway, I caught him a bit later fleeing to Alberta. Not before I had an interesting encounter with the next fellow... >Smuggler. As I was returning from the Junker base, I came across this little punk. Seemed "beyond.the.jumphole" thought he was above the law - Bein' all suave trying to make me come on board Fort Severn to have some drinks with him. Trying to bribe me wasn't gonna work, as I threatened to have him spaced if he didn't undock that barge he had. ![]() Unfortunately, he didn't listen and somehow disappeared on the Fort, along with his ship and the contraband. For smuggling, evading justice, attempted bribery and illegal docking with a Navy installation, beyond.the.jumphole now owes the state $14 million in fines. Maybe once he's got the entire Primary Fleet on the lookout for him, he'll understand not to be so uppity with me. >Criminal Registry. Here's the first draft of the registry: Quote:Although still in the drafting stage, I've decided it would be best to have the actual registry database in a separate, more secure channel. With large list of criminals that will be presented, an efficient database is required, which is why I've laid out the standard reporting format in the reporting channel - To create a homogeneous database system. The actual registry would look something like this: Quote: It may still be a little rough around the edges, but it will hopefully be an efficient method of civilians being able to report criminals so that action may be taken against them. Commander Jack Malrone --Stream End [Transmission End] Liberty Forces Message dump - Contaan - 12-22-2009 --Incoming Transmission-- --Message Encrypted-- --Decoding-- --Message Decoded-- Sender: Vice Admiral Galen Anderson A simple patrol although with its surprises today, as Commander Malrone, Captain Hughes of the Furious Absolution, Director Wolfe, Senior Agent Walker, Agents David Ames, Michael Barnes and Infinity were already out in space. During our patrol of California, Director Wolfe, Captain Hughes and I found a rogue Liberty cruiser who appeared to be weapons testing on Planet Mojave. When questioned, the Captain was drunk and a brawl ensued on the bridge. Needless to say, the Captain is now in the brig awaiting a court marshal and the cruiser docked on Planet Los Angeles. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Also, 3 Hackers were harassing a trader in Ontario, as sensors from the Ottawa 'picked' up the radar contacts. As our force moved in, the Hackers who were Svengali, Disco.Volante, Mr;Sanguinetti fled, although spreading their propaganda and childish insults before doing so. Was a pleasure flying with everyone once again, meeting some of the newer Agents and flying with old wingmates... good to get out from the paperwork. --End Transmission-- Liberty Forces Message dump - Sonja - 12-22-2009 Transmission; Start Identification: Commodore Christina Robinson Location: Texas system, Battleship Mississippi Regarding your first enquiry about the proposed Criminal registry, Commander Malrone; The content included in the first draft of the criminal database and its associated paperwork seems sound to me, though this issue has not been discussed in full between the High Command. However, from the brief opinions voiced when it came up momentarily, the feedback on the idea was good. As such, I'll change a few things here and there and present you with a second draft. - - - - -
• The Liberty Criminal Registry • To the people of Liberty and corporations both foreign and domestic with interests in Liberty; This is a broadcast detailing the new criminal registry the Primary fleet has put in place in an effort to further crack down on known criminal entities working throughout our land. All citizens and visitors to our nation are encouraged to report any and all criminal activities they encounter, assuming that the following conditions are met: • Evidence - Sufficient* undisputed evidence must be presented clearly proving the guilt of the suspect. • Proof of Identity - Sufficient proof must be given of the reporter's affiliation and/or active citizenship in Liberty. • Location - The crimes reported must have taken place inside the boundaries of the house of Liberty.** • Reports should not include - Accusations against groups officially recognised as a threat to Liberty, such as the Phantom Empire, the Xeno Alliance or the Liberty Revolutionary Front must not be included. This is because those groups are already considered criminals by Liberty. * Evidence can be a guncam shot of the suspect engaging in illegal actions and/or audio tracks of the suspect threatening to commit a crime. The decision on whether or not sufficient evidence has been provided rests solely in the Criminal Registry Department leader.
** ‘The house of Liberty’ means the systems of New York, California, Colorado, Texas, Virginia, Yukon, Ontario, Alberta, Kansas, Minnesota, Illinois, Quebec, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and any immediately connecting independent systems, such as but not limited to Magellan and Hudson. The reporting format is, as follows: Code: Suspect Comms ID: [Comms ID of Suspect] All sections are mandatory (unless otherwise stated). All evidence must be presented in the form of a link. No evidence is to be uploaded directly to the registry, as it will put strain on the Department's direct feed from HQ. Any registry submissions with difficiencies will not be considered by the officer in charge of the database. Please note that crimes are described here. If you aren't sure about what crimes the suspect has committed, the processing officer will add them in for you. However, attempts to falsify evidence is a serious crime, if a reporter falsifies any evidence, the arrest warrant will be reversed. Let that be a small warning to you all. With your help, this registry will greatly improve the Primary fleet's ability to react to undesirable forces within our jurisdiction. The Criminal Database is located [here]-Link Under construction Kind regards, Commander Jack Malrone - - - - -
Only small changes were made, and the second part of the proposed registry left untouched as it seems sound to me. Before this becomes an official statement however, it will be discussed in full by High Command. Apologies for the delay. I was also pleased to see and read through your report on our recent exhausting patrol, Commander. It was both entertaining and accurate, further justifying your promotion to the mid-command.
