I'm not sure about others But I sure would like a offline version, it would load a lot faster Is this Possable? RE: Online Navmap (v4.93.0 patch 5, thread updated 20.07.2020) - Save My Soul - 07-21-2020 Newcastle is now connected with Manchester and Leeds by jump gates. Might require a Ctrl + F5 if it doesn't show up immediately. RE: Online Navmap (v4.93.0 patch 5, thread updated 20.07.2020) - Corile - 08-11-2020 Seems like the infocards.txt file is loaded as plaintext and is uncompressed. While it's not really a big deal, on slower connections (like my vpn), that file causes the page to load for more than 30 seconds. I'm not sure how to do it if you're serving it from github pages, but perhaps you could try storing a deflated file in the repo and then inflate it with something like pako on the client. Alternatively, maybe some kind of client-side caching would be possible. RE: Online Navmap (v4.93.0 patch 5, thread updated 20.07.2020) - JCPC - 08-14-2020 Online NavMap doesn't load the Cologne System at all, i don't know if i'm the only one with this issue RE: Online Navmap (v4.93.0 patch 5, thread updated 20.07.2020) - Toaster - 08-14-2020 Can confirm, it gets stuck on "generating map." RE: Online Navmap (v4.93.0 patch 5, thread updated 20.07.2020) - Error - 08-22-2020 Sorry for the late replies, I didn't get an email/PM notification about this thread having new posts so I didn't see them before coming back to update the first post for the latest patch right now. Thanks for the reminder, will likely switch to a combination of client-side caching and some kind of compression during data generation so it isn't as dependent on the specific web server setup it's being hosted from. Should be improved by quite a bit now, with thanks to @Alex. for getting the new nginx config up and running. RE: Online Navmap (v4.93.0 patch 6, thread updated 02.09.2020) - Error - 09-02-2020 Uploaded the first major update in a while now, with most major changes being on the backend (which should hopefully make it easier and faster for me to do more work on this in the future) but also some updates and new features for the five-year old frontend to make it more user-friendly and responsive. The previous version will still be available for a while at https://space.discoverygc.com/navmap/old.html, in case your device doesn't like the new layout or if it's missing something you need. In either case, please feel free to let me know so I can get that fixed! |
