Congressmen,
I am honored to come to you today and ask to present myself for the inspection
of the Junker Congress. My name is Star Raven, as some of you already know. I
humbly submit my application to the Junker Congress for review. For the past
week or so I have flown with different Congressmen and women in attempts to
further my Junker knowledge. I have met many assorted pilots in that time and
have enjoyed myself. I was born on planet Pittsburgh as a wee lad and learned
the ways of mining at an early age.....scrapping was next in line.....this just didn't
appease me, so I did some time as a freelance mercenary doing bounties and
things I can never speak of again.....after learning the art of war I deemed it
better to seek a peaceful solution to all problems....but I am always ready if the
outcome is negative. I am a trader/miner, proficient in gold ore and premium
scrap. I briefly talked with Wild Bill the other day and even though I don't have
a sponcer yet, I am posting my application here for submission. My Ship ID's are

I hope one of you fine gentlemen or ladies would take the time to sponcer myself

Dear Junker Congress,
I am honored to apply here, as I have always dreamed of being a congressman just like my father was.
I grew up on Viques shipyard with my grandfather I was an apprentice mechanic. I rarely got to see my father, because of all the travelling he did. When he would come back he would tell me stories about his adventures, and I wanted to be out with him. He would complain how dangerous it was for me. After bugging him nonstop for years, on my 15th birthday, he let me come with him on a low risk trade route. I quickly got on to my csv that I made from my grandfather's garage, and accompanied him. Halfway though the route the xeno bombers took out my father, as they had a bounty on him. And their fighters tore my ship apart and several life systems were damaged. I barely escaped to a hidden base with a massive colon leak.
I am applying here to be the hero my father once was, to travel like my father, and to kill xenos like my father, and primarily to avenge him.

Johnny Smith here... you may or may not know of me.. I'm pretty reclusive.. so prolly more the latter. I had hoped to work a bit more fa ya guys before'n I contacted ya directly, but ma last haul of liquid courage went, shall we say, well.. unappreciated.. so I did went any fine cap'n do and, well.. disposed of it, and now.. here I am. I've been around for some time now.. though oft' at the edges of the Omicrons. You may have seen a vessel of mine recently, as I was hired to do some work for ya,, both directly and indirectly... which is to say I took an open offer on the latter.. yes, I know I used that word already, but I like tha word latter.. meh. Any way.. ma ship's all be share'n a commonality.. so may be recognizable. The Antumbra be ma main vessel.. a simple scrap'n ship that still packs a bit of a punch, I've the Eclipse which'n I used to supply ya with... then there's ma favorite, though admittedly seldom seen, the Penumbra. Let me tell ya.. you see this ship.. it's likely the last ship you see.. at least if'n I got a grudge with ya. But I digress.. heh.. drunk and still with tha vocabulary... hehe

Now.. from ma understand'n, we may be of some help to each other. I've done some good for ya with the menial delivers I provided, and you did the same with the creds and, well lets face it.. the front of legit cargo. I won sugar-coat it here for ya gents.. I aint exactly lookin for no steady job here. What I am looking for, however, is some work.. some contacts, an perhaps some I can count on in a pinch. Over the years, I've seen your organization to be exactly that. Had a few run ins with'n ya some years back and was nothing but impressed. As of late... it's been the same. Good work, good peoples.. even some advice here and there.

Now I know ya be want'n me to show up with some great word.. some'n willing to vouch for me.. I'd love to provide that. As it were, ma operation schedule seems to be a bit off from most of ya, where as I'm pretty toasty and more happy to park behind a nice nebulae and enjoy the pretty colors when most of ya be out n about. Though I do at least have one of yers vouching for ma drinks. Haven't quite yet had the luxury of drop'n by the Drunken Junker, but I've got it on good word that "JT's" got ma tab when'n I do.. I told em it were a mistake, but he was adamant. Heh heh. we'll se if'n he feels the same when'n he sees the bill.

But alas.. I digress.. well not really.. I just like that phrase.. makes me feel fancy. But I am ranting. My point was way lost.. infact.. I'm not even sure why I'm contacting you.. what was I doing again? Oh damn,..

Johnny turns away from the monitor looking a bit cofused. He pauses for a moment, staring blankly into the distance. Picking up a bottle of Liberty Ale, he turns towards the screen...

Johnny turns around, scratching his head. He turns back with a puzzled look on his face.. he pauses for a moment, then looks towards the bottle of ale in his hand. After another pause, he takes a long drink.

Hmm? Oh yes.. so I was saying. I think we may be of use to each other, and I'd like to discus this more. I should be conscious at some point tomorrow.. contact me then, or whenever it's convent. Just not to soon.. k?

Johnny takes another long drink.. he pauses for a moment, glancing at the bottle.. the turns it upside down, gulping the remaining contents... the screen goes black just before he does.

Thank you Deputy Arbiter, I'd very much like that. Had a great time chattin with a fella flying the Smugglers.Dream, and just raised my desire to fly with you fellas all the more.
