[IND]Memo Dump. - centauri5pirate - 01-31-2010 *****INCOMING TRANSMISSION***** COMM ID: CUTTER'S GOOSE ACCESS ID: 118032b-PO LOCATION: Planet Cambridge, Cambridge System DESTINATION: ALL IND EMPLOYEES TRANSMISSION COMMENCING...... At 0800 hours yesterday, I was contracted to transport 40 scientists and their classified work from Willard Research Station in California to Cambridge Research Station. Apparently, the documents were more sensitive than I was told. The problem did not begin until New London, where the lane was hacked between the Manchester Gate and Kensington. Four unidentified craft engaged without warning and breached my hull before I was able to respond. Luckily my gunner was able to keep the fighters at bay as I plotted coordinates for the Cambridge Jump Hole. My cruise engines engaged and we were on our way, but a nova torpedo had already locked on, slamming into the port engine, causing severe damage to the reactor core. I managed to put some good distance between us and made it to the jump hole when another explosion rocked the ship as I was jumping. When we arrived in Cambridge, I could only proceed on impuse power, my cruise engines were gone and my thruster was inoperable. Surprisingly, I encountered no Corsairs between the NL hole and the research station and was able to limp into port. Luckily, no scientist was killed and their research was still intact, but I did lose my chief engineer and three other crew members when the port engine exploded. I am now docked at Planet Cambridge and expect to be here for the next few weeks while my ship is being repaired. Luckily, there is no shortage of Shire parts here and the mechanics know this ship well, so it shouldn't be long before I'm underway again. These attacking ships were rather strange, jet black with one red stripe running the length of the ship, no running lights and a design similar to that of the Nepthys. I've never encountered a craft like that and I'm certain that the attack was not against me, but rather the scientists and whatever it was they were carrying, but I needed to warn you just the same. It is imperative that all of us use Epsilon escort when transporting human cargo, especially when classified documents are involved... I anticipate more problems in the future. That is all for now. -Cutter out. ......END TRANSMISSION *****LINK TERMINATED***** [IND]Memo Dump. - Dusty Lens - 09-01-2010 -( Incoming Transmission )-

[font=Comic Sans Ms]-( '¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢)- -( The IND )- -( Timothy Rhyme )- I'm pleased to announce that the SCRA commission was successfully concluded without incident. I'm also pleased to note that I was able to secure the bonus, which tastes nearly as sweet as the IND's collective tears of regret. I am also pleased to note that the contract has been expanded to involve the transport of 100.000 additional refugees in two groups of 50.000. Two hundred million bonus' will be handed out for the shipment of both. So get cracking. We will be discussing additional business with them. I plan to use this event as an inroad into further discussion with neighboring elements in the Omegas. Namely the Hessians and Order, with whom the SCRA maintains dealings. I have contacted both the Corsairs and Outcasts to seek additional opportunities for contracted trade. Otis and I completed a delivery contract with the TAZ, shipping a considerable amount of consumable alloy to their shipyards. The bill will be honored shortly. On the note of honoring bills the LR- took it upon themselves to demand an unreasonable sum from Bulls, which resulted in a ragtag fleet destroying a rightly refusing IND Train. This was met with a prompt bounty, which I rather hope will result in more action than it warrants due to sabre rattling at the Mandos. We'll see. I remain occupied in the deep Omegas. I will report again should anything of substance occur. -( Transmission Terminated )-

[font=Comic Sans Ms]-( '¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢)- -( The IND )- -( Timothy Rhyme )- Do notice that we've wrangled a deal with the BHG. Maintaining discretion in the Omegas is our -top- priority. That region is one of intense conflict and not closing doors is going to be an extremely sensitive and troublesome task. Maintain the greatest caution when answering questions and announcing intent. Any and all questioned cargo is going to the Zoners. Make what payouts you need in order to cover your arses with the same. We can fudge shipping manifests and lost cargo reports, we can't repair relationships when they find we're supplying the people shooting them. -( Transmission Terminated )-

[font=Comic Sans Ms]-( '¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢)- -( The IND )- -( Timothy Rhyme )- Many thanks to Mr. Burtenstein for his decisive role in concluding our first BHG contract. With results like that we can expect a swift contract renewal, though I expect the next will be more troublesome. The SCRA has presented us with a rather robust referral to other organizations in the region. The Hessians have extended their hand and a contract to move some supplies from their bases to Kusari. This is an opportunity we cannot miss. The Hessians control a rather large swath of territory in the region and being on their good side is paramount to smooth operations. As paramount as not pissing off the Corsairs and Rheinland Government in the process. Use caution. To the end of pissing off the Rheinland government a call was put out to aid in some Volksfront relief efforts. I expressed our interest but have yet to hear a reply. -( Transmission Terminated )-

[font=Comic Sans Ms]-( '¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢'¢)- -( The IND )- -( Timothy Rhyme )- Right, I'm not even sure where to begin. The last weeks saw the IND transport over a hundred thousand persons from Bretonia to the heart of the Coalition movement, the successful bidding for a contract with the Hessians, renewed contracts with the GC, renewed contracts with the Corsairs, the outbreak of war in the Omegas between the Zoners, Bretonia and virtually every regional power. I found myself running refugees from the freeport on a humanitarian bit while under fire from everything ranging from Corsair battleships to the Tundra. Furthermore Otis managed to get himself pirated by a couple of Rogues, who tore up his ship after demanding a rather homely king's ransom. So we've put out a bounty on the freks which has dissolved, in turn, into a running war with the LR- both within and without Liberty space. Mercs on one side, war on the other. Somehow running goods between the lot. Which brings me to the good news. Efforts to secure a contract to ship goods to the Corsairs couldn't have paid out better. Just as the Zoners retract their standing arrangement to ship goods we're right there with hat in one hand and sandwich in the other. Beautifully timed. We've been approached on the matter of aiding the Corsairs in establishing nutritional independence, a daunting task but one which we might be to the task of meeting with considerable investment of resources. Additionally, in recognition for our efforts in 52 the SCRA have offered permission to establish holdings in their space, which might provide purchase for our organization to establish influence throughout not only the region but with local parties... But I don't see how we can capitalize fully on these opportunities under current conditions. IC is breathing down our back wondering what we're upto. We've been neglecting our corporate duties and auditors are just about sieging the corporate offices back home. Might be time to cut the corporate anchor and strike out on our own. It'll remove the safe haven of the core to fall back on, but give us ever so much more breathing room in the borderworlds. -( Recording Terminated )-
[IND]Memo Dump. - Dusty Lens - 09-17-2010 Timothy Rhyme slipped the datapad into his coat pocket. The rough hewn cloth of his flight jacket sat comfortably atop the environmental hazard suit he donned beneath it. He didn't expect to be absent from the Hand for very long. Long enough to send a brief transmission and collect a sparse few personal affects from his Interspace Commerce office. The office afforded a small window, in itself an unparalleled luxury that he never expected would come in his early lifetime of working as a investigations man. The station was far removed from those of his youth, the brimming activity all but blinding the casual eye to the depth of stars behind. He shook his head. All this wouldn't amount to a fog of a memory if they pulled off what lay ahead. The pad thrummed in his pocket, the press release had been issued. <div align="right]It was time for the real work to begin. But hey, that's irrelevant, really. The point is you're offering us a business deal. As you can probably guess, the IND has a lot of irons in the fire already. There's always room for more contractors, though. I'll contact you on a private channel shortly. Oh, and for future reference, this ain't the place to post your job offers. Next time try opening a new channel on the public net. This specific channel is supposed to be open to the IND only. [IND]Memo Dump. - Kyte_ - 12-17-2011 *****INCOMING TRANSMISSION***** COMM ID: SASHA.CASTILLE ACCESS ID: 111366s-NS LOCATION: In Transit DESTINATION: ALL IND EMPLOYEES Greetings and Salutations, Due to unavoidable circumstances, it has become necessary to retire a goodly portion of my personal fleet. Currently I have under my direct command two IND flagged vessels. [IND]Mystic, an enterprise class liner and a HavokII bomber registered as [IND]Repossessed. I'll leave the obvious allusions to your collective creativity. With the much anticipated release of our new Renzu Liner, I'm sure that you are all as excited as I am to see her in the flesh, so to speak. I'm told that we should expect to see the first orders filled in the first part of the first quarter. Quite a way to ring in the New Year, I must say. Additionally, our new Offices should be ready soon. A special thanks to all for the late nights on this project. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed. I've been authorized to add a bit of sugar to your normal Holiday bonus cheques. Be sure to enjoy yourselves and do something extraordinarily indulgent. We are expanding our private financial branch, per popular request. I've been asked and have accepted a CFO position within the branch to help insure a smooth transition during this expansion phase. The broad strokes are as follows: Any IND funds must be secured in tandem with an active IND policy, that is to say, if we haven't worked with you, in the past, the purse strings will be hard pressed to be loosed. Conversely we are pleased to assist past clients, while hopefully enriching the interests of both parties. The terms of credit through the IND are extended at a fixed 27% interest rate, compounded weekly (7 days), and are not to extend beyond 2 weeks (14 days). A 7 day agreement is preferred, in most cases, unless arrangements have been made and cleared in advance. (Prior to release of funds). Any inquires may be forwarded to this office, concerning this new program. Lastly, I am concerned about the status of our Fleet and our people in the field. While I realize we are a busy bunch, the numerous changes within our organization require a bit of time on all our parts. We'll need to get an updated Fleet list as well as status with regard to Visas. I know that I will need clearance for both of my aforementioned vessels. With the Holidays and the New Year upon us, I would ask that we try to check in prior to the close of the year. For those out of range of this communique, adjustments will be made, of course. Exciting times, ladies and gentlemen... I look forward to hearing from you all in the not so distant future. Warmest Regards, Sasha.Castille ********************************* END TRANSMISSION ************************************* |
