* This is the transcript of the failed negotiations, with some static removed for ease of reading. It should be noted that several IMG vessels took it upon themselves to pursue and confront the O'Reily brothers at Arranmore, violently, prior to this meeting. *
We arrived at the Hood via the Edinburgh hole. Some Corsair recon fighters impeded our progress briefly. A few VE vessels, some Mollies, and several IMG craft were present.

Mr Barlett,
The recent times have been rather turbulent. I'll give you the brief version, but feel free to request further clarification on anything you need.
Omega space: After a unilateral annexation by Rheinland of part of the system, a brief conflict erupted between Rheinland (mainly instigated by Daumann) and ourselves. A Colonial expeditionary force, assisted by Red Hessian and Rot Front fighters, successfully resisted Rheinland's attempts to force us from the system. At present I'd describe our situation as a truce, there. We are allowed to trade within Rheinland, and for the present, mining in the south side of Omega 7 is not advised.
The assistance by the Hessians has not been forgotten, and several efforts are being made to show our appreciation. The Corsairs remain our main enemies in Omega space.
Tau space: More or less unchanged. The Gallic Brigand group "Legion of the Damned" (I believe they call themselves this, transponder ID +LE+) is hostile to us, as are the Outcasts. A gallic group known as the Maquis are indicating they wish to be neutral to us, as long as we do not interfere with their actions against the various Gallic royalist factions. We are neutral to most of these, but we are not their guardforce.
Bretonia: Quite recently our good relations with the Mollies collapsed. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how this happened, but I suspect our too-good-to-be-true deals with the MMC might have drawn ire from the hardliner Mollies. Mining in Dublin at present is dangerous with the Mollies shooting at us, and we're planning to scale back our operations there, relocating to Cambridge and the neglected Beryllium mining operations in that system. While some of the Guild's miners may stay behind, I personally have no wish with a prolonged conflict with the Mollies. When they and us fight, the Armed Forces and especially BMM are the laughing third. And despite their current agressive stance, I remain sympathetic to their cause.
Magellan: Freeport 4's status remains largely unchanged. The Lane Hackers use it for their own purposes every now and then, they seem respectful of our wish to keep things as peaceful as can be around there. Occasionally a few junkers run amok within the system, but they rarely attack our convoys. Instead they use the freeport to make occasional repairs to their craft.
As to the guild structure, no, there has not been a coup. We've just sought to make things a little more organized and transparant. I suppose the only serious change would be that we consider the old guildmaster, Encheta Simoa, to be missing. There simply hasn't been any contact in too long, so succession became neccesary to give the Guild a proper figurehead.

I had a great run ysterday mined 15k copper for 3 transort ships.
What was interesting was that i managed to talk down a merc who wanted to get the bounty my first ALG customer the Marquis.
That same ship also got the attention of 2 hessians but with some diplomacy i managed to get them to hold their fire.
A whole bunch of reavers also did show up at one point but thankfully they were only interested in a gunboat near me.
Afterwards i went back to my quarters on Freistadt and that about wraps up this report.

1. Dublin-Camebridge Relocation
We have relocated most of Hood personel, ships and machinery to Cardiff over the course of the last days. The station's infrastructure has yet to adapt to the increased number of launches, and some storage facilities have not yet arrived.

The recent incident in Omega 7 once again underscores the need for us to keep a low profile when dealing with organizations that house authorities call unlawful. If you want to warn Hessian, Molly, Lanehacker or Xenos fighters about possible house vessels enroute to them, use a direct, private comm. It is very important the Guild remains at least neutral to the various Houses, as our ability to trade within house space depends upon that. Appearances matter. It are after all politicians that decide law in the various houses.
That said, imprisonment for what is according to Rheinland law, disorderly conduct... I reckon the WRF officer in charge of that mess will be held responsible for the destruction of our mining craft instead of what by law should have been a hefty fine.

If you have the means to locate our wayward explorer, then by all means. I wish I could give you a direction... Encheta actively participated in the exploratory wing, and was last known to be headed on a deep space recon to Tau 83, outside of the known jumphole grid. That was months ago. A single spatial is like a needle in a haystack, in deep space.
