Subject: Report - 08.06.830 | Routine patrols

Good evening, admiralty and fellow officers.

Shortly after settling in on Missouri and receiving my standart issue ships, I've taken off for a routine patrol. As a stroll along the lane network proven uneventful I've braved venturing into the asteroid fields... and not without a result. A cannibal smuggler DTR>CCS-Torro.Halcon have cloaked and rushed to Fontana Freeport through Sierra Ice Field, docking there with unidentified cargo and actually unloading it on station. Whatever it was - it couldn't be anything good and we'd do good urging the police to take measures to track down the shipment of illicit goods.

As I've been ill equipped to deal with this class of ships, I unfortunately, had to let the smuggler go, however, keeping tabs for their identification. It's also advised to have a cloak disruptor on scene as this frigate is equipped with a cloaking device.

From there, I've taken an uneventful detour to Pennsylvania and particularly - Ralston Ice Asteroid Field, as it's a local center of commerce but fortunately, there's been no trouble but a Freelancer miner and an Interspace transport. Politely hailing the pilot and the captain, I've carried on to Texas, where my patrol have concluded without much more remarkable events.

On eight of June, I started my patrol from Battleship Arkansas in Texas, hailed by Kodiak-2, manned by none other than admiral Tanner and our most recent recruit, Bishop Zehel, in another routine patrol. It was even less eventful, but hopefully taught Bishop some good lessons; the most remarkable event is interception of an Insurgent pilot in North Dallas debris field. He chose to silently accept his fate and was dealt with after a short dogfight, misplacing his own ordnance. Whether it's a desperate fugitive running from the inevitable, or a sabotage unit pursuing unknown goals is likely to remain a mystery.

That's all for the report.

Personal Log,

Took the old, dusty BDR-337 out for a flight today. I was accompanied by Lieutenant Junior Grade Chiavallati and the newest junior officer, Ensign Zehel. Both of which had just received their promotions.

We were in the Texas system and received a long-range hail from Lieutenant Commander Silva, of the Akhetaten. She informed us that there was a Xeno entering the system, so we departed from the vicinity of the Arkansas, and took the lane to the New York jump gate. As expected, the Xeno was there, seemingly waiting for us - Callsign was "XA-Bevan,Harrison". The usual pleasantries were exchanged and I ordered the Lieutenant and Ensign to take the terrorist in. As anticipated, they un-politely declined, so there was no choice by to engage.

The engagement went on and I noticed that Ensign Zehel was having calibration issues with his targeting systems, so I ordered him to stand down. By which point, the Akhetaten had arrived on the scene. I ordered Zehel to hold in the vicinity of the Orisis Class and moved in to assist Lieutenant Chiavallati. Together we made relatively light work on the Xeno and sent him packing in the Rebel's escape pod, which ejected just before the hull was destroyed. I'll be honest, he fought really well and it was no easy engagement - though, I'm very much out of fighter combat practice now.

I am pleased with the events of the day. No one was seriously hurt and the Xeno pilot was dispatched. Law and order of the Republic prevail, once more.

End of report.

Subject: Report - 08.06.830 | Anomalies in Virginia

Good evening, admiralty and fellow officers. This is an urgent matter and I advise it's taken with all due seriousness.

As Rear Admiral Uhmen and Fleet Admiral Kemp-Smith have already described events prior to these, I'll skip the premise and focus on the essence.

Seeing as alien form have entered Virginia through the Supergate as I have escorted Akhetaten back to shipyard for repairs - I hurried back on scene - and right about that I was. At 19:42:49, a series of attacks on Virginia system was commenced, and list of targets is as follows:

19:42:49 - St. Albans Shipping Platform
19:52:33 - Omicron Nu Supergate
19:56:25 - Chesapeke Research Facility

All attacks have been deterred but what concerns me more is the composition of forces: many of the vessels were bearing Insurgent transponders, some few didn't return any, as if theirs were malfunctioning or fell into disrepair due to neglect. Needless to say that all, in conjuction, makes me suspect suspect the attackers were, in truth, a host of infested, Order Agents that were present and assisted with containing the attacks speculated as much. As of this moment, Allen. M. Sumner is holding position by the Arkansas and it's cargo hold is a containment bay for eighteen captured pilots. They're our best evidence to confirm or refute this theory, but regardless of the outcome - Virginia's security must be bolstered and this alien must be rooted out. Or destroyed.

I'll also advise to coordinate efforts with the Order Agents that were present on scene the entire time, assisted Naval forces in containing this incrusion, and are appraised of the situation. Relevant visual and textual data will be attached below.

That is all.

Command,

This is my AAR for my most recent patrol. I started off near Houston, and patrolled Texas, where I then headed to New York. Upon jumping through the New York gate, an Insurgent pilot was making a nuisance of himself near the lane to Norfolk. I dispatched him quickly and continued my patrol of Liberty Space. I looped through New York, and then over to Pennsylvania to monitor Erie. In light of recent events, Alpha wing has been keeping a close eye on the system for anything abnormal. All was normal upon my arrival. After checking a couple of freelancer traders and making sure all ships, identification, and cargo were up to code, I met with Fleet Admiral Kemp-Smith outside of Manhattan. He and I led a patrol to the California system, which showed no significant signs of hostile activity.

I am currently planet-side on Manhattan, and am on standby for further orders.

Good evening.

This is Lieutenant Junior Grade Callum Hayes with an After-Action Report. I received an emergency signal from Ensign Zehel that an Insurgent was in orbit of Manhattan. I was planet-side at the time, and launched my Defender immediately. I managed to disable the Insurgent's ship and send him packing, but shortly after a Liberty Rogue vessel, callsign Gunnarson.Sion emerged on the scene and I was forced to withdraw. Ensign Zehel and a member of the Secondary Fleet, callsign Alpha-1, managed to bring the Rogue vessel under control.

Once repairs were made on my Defender I RVed with Admiral Kemp-Smith near Manhattan. After a short briefing with Norfolk, we set out for Kepler to monitor the system, in light of recent events. The trip was short due to the radioactive conditions of the Kepler system, and with lack of capital ship support. The anomaly, and the system as a whole was quiet. However, due to the unstable readings, I feel that it is necessary to increase our patrols to Kepler. It's important that we keep an eye on... whatever that thing is. On our way back, we ran into an LSF Agent callsign Comanche. Nothing further to report at this time.

My Defender is back at Norfolk and I am on standby for further orders.

Subject: Report - 830/06/13 | Xenos Incursion in Pennsylvania

Sir,

Ensign Bishop Zehel and I were going through the fundamentals of fighter combat when we were contacted by members of the 1st of the sighting of Xenos over in the system of Pennsylvania. Ensign Zehel and I rushed out of the simulators, did our ready checks on our fighters and headed out in search of the aforementioned rebels.

Whilst the 1st cordoned off the areas around Planet Erie and over towards Philadelphia Station, Zehel and I headed towards the direction of the helium mining field within the Meadville Ice Asteroid Field. As we passed right over Planet Tremont, we caught some Xenos on our scanners and while we did hail them to exchange some "pleasantries" so to say... We continued cruising away as I relayed their positions to the 1st for backup.

The Xenos were legends of sorts or so I have dug into: Cobra, Taipan, and two members of the Xenos' infamous Phantom Squadron.

Ensign Zehel either had a comms malfunction or was eager to get into the fight when he broke off from me and engaged Cobra. It took me a while to realize until I glanced at my scanners to find out that his ship and Cobra's was the same distance away from me.

I quickly turned around, beckoned for Cobra to cease fire and to have a duel with me instead. To my chagrin, he declined and continued riddling the Ensign's ship with rhythmic particle fire whilst zipping around him.

I made the decision to butt in before the 1st arrived to try to get some pressure off the Ensign which cascaded into the rest of the Xenos engaging on us. We had no chance out of that but I was not about to leave my comrade alone.

Ensign Zehel's Avenger was soon disabled, his escape pod activating, sending him further away, safe from the furball of a fight.

The 1st later arrived where I worked closely with Lya Robbins as she became the primary target of the Xenos, I was able to damage Taipan a little but not enough for him to break off. A few turns and mines on the field later, Robbins was taken down and a chill down my spine told me that I'd be the next target. 2 Xenos down on me right then and there, Phantom.111 and Cobra whilst the rest of the 1st clumsily bumble around shooting their own targets instead of focusing a single target down.

I was soon dispatched, and drifted away in my pod, still hearing the incessant, panicked communications from the 1st pilots. I shut off my radio and activated the transponder for a recovery ship.

Ensign Zehel and I were transported back to Norfolk. We patiently await our new ships as we headed back to the combat simulator.

That will be all, Sir.

Evening,

You might be interested in this:

Obviously, the Xeno and the Auxesians thought they'd have it off easy. From personal experience, the LSF would sometimes grant leniency towards the Auxesians while they commuted through Liberty and went about their business. This is the first I've seen of some sympathy between the two groups, maybe it's just a person-to-person basis, and these are wildcards, or maybe this could hint at something more serious. Either way, it seemed worth mentioning.

Godspeed.

Good morning.

At the Norfolk shipyard, I was informed about the Outcast fighter. Since I was the most experienced pilot present, I started a duel with him. However, after a minute, several Liberty Rogues gunboats appeared, and the duel had to be interrupted to focus on the gunboats. We managed to destroy two gunboats with the help of three fighters, but the friendly cruiser's fire was causing us a lot of trouble, so I asked it to cease fire. The Zehel's ship was seriously damaged. I hope Bishop is allright.

Mayers out.
