RE: Guild's Private Archives - Gas Miners Guild - 09-07-2014 ![]() Guild News Broadcasting Group Konnichiwa brothers and sisters of the Guild! The GNBG are proud to bring the members of this glorious Guild their latest news! Today, I have the honor of announcing the rise of a new Commander of our glorious Paramilitary Division. Taruko Ishibashi, already a santou kaisa (Lt-Commander) of the Paramilitary branch, have proved once and again to be worthy the esteem and respect of her comrades in arms. Her work has not passed the Guild Masters or the Commander Kako Shimakaze unnoticed either, and after great consideration, Commander Shimakaze has agreed to step down from the illustrious rank of Commander, effectively allowing Taruko Ishibashi to fill his previous role. The spot left behind Shimakaze will not be an easy job to fill, but we're all confident in Ishibashi's proven abilities of commanding the Guild's Paramilitary. Kako Shimakaze has yet to decide whether to retire from the Guild after his stellar and spotless career, or to remain with the Board of Executives, as a well-deserving new Guild Master. In celebration of our new Commander, Guild Master Taro Katsuo has announced a great feast at Shuri Base, inviting all members of the Paramilitary and Commerce Divisions. This one, ladies and gentlemen, is not something we should miss out on! ![]() RE: Guild's Private Archives - Derkylos - 09-18-2014 17:48 SMT, Omicron Beta. Mai Suma sat very still in the small cockpit of the Garanchou that was all that stood between her and the swirling, corrosive gases of the Omicron Beta Edge Nebula. It had taken nearly all of the ship's power as well as a considerable amount of technical expertise to transmit the distress signal, she could only hope it had reached the Guild, and that they still operated under the policy of not abandoning their pilots. Shifting around to get into a more comfortable position, she was reflecting on the better ergonomic modifications installed in the new line of Guild ships, when the Garanchou's communication array picked up a new transmission: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Emboldened by the proximity of rescue, Mai opened a communications channel, draining yet more power from the already dwindling plant ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Jumping through, several minor sub-systems finally gave up and ceased working. Alarms sounded and the console lit up like a christmas tree, but Mai had no time to assess the damage, Outcast ships were pouring through the jump hole after them ![]() Not needing any more encouragement, Mai set course for Ogashawa and home. As they crossed the open space between the Donryu and Hiryu clouds, Mai quickly donned an EVA suit, making the cramped cockpit even tighter, but she knew she was going to need all the power she could get for the final run. Reconnecting the life support batteries to the engines, she finally closed down the automated air recyclers and prepared for the inevitable. As the ships entered the Hiryu Cloud, the Outcast attacks on the freighter intensified. If they couldn't have the ship and her contents, they damn sure weren't letting the miners claim her. Finally, one well-placed blast dropped the freighters' shields, and Mai diverted all remaining power to the engines, aiming straight at the middle of one of the gas miner's landing bays. Ogashawa control had been monitoring the flight paths of the Guild Paramilitary wing since their departure, some 30 minutes ago ![]() and had registered the scanner signal as mission critical after being relayed the data by the Guild flight leader. Upon it's entry into the Hiryu cloud, the docking computers had begun calculations of probable flight paths and entry vectors. All non-essential personnel had been temporarily evacuated deeper into the station to prevent unnecessary casualties in the worst case scenario. as the badly battered freighter finally aligned towards one of the prepared landing bays, emergency repair and medical staff rushed to their ready positions. The massive airtight doors swung open, and dampening fields, comprised of interlocking tractor beams were turned on. Fire suppression and emergency repair crews were also deployed with easy access to the sections of the station in the projected flight path of the wreckage, should the initial retrieval system fail. As the engines finally spluttered to a halt, and the remains of the freighter hurtled towards the open dock, one of the Outcast pilots, throwing caution to the wind, broke from the fur ball and dove straight for the oxygen-leaking wreck. Particle blasts slammed into the unprotected hull just behind the cockpit, and with a slow, tortuous grinding sound, the entire cargo section of the freighter tore free. The cockpit, mercifully intact, shot straight into the hangar bay, and skidded across the deck, finally coming to a stop just under the bay control room windows. Meanwhile, the remaining half of the ship bounced off one of the hangar doors and drifted away into space. Emergency crews rushed towards the remains of the once-proud ship, as the hangar doors swung shut, closing out the fierce engagement that was still raging in the space around the miner. Mai collapsed down into the seat, as the final light on the control panel blinked out. Her final thought before lapsing into blissful unconsciousness was that she had made it, she was home. That was all that truly mattered. When the rescue crews cut their way inside to Mai's unconscious form, they found they had to pry her fingers from their death-grip on the ship's joystick in order to lift her out. Rumors about the dogged freighter pilot's identity were soon making their rounds of the station corridors, with a few of the Guild's old timers sharing exaggerated stories of how she once destroyed an entire Outcast capitol fleet single-handedly, while exchanging knowing glances with each other. She may have been missing, but she was not entirely forgotten... I met a Junker in Sigma-13 with Cardamine. When I asked him to drop it and pay the fine, he refused. So I blasted him. I decided to chill in Sigma-19 today. We found a convoy of Junkers, including a Junkers Congressman, hauling Cardamine through Sigma-19. I rendezvous with Ms. Ishibashi. We interrogated them and asked them to drop their cargo, in which they tried to bite around the bush, as well as threaten us. Eventually, after they persistently tried to refuse, we blew them up. RE: Guild's Private Archives - OldTimerAL - 09-21-2014 :INCOMING INTERNAL TRANSMISSION: :USER ID: Nishimura of the GTS-Yamashiro: :HIGHEST PRIORITY: Konnichiwa brothers ... I am Isao Nishimura of the "Yamashiro" ... since the olden days of the Guild I have been a captain of many a vessels in our Guild, yet something like today I have rarely if ever encountered ... ![]() On my way back to Guild space from Kusari, I encountered several hostile vessels in Okinawa about 7K from the gate to Honshu that seemed pleased to see a Guild vessel unfortunately ... At first it was Antares of the Argo ... that one was a true mystery, my scanners couldn't pick up any identifying traits about the ship or weaponry ... he kept on babbling about sending a message to us for hitting scrap haulers and demanded 10 million credits for whatever reason ... but soon vanished when another arrived :mutters about cloaking technology: The second immidiate encounter was ... let's simply say a shock for me ... a Jaguar Noir, bomber class vessel, under the name of Bernard.Picard ... a true Unione Corse if my ships scanners are to be believed ... and he picked up where Antares left off ... about crimes against the Junkers, and about a bounty they seem to have on us ... I believe he spoke of US as a Guild, not the Yamashiro or any other single vessel ... Picard was joined by two others that were in gunboat class vessels if an eye witness aboard my ships is correct Wreck.It.Bob and HawkDraconls.... during my little chat with these three :mutters something under his breath: it became obvious that the leader amongst them was Wreck.It.Bob and that he is the one who wishes us dead and to impress upon us how much the Junkers just hate us :chuckles: They opened fire upon the Yamashiro in Okinawa, lowering the shield multiple times as we returned fire and managed to jump to Honshu, unfortunately these foul dogs gave chase ... The hull was breached and fires started on multiple levels, the cargo that was meant for Fujisawa was lost in an attempt to increase what little speed we had due to an engine failure ... The Yamashiro was almost completely destroyed near the Okinawa gate in Honshu, it's currently undergoing major repairs ... There is much left unexplained as to why exactly this attack occurred, it was no simply piracy, it was an act of revenge! Someone owes an explanation for it, I have several crew members in the infirmary right now, and a couple that probably won't live to see another gas cloud ... :mutters about young miners who forget to wear protective gear: I am having my best specialist scrub the Yamashiro's logs and cams to collect any and all data regarding this event and I shall have them sent asap ... Sayonara for now! ::TRANSMISSION ENDS:

I seldom bring good news and this time will be no different ... I have received a complete report of the damage from the earlier attack on the Yamashiro.... the ship will not be seeing space anytime soon ....it is a good thing that I have several vessels in my fleet that will continue the distribution of cargo and routes that the Yamashiro must leave for now ... As I mentioned in my earlier transmission, several of my crew members had been injured, but the medics managed a miracle and most of them shall make a full recovery, several too heavily injured to fly again, but alive ... unfortunately we have lost two of ours: Korekiyo Takishita and Taniko Matsushina ... may they forever be remembered :nothing is heard over the transmission for a minute and then finally a man sighs wearily: My men have worked hard and they've come up with footage from the encounter that will make the situation visible to all... the same will be uploaded once the transmission ends And with that I bid you farewell for now Guild members, may gas and cloud be always on your side! :TRANSMISSION ENDS: :INCOMING DATA PACKAGE: 1. RE: Guild's Private Archives - Derkylos - 09-26-2014 Transmission from: Kou Yamato, captain, Wakkanai. Members of the Guild. Today was the first outing of the Wakkanai in her reconfiguration as a mining platform. Utilising the improved equipment, and the skilled application of labour by the crew, the resulting yield was impressive, and we rapidly collected nearly three-thousand units of He-3, which were unloaded at Fuxyueru Trade Hub, in preparation for distribution. No hostiles of any kind were encountered, and the entire operation went smoothly. All in all, this was a most successful shakedown cruise, and I expect the Wakkanai to become a valuable asset to the Guild. Yamato out. RE: Guild's Private Archives - OldTimerAL - 09-29-2014 :INCOMING INTERNAL TRANSMISSION: :USER ID: Isao Nishimura: :HIGHEST PRIORITY: Konnichiwa Guild members, Isao Nishimura here.... Recently the GTS-Yamashiro was repaired and entered service once more, our first route was one we all painfully well know ... fresh preciously mined Helium-3 to the House of Liberty ... Headin there all was well, the new engines performed remarkably and the ship held perfectly through several debris fields ... the new crew members have been broken in, they're already falling in love with the gassiness of the business, I must say I am quite proud with the younger generations that the Guild has produced ... On our way back we passed through Kusari.... almost reaching the New Tokyo jump gate in Shikoku via trade lanes we passed a very interesting site: two Junker affiliated bombers that were partying near the lane, unfortunately for them we managed to pass their ring just as they collapsed it and thus we made the jump to New Tokyo undeterred ... if memory serves us right one was called: The.Bullhound and the other Rusty.Junk On entry in the New Tokyo system the two junkyard bound roaches followed us and attempted to collapse the first ring .... and failed, again ... they gave chase but the planetary defenses and a automated patrol made them flee ... Afterwards we made for the Honshu system, but just as we entered Honshu space we stumbled upon one of the junkerlings... thus began the "real" conversation, if anyone can believe it The.Bullhound demaned the whole cargo hold of the Yamashiro which was bound for Guild space, as I attempted to reason with him for there was no way the Yamashiro would lose it's load on the first return route, a nearby friendly Universal vessel named Magnus.M.Trenton opened fire with all it's turrets upon the scrap rat who then fired upon the Yamashiro ... the Universal vessel held the Junker off enough so we could make our way back to New Tokyo space, we are not sure if the Junker made to follow us or not The Yamashiro is currently docked in New Tokyo space undergoing some diagnostics, just to make sure that the fired Nova torpedo did no damage ... we shall soon be making haste for Guild space ... Unfortunately the recorders on the Yamashiro did not manage to capture the second Junker vessel, but the first one is nicely shown ... 1. The.Bullhound vs New Tokyo planetary defense 2. New Tokyo planetary defense: 1 ... The.Bullhound: 0 3. Speedy one, a second after he saw me, must be quite the popular with the junkerladies. 4. The logic is strong with this one. 5. Yamashiro's shield at it's best.
