It repents new people from server. If Disco wants to become closed elitist oldfag-only society - this is the way to go, certainly.

Well, I guess it's time to do my old closed-economy thing.

Maybe we should have done it earlier then before it got common to call everyone a ***, no? Don't like it anymore? Deal with it. No one forces you to stay here.

And having to trade up certainly doesn't keep players from joining the server, otherwise there would be more players on DoD.

(2cent, take two: let people mine in fighters, remove Hegemons)

In other news,

Quote:I started in Disco as the looser in a starflier back when mining didn't exist.

I did missions.
Then I got a rhino.
Then I did trading.
Then I got a camara.
Then I did more trading.
Then I got my fighter. I felt accomplished as I actually spend time earning my first elite fighter.

People started on Earth as the losers (ONE O!) in furs back when industry didn't exist.

DOWN WITH TECHNOLOGY! OUR ANCESTORS DIDN'T NEED IT!

I really think that when you kill somebody with a stone you feel more accoplished than using a gun because you spend more time doing it.

And what about factions who depend upon this stuff for RP purposes. Should they just "leave" too?

I can deal with almost anything - other people can`t. And, without new bood, communities tend to die, you know? You can read about it in, like, any psychology textbook out there.

Okay, the IMG - Independent MINING Guild, sits near Hood in Dublin and whatever we did before when there was no high time of trouble (namely: mining, scouting the fields, protecting mining ops in the field, organising haulers, escorting haulers) has died.

So now we are IG, Independent Guild, whit exactly no reason to exist and nothing to do.

Thank you.

I only invested abou 200 h into opening an alternative to the T23 mess to IMG and now you shut it down, rendering everything useless.

I am really angry and I regret having gone ingame today. The frustration is larger than I had expected because the consequences for my gameplay are much more severe than expected.

Again: Well done.

Keep sarcasm if you find it.

When I started to play this version of mod (my money macking in 4.84 was like funny show), I earned for all ships from Falcon to OC dredadnought only by missions and trading, no mining at all. Yeah, with all things, like " Im tired from that trading man!!!!" it took long time, but when you have a appointed goal, and you are trying to reach it. Mining gaves fast money up, and some players, when they reached cruiser not evaluate it. They may do some risks by bracking rules, and they know, that got 220 mils with mining- one or two days job... When you spend lots of time and forces (more than you would be mining) you wont be risking with your char bracking rules.

But on the other hand, I understand players who spended lots of money into mining, making good system to mine and transfern ore, like me, now our mining ships is just big, fat, weak, useless, flying pice of metal... After lots of ore runs to Kusari, my transport got hostail reputation with Bretonians, without any kills of their allies or themselfs, now need to repair reputation for trade runs. Quet sad this everything....:(

I dunno, may be its a good idea- now we have 0 bonus lvl, admins could increas it till 25-40% and icreas selling price. For example: I was getting from 5000 ore- 50millions, with new bonuses lvl from 5000 ore about 60-70 millions, but much more time need to spended when you are mining. That my idea, pleas dont trow tomatos into me!

Suggestions have been made. In case you are not aware I'll give you a hint: Selling locations of most metals have been reduced to those stations owned by the factions responsible for mining it.

Only because you keep doomsaying it would scare off people doesn't mean it actually will happen.

Your company mines gold? Fine, haul gold to all the corners of Sirius and you'll get your RP. The same goes for silver, diamonds, niobium, etc.
