Reporting:
Crew opted for a late Christmas trade run (shore leave for some of the crew from dublin planned). We were just about to enter the trade lane to the New London jump gate when two cruisers both aligned with the corsairs came out of the gate. Before my comm officer could begin hailing the two vessels opened fire. My comm relayed a cease fire message to the vessels but these were ignored.
Our ship was heavily damaged (OOC: blew me up twice) and we were forced to return planetside for repairs.
Cruisers id'd as: SiD and Lauberge
Vessels should be considered hostile, in this officers opinion.

Ship repaired after last combat with the Phantoms.
She was a self powered wreck after that battle. Going against 4 enemy capships in dribs and drabs is not a good way to go about things in my opinion, although we gave a reasonable amount of damage back.
Accidental crossover left friendly fire damage on Sierra as Repulse was dishing out damage to an enemy battleship. Disorganised and chaotic was the best way to describe our attack pattern.
Moved to Tau 31 today to fight back a Kusari incursion force.
Gunboat Lauberge was asked to release Bretonian pilots in Leeds but ran. Not pursued through Dublin jumphole.
Kusari forces were turned back and dealt a serious blow.
Also received information that Archangel is now fitted with containment fields and licensed to carry Nomads.
Word is in that new Fighter and bomber patrols are being activated in Cambridge system.

The Pirate vessel evil_chucky was vaporised for acts of piracy and terrorism. the pilot taken into custody. All captured personel were returned to cambridge for medical treatment. evil_chuckys brother, chuckster was kind enough to pay damages incured and bail his brother out.
While in cambridge chuckster paid off his fleets Nomad Containment units.

No, freelance pirates and smugglers must be requested to surrender their cargo or leave system before attacking. Even if acting to assist the SF, policing ships can not KOS freelance pirates (server rules).
BTW, [F.E.A.R.] I highly recommend posting a faction status page to explain what you're about. Think you had one before that has gotten burried.

While outfitting new bomber in Omega-49, encountered the ship Lauberge, a corsair dreadnaught, who opened fire without warning or provocation (left the planet and he blew me out of the sky). heavy damage was sustained, but I managed to make it out of the system and the crew of the Battleship Essex were kind enough to take me in and are currently working feverishly to repair our little gift from the rhinlanders.
Given recent acts of unwarranted aggression, I would advise that sf personel exercise severe caution when encountering the Lauberge.

Advise...did you undocked before he commenced fire, or did he fire while undocking? Given apparent hostility, target will be considered a wanted criminal in Cambridge for acts of terrorism. Detain or kill, but follow server regs in communicating intentions prior to attacking since he's a freelance pilot and not faction.

Have made SiD, Lauberge and Hammer wanted criminals by the SF. Here's what that means...these players have openly attacked SF members and are to be treated as hostile. The intent is not a witch hunt or harassment, if that occurs I will remove the player's name from the list. But these players have demonstrated the desire to fight the SF, so feel free to fight back. Communicate before attacking since they are freelance pilots and not tied to any player faction, communication can be in terms of attempts to arrest them. An arrest (ie criminal surrenders to SF personnel) is another way to also be removed off this list (ie. to become neutral again). Updates done accordingly to faction status page.
