What about just buffing the damage for Starkillers and Sunslayers so they are somewhere in-between Snac and Nova damage, but keep the other stats the same?

I approve, however the Starkiller might get a bit more speed too. 17 k for it and 50k for the Sunslayer would do the job.

First of all, I think fighter torpedoes (Starkiller) are fine.

I am also fine with them being buffed in damage output or, as Ybers suggested, making them un-explodable by CDs.
Both ways it makes the Torpedoes more "noob" or beginners friendly and gives them a more reasonable place in pvp.

At the moment, though, I think the biggest problem with Torpedoes, for players, is that hardly anyone ever trained with them or used them in pvp to a degree at which they become handy for the user.
It makes them appear useless even though they really arent: They ...

- still fly at 280m/s or so, when fired at top speed
- do 11k damage (Starkiller) while still having 70 ammo (CB with 13k dmg has 25)

My conclusion: Starkillers can make the difference in a fight just like missiles do.
