Lemme guess... it's still a month before semester starts?

Look, I'm not saying you're wrong, but it's all relative. Not everyone has the luxury of spending 8 hours a day grinding. I have maybe 1 hour per day max, and a few more on weekends, and I'd like to spend that precious time actually playing and enjoying all the features and RP Disco has to offer. Instead of just grinding for cash and rep to get there.

I mean, I don't expect to be the biggest bada** in command of his own planet smashing cap. But I would like to get into something larger than a CSV.

And yet money is too easy to come by? Making some of the modded systems not so ludicrously large would make more sense; but in all honesty, 350-400 m/s is a good balance. Especially in asteroid fields.

Actually its exam time, it means I probably have less time to play then 90% of people around here during these times, and yet I find it too easy.
I tried to see it from begginer prespective.
1. If you're completly new - restart begginer, mine helium, in an hour, hour thirty you'll have 1000k trader, 1-2 hours more you get 3k trader. So even if you don't really have time, its pretty easy to get some money.
2. If you're beggining from start but you're not new - same steps only you know better routes, so makes money even easier to come by
2.1.I made restart corsair it took me 3 hours of total gameplay to equip it. Half of hour till I pirated ~3mils to buy titan and equipment + 2 hours of bit serious piracy to get to the armor. And mind you, being armorless didn't made much difference for my RP experience.

Boring doesn't make it hard. But you're right, its a good balance in asteroid fields, and buffing it would take some magic from trade lanes as well and focus from more important things. And alot of rebalance, so its not worth it.

I'm sorry but its your problem you don't think that trading for money = RP. I enjoyed RP-ing my smugglers as much as I did of my snubs and rare caps I had. When I joined the server 2-3 years ago I remember I was flying around NY and Order came and started their propaganda, I asked a guy how does one join, then he took me to their system and helped out with missions and told me to apply. That whole process from me being someone in NY then going on an adventure was magical to me back then, restart took that away from players. Also you could see alot of people around main systems (such as NY,NL,Gamma,Alpha) that would meet trough this doing missions for rep to later on fly and respect each other because they met and worked together.

@Hawk, Spud

I'm sorry, I don't have skills or knowledge to make my own mod. I really wish I had time to learn, but since I have interest in games I very much could get on it once I finish my uni studies. Otherwise I can just give feedback and ideas, and if big portion of people agree on them they could change, if not I'll go with what majority wants.

I'll never forget how some people were threatened to be expeled from faction if they continued to RP with person leaders didn't like. And this came from well respected RP-ers. Yep, happened more then once around 4.85.

Now, just so people wouldn't think this is one of those hate posts I'll add off topic part.
This is what I like about disco.
- I love the fact what devs did to enhance my RP experience in terms of gameplay, ships, equipment, balance, economy, systems,bases
- I love the fact RP is main part of the game and we as players have impact on gameplay and fates of the other characters
- I love the fact there are so much people still loving this game and playing it together
- I love the fact players have about 500 books material of stories on forum
- ability to choose a role, ability to create something completly new and implement it in the mod
- cloacking devices, docking modules which we wanted for so long and had only in theory some time ago
- all the tactics and manuvers invented for PvP fights
- nerfing NPC's so they don't get in the way of P2P interaction

I could go on, as there are many great things and I'm really glad people still care for this game,there are a lot more good things than bad things, but this is just one of those "Share what you think its wrong, and we'll tell you if it could change or how would it affect things and thats why it shouldn't change" threads.

@Bunch mentioning the lag

It's a temp problem gents which will be solved what I gathered so far from devs, I wouldn't list it in "wrong with the mod" group, just a temp problem in beta phase.
