RE: Freighters brainstorming -- How could we make them viable? - Highland Laddie - 03-27-2014 I used an Anki equipped with 3 c-ball missles and purple goddesses as an effective PvP ship, while still remaining very killable by skilled VHF and Bomber pilots. But I could also pirate in it as well, as the missles combined with Screamer mines was an effective way to hurt transports and compel them to stop. Since freighters and missles got re-worked in .87, it is now effectively a fairly useless ship for anything other than docking on Leeds at the smuggle point. At least, more smuggling dock points on lawful planets with higher smuggle sell points would give freighters more purpose and incentive to be used without having to change any ship stats. |
