Put it this way, I have seen a Liberty Dreadnought flown by a real person 4 times. Not including mine.

I myself have gotten mine out 3 times in total.

Thats in almost a year....

Oi vay... I make this, go to sleep, and come back to four pages. O.O

No other thread of mine has gotten this much attention. :P

Quote: 5. This has absolutely no effect on anything.

True, its just a request.

Quote: *ten different ramblings about the LN not having caps on ever*

Okay... I'm just usually on and see at least a cruiser or two GBs. Sometimes a Dread accompanying them. Hardly ever see fighters, but I guess I'm just on at the wrong times.

Quote: I couldn't care less about this so called "community" that stabs each other in the back at every given chance, people on these forums are frankly childish and petty.

Then maybe you shouldn't be here? It's called a Gaming Community (DiscoGC FTW!) and if you're just here for yourself then... Play... Tribal Wars? I don't know, but all I do know in this regard is that for the most part people here like everybody else. People here have lovely civilized discussions about issues (or try). If you say, "Screw the community, I wanna pwn nubs as teh LN and completely ignore the other 200 players' aspect of fun" then again, maybe this isn't the place for you.

Quote: *ten more different outlooks on the "Need to know" basis*

Yes. I understand the need-to-know basis. However, like has already been said, you can't have a need-to-know basis on a game like this. Or at least without forum RP. If there's some RP in the forums about you guys meeting in black hooded robes chanting,

"Sacro sanctuse do mi nae, heed the word of Plato thy eyes inside of thy enemy! Thou shalt not speak during the ceremony, thou shalt not doubt thy informant thy Plato, thou shalt not speak unless spoken to, Aaaaammen."

I'm fine with that. As long as there is proof of this SOMEWHERE. Cray killed the guy for disobeying HIS order. So when he's trying to make a drug bust and you're like, "Hey... Hey guy. You umm... You don't wanna do that, you know? He's like... Not to messed with, man. Or... Or else, you know?!" It's just not fair to Cray or whomever else should fall into a similar set of circumstances. Plus it makes you look like you're on the orange. Or purple... Depending on its form.

Finally, I'll bring to light the recent events in the JG feedback thread. When we were barraged by four pages of "You can't do that" we didn't over-react. We took everybody's suggestions to heart and completely altered ourselves. I find it really disconcerting that when I make some suggestions/queries/state problems that I see (one of which is probably just bad timing) I get, "WTF MAGOO?! STFUGTFO!" by... Two or three of the members. If one of the JG flipped out, you guys would have probably judged a majority of us, so how is it fair that we can't do that same?

Adieu.

I too have hardly ever seen actual SA/LN caps online. the only ones i do see on occasion is the Niagra Falls, the Citadelle De Qubec the Thunder Bay and Gafwmn. The only ones I see reguarly are the Falls and Gafwmn in Alaska. I think the LN is doing a decent job of keeping their faction affiliated caps out. It is the Indies parading around in their caps that cause a problem. And I am NOT by ANY means bashing all Indies, I play mostly Indies, It just seems that alot of the Indies (not all of them) are immature and are only interested in being 1337 Cap PWNZORS.

' Wrote:Liberty Navy capitals are very rarely online, I know this for a fact. They come online to counter other threats and 99% of the time for no other reason.

Actually I wonder if this could be part of the problem about navy capships being considered capwhores all the time.

Think about it, the only time people ever see LN capships is when they are out killing everything. You almost never see them RPing and doing day to day routines. After combat they don't just disappear.

We all know the capships exist but the only RP we see of them consists of pvp.

Could NOT using the capships much be in fact having a reverse reaction to the attempts to not have them seen as Capwhores? I wonder....

Now that is an interesting concept you got there.

I fly my LN char quite a lot, I only have a guardian, and I like it. Its fun, I always have something to do. I frequently see other LN officers online, infact nearly every time I log on there are at least 2 others there as well. The LN is active and present.

Caps are -very- rarely and I have yet to see them be abused as they potentialy could be. There are a lot of them, but the Liberty navy would be big. Just look at the NPC battleship and cruiser patrols seen so frequently planetdiving manhattan.

The problem with Liberty is when the other side brings their own capships in large numbers. The LN have access to only a single type of bomber which could be quite accurately described as below average, and when the LN online are outnumbered by hacker/rogue GBs and OC dessies (among others, and it happens quite often recently), I find it perfectly acceptable to man a battleship with fighter/bomber support and scare off the incoming invasion, and it's exactly what the invading unlawfuls should expect.

@ Blodo, I agree whole heartly. However when given the choice, fighters come first.

Blodo knows! We once fought off the unlawfuls for 3 hours in NY only.
Fight at WP, over. Fight at Cali JG, over. Fight at FB, over. Etc etc.
Usually those are all capital ships (rogue GB's and OC dessie spammage especially).
Usually most of them do re-engage a few times.

And if a Pirate dares to go near Manhattan, I would pull not a dreadnot, but 10 dread's and 5 carriers on him, just so he realizes that he's doing it wrong.
For that aspect of this thread I have no complaints on LN.

I'v stated my concerns and they were discussed.

This was just to confirm some previous statements about unlawfuls in Liberty!

People just for the record if it doesn't have [LN] in the name it is not LN, it is an indie LNS, seems a lot of people are confusing our faction with the indies. And that's where the cap whorage issues comes from.

As for that, the fact that I don't care about the community does not mean I don't care about LN and its reputation, LN, along the Keepers are the only two things keeping me here, and a few people I respect, though that number tends to grow from time to time, there are definitely many individuals who's opinion I prefer to ignore. A community that spawns 10+ flame posts a day on many different topics is hardly a community, its a group of people connected by a loose thread. Why do you think so many people leave because of frustration? Heh. Anyway, I don't meddle in business of other factions, and that's what makes my opinion of not giving a crap about the community, a relatively positive one in my opinion, I'll take care of my own, rest is not important.
