Question for Igiss - Seth Karlo - 09-24-2008 Ok, you DON'T need to be a developer to post here. There are developers forums that most people don't have access to, if it was something for develepors only, then it would be there. And on topic: Just have your character grow up a little? Question for Igiss - Tenacity - 09-24-2008 ' Wrote:Ok, you DON'T need to be a developer to post here. growing up "a little" isnt a problem, a year or two I wont have an issue with. But how much my characters "grow up" is all dependent on how many years pass between now and 4.85. That's what I'm trying to figure out here =P Question for Igiss - sovereign - 09-24-2008 I recall hearing somewhere that the timeline advances a year or a year and a half each mod version. It's certainly not something drastic, that would be rather dramatic as you've said. My Wild is already forty-something, and for a military fighter pilot you really do start to slow down... although having a Nomad Incubus inside you helps mitigate that a bit. Still, all kinds of stories depend on event sequences that don't take up all that much time, including that of said Wild, and I'm sure that Igiss would not knowingly hose half the RP forum. Question for Igiss - jammi - 09-24-2008 If it's ten years Andrew Maloney is dead:PAnd I thought it was 816 A.S.? That's what it says in the readme. @Old_Steel, talking about the Galian systems isn't spreading innapropriate information: Igiss himself has already released some details, including the ones about how the fully formed systems came about. Question for Igiss - Igiss - 09-24-2008 Okay: new version will be set 300 years in future, therefore we'll wipe all characters except for the Nomads. Then we'll place nomad players in NY and see who will make it out of there. And no, they didn't find a way to improve the Starflier during all those years. Question for Igiss - Linkus - 09-24-2008 Huzzah! Wave upon wave of Starfleas will attack the hordes of Nomads and die with glory! In regards to the mini patching I meant an ini change say, every week or so. New news, rumours etc. Or even a possible addition of new ships (If they are made of course) in a steady fashion (IE not an entire shipline being replaced in one go but a fighter being introduced..followed weeks after by a bomber etc etc.) An Auto-updator would solve any download issues.. Question for Igiss - J-Kent - 09-24-2008 Im all for both ideas. Just so long as the first week we get a capwhoreable super-light-fast-mega-battle-assault-carrier-frigate to attack the NY nomads with. In all seriousness, a system for autoupdating would really open possibilites.... like watching those under construction lanes and gates slowly get closer to completion, or letting players more closely influence the wars... Question for Igiss - Generation - 09-25-2008 Igiss makes me laugh...... I better learn to hack and superfy the starflea's shields.... not weapons just shields:). Question for Igiss - bluntpencil2001 - 09-25-2008 Generally, if we look at what has happened before, the mod advances one year per version. |
