Localised anti-gravity technology does exist in the Freelancer universe, and by extension it's safe to assume that most if not all space stations have some sort of 'gravity plating' which keeps the station's interior experiencing a gravitational force pulling 'downwards'. This would avoid gravitational stress on the structure itself.

@Lonely_Ghost
Your idea I could see working with a sphere..... and if it is just 2 giant domes stuck to each other... the minute you place programing inside then it will start getting complicated.I mean,... unless you could have all the forces move downwards and non to the side then it could work.... but sadly there will be moment to consider and forces pushing outward.
So your idea if making all forces equal by making mirrored forces on the oposite side is interesting.... though i have issues with it...

@Echo

yeah but that is like the [replacing word] <kitty> way out of the problem.
Adding gravitational plating like in deadspace just hurts my mind .... becasue there is also the fact that if there is no gravity then the only think holding the structure together are the connections of the members.... and err... i dunno....

Still a valid point in terms of disco. If I cant think of anything then ill jump to this method and quote you on it too Wink
