Nice fight! Pretty tense on the snub side.
We need a lot better communication on the Sair side.
Outcast know how to do it with ~10 people on Teamspeak. That's how you do it. That's how you react to changing situations.

Nice fight out there. Pity I had all sairs on my backside that wanted me down.
Anyway, I held out good. But got pewed anyway.

That fight could have easily been summed up as a brief amount of enjoyment rapidly turned into an excruciatingly drawn out slugfest that went on for far far longer than it should have.

Either way, thanks everyone for showing up.

Pile everything on the XTF then make the fight fair. T_T
Jk jk, good show. Kudos for the event.

I do not understand the attitude, seriously.
As you know, I was in the OC TS after I got blued and I was surprised on how negative the whole mood was.
And that only because it was taking longer?
Many of those who complained loudest were not even fighting, but sitting there in caps.

There were times, when larger snub fights lasted 1+ hours every single time.
Good, large fights actually had to last that long to be considered good.

What I ask myself is: why so much negativity?
If your hand hurts and you think it is no fun, then just fly away and log off.
If you feel like you are being forced to do something that you absolutely hate (because it for sure sounded like this on TS), then don't do it.
You are not chained to the keyboard.

I mean, what do you prefer?
A "roll over everything in 3 min and log off content afterwards"? That sure sounds like fun. <irony>
Or, like suggested so often, to break the event rules and rush the Solaris caps in when your team decided that "it is enough". It did not happen, but the amount of "I really want to end it now!" was so dominant in the talk.

I have trouble understanding the negative, destructive mood that aimed at ending the event and the attitude on the OC channel and it is kind of telling that the OC kudos is snarky, watered down or non-existant, while Corsairs (who lost both events) actually think of it as a good fight and a successful event.

Will you upload, Scourge? If yes, please leave the audio in.
Or listen to it again, at least.
I think faction leaders could promote a different mood.

For the last time, Jack. The reason why we were upset was not the length of the fight, but the Centurions. Flying in Kusari usually I am used to long snubfights, but at least there you can hit something. It was neither fun nor enjoyable for any of the outcast snubs. Don't blame scourge for us not enjoying the fight, because it was not enjoyable.

Seriously? I don't think there is a reason for the outcast side to be upset since they all flew Carabela's or Rapiers. I know they are used to destroying a Titan in a minute or so, but the Centurions brought balance and gave the outcasts a piece of their own medicine, sort of speak.

Also, the long duration of the fight only shows the fight was actually well balanced, or at least better balanced than others. There is no need to be upset about it, really.

No, because I have better things to do with my bandwidth than upload 2 hour recording with absolutely nothing happening for 95% of it-- that doesn't make for a good video, nor is it one that anyone will watch to completion

I can't wait to pull this quote out next time I hear a complaint about a Tau fight when there's copious basehugging again. The matter is simple; we weren't having fun. Overall the event was a success and I'm sure most my guys would be down for another, if the events that transpired yesterday weren't repeated verbatim.

I held the cap's fire to prevent the whining and to try to show respect for Calvius's event, and am now being whined at anyway-- good to know this is the reaction I get from those that are apparently so busy showing less than contempt for myself and my faction members that they can't see past their blatant dislike of said people. I'll keep that in mind the next time.

Oh, also: you have 0 right to complain about a "fair fight" when you all selectively decided to keep the fight "balanced" and pile everything on the XTF the moment the fight starts, kill it, and then decide to back some ships off. That particular brand of unsportsmanship, coupled with the constant shieldrunning, the broken ship usage, the hugging of our caps to avoid taking fire, and the laughable RP of "loldie" as the barest excuse for an engagement message makes every single complaint your side levied at us ring every bit as hallow Jack. It is my usual policy to respond in kind to unsportsmanship but this event we decided to try to be the bigger people-- the result was complaining anyway. This did nothing but confirm my assertion that the only way to reliably handle this behaivour is to give it right back to the perpetrators in turn. Thanks for proving me right.

Anyway, thanks for the event Calvius-- the capfight was fun and if the pitfalls of this one can be avoided and some people's behaivour corrected, we'd certainly be down for another one. Here's hoping your Murmillo escort doesn't lag out next time eh?

Cheers~
