I agree with Mjolnir on the decrease by 20%.
Also, I'd like that capital ships are not pre-packaged with graviton shields, they should be sold without a shield. Even transports, perhaps.

I never even knew Graviton shields were resistant to shield busters... I've just always used them since Vanilla cause it was the first kind of class 10 shield I found.
It's kind of redundant though, isn't it? Having a different class of shield that, under these changes, would be exactly the same as the one I already have wouldn't motivate me to change.
However, if each faction specialized in one or two kinds of weapon types, then I would deffinately mount a different shield to counter Liberty Weapons on my pirates.

This is exactly what it DOESN'T DO.
1. Right now shielbusters rape all except gravitons => mounting anything else than gravitons is mostly suicide, because the different damage done by other guns to shield is very LOW compared with the difference shielbusters make.
2. If shieldbusters do same damage to all shields, the "secondary" damage by hullbusters will make a difference => there will be a reason to mount other shields

I use the Brigade shields you can buy on Crete and Tripoli for my Corsairs' (no idea what shield type they are though) for the sole reason they're more resistant to 'Cast guns. I'd expect the 'Casts to use shields that are more resistant to 'Sair guns, but if they don't... Mwuahah, excellent.
And, why not? Let's make Pulse weapons equal across the board. Make people use their faction's specific shield type.

You might use that shield thinking it will combat OC guns, but most OCs equip Debs anyways. The Wyrms and Krakens are barely touching any shield, while the Debs are raping yours harder than they should be.

I dont know much about modding, but.. If we decrease sheild damage, wouldnt it decrease energy drain too, and that wouldnt be great.
