Reluctantly, Michelle agrees to help and pushes against the stone with her shoulder. She groans and gasps a little as she puts more strain on herself though clenches her teeth and shuts her eyes. The stone gets pushed away and she topples to the floor and gasps finally with a little painful moan. "Noo more rocks... please... we already had to work in the fields today... I'm completely exhausted..." She pleads.

"No more rocks. Thats a promise." "Whats this then.." She opened the box that was uncovered, and found a small radio with a frequency number and a codephrase:
"(Number of people) birds have left the nest. Need wings for flying."

"Shall i hail them?" She looked at Michelle.

"Do what you want... if you think... I'm just too tired..." She groans and leans against the oak tree that they were near and slides down the trunk to sit on it's base.
"Whatever works... I guess...." she mumbles, but in her head she is thinking 'how the hell does this kid have so much energy'.
Her stomach grumbles a little and she sighs. Back at the slave barracks she'd be given slop by now to eat.

She activates the radio, and does exactly as the note prescribed. Not hearing any reply she puts down the microphone of the thing. "Does this have an auto-repla...-- Ah, there." She hits the button and joins Michelle next to the tree.. "And now we wait.." She sighs and shuts her eyes. "Ugh.. All this running makes me tired. Guess your not alone anymore." The light, once so intense that pierced through the holes in the roof of the cafe had gone and made way for the setting darkness of night. "I wonder how long it takes for them to reply." She tilted her head backwards and leaned against the bark of the tree, looking towards the roof of the cave.

Michelle's stomach grumbles again and she shifts a little as she has her eyes closed and tries to get a comfortable spot against the tree.
"I... I wouldn't know... maybe soon..." She groans again and looks to the girl next to her.
"Hey... Linda... I don't remember you from the barracks that much.... which wing were you in.... what was your number?"

RE: Unchained | Invited - Cælumaresh - 06-15-2016

She pushed her back against the tree. "My barrack? It was the second one. I had the neat little number of 2-99." She rubbed on the inner side of her wrist, against the black tattoo that was forced upon her: "II-LXXXXVIIII". "So unless you were also in the second barrack, that would mean you indeed didnt see me much. How about yourself?"

RE: Unchained | Invited - nOmnomnOm - 06-15-2016

"So that's why... I was in the first one..." She pulled her collar of her uniform's shirt down to show a tattooed 'I-XXXVIII' on her collar bone and showed it to her. "Geeze... yours must have hurt... how long did yours sting for?" she asked sympathetically. "Mine hurt... probably for a day or two. I took it, believe it or not, a bit happily..." She looked at the girl and saw her looking at her funny. "Well it was becasue... when the slavers were selling me off... they bidded me first to some guy's wife... until I bit the auctioneer when he grabbed me and tried to drag me off." She smirked. "They threw me down and wanted to whip me for it... but then someone outbid the guy and it was for the plantation... said something about liking how tough I was... So... I took the tattoo as a personal victory. At least I got a little choice... even if just a little..."

"How about you? How'd they get you down here?"

RE: Unchained | Invited - Cælumaresh - 06-15-2016

She giggled at the mention of personal victory. "Seeing how we both ended up i'd hardly call it a victory." She rubbed against her tattood number again. "Mine did hurt a lot, yeah. It stung for about 4 days. Then it turned into some nagging-ish pain." She scoffed thinking about the man tattooing her. "He didnt like tattooing me. I gave him an elbow in the face the second he put that needle in me. They had to restrain me to keep me still!" She chuckled. "As for how i got down here. Now thats a story. As you might've guessed by my accent, I'm from Rheinland. More or less.. I was born in Omega 54, on Wolfsburg Shipyard." She pulled off her hood, finally revealing her face fully. "My parents, Ulfric and Gerda were kind people. Took me with em on several trips across the Omegas and Omicrons. They were smugglers for the Hessians you see. Then one day, as they were hauling a load of stuff from Dresden towards the Tau's, we were ambushed by an Outcast cruiser halfway along Tau-29. They boarded the ship, and shot everyone that even tried to lift a finger to them. Once they had disarmed the crew, they confronted my parents on the bridge. They were looking for 'workers' you see.. Preferably young ones. They wanted me. I was only 7 years old, but I would do, apparantly. Of course, my father resisted this, so he was shot in the stomach." She sniffs once, just thinking back about it. "Then my mother tried to stop them, so they shot her too. Damn basterds." One tear dropped from the eye that wasnt visible to Michelle. "So they took me, and the remaining outcasts strapped the crew to whatever they could find. Once i was aboard their cruiser, they sent in 2 torpedoes, completely destroying the Pilgrim of my parents. Everyone onboard.. D-died." She coughs, trying to mask her onsetting sadness. "They took me to Malta, where I was put on a market, similar to yours. I was sold to the puffed up arrogant son of a.. You know... Our boss. He straightaway put me to work here. 7 years old, forced to work those damn fields of poison. It was not just the work that got to us, but also the physical abuse. I myself was never whipped. They liked to hit me with clubs and their knees and boots. This, and the .. unspeakable things. Only did i see signs of freedom when Juan, a captured Corsair set foot. Led by Carina, a captured bretonian girl, we made a break for it. And yeah, they left me behind here. Not sure why. But thats the story of me, basically."

RE: Unchained | Invited - nOmnomnOm - 06-15-2016

"Gee... and you remember all that..." Michelle sighed again and felt sad as she listened to Linda's story. "Must have been aweful... for that long... seven years old..." She shook her head. "I've... only been here for two... I don't know how I'd... survive that long..." She looks at her again and smiles weakly. "But... we are together now. That's good, right? When... when we get off this dump... maybe we'll go get ourselves a Libertonian Milkshake... or... a big juicy hamburger... Oh man..." Her stomach grumbles again and ponders what she said.

"Now I... understand why you are in such a hurry to leave... you've been here... all your life almost? Th..that's worse than me! <She pauses> H-...how old are you?"

RE: Unchained | Invited - Cælumaresh - 06-15-2016

She snorts once, and looks at Michelle. "Lets stick together yeah. As for your question, im 19 years old. Meaning i have been a 'loyal' servant for 12 years. And yes. I do want to get off this rock. And i dont have any food left, sadly." She sighs and slides down the tree going into a laying posture and yawns. "Damn sniffers". She wipes away another tear, and closes her eyes, in - and exhaling deeply through her nose.
