Weird that a single file doesnt allow you to play it.Happy to help. That file is unique for different installations of Freelancer, thus incomparable. RE: For some reason, i cant play the original freelancer anymore. - n00bl3t - 06-14-2016 In my original Freelancer folder I deleted restart and replaced the Freelancer.exe with a NoCD one to get SP to work. As Discovery copies things over to it's own folder it shouldn't trigger anything. SP was great. I wish it was longer. RE: For some reason, i cant play the original freelancer anymore. - Gunbladelad - 08-03-2016 Long story short, Freelancer checks all the files in the save folder when it's starting up and if it detects anything that's not actually mentionedin a file that doesn't match what's in the files, it'll crash to desktop without explanation. What I tend to do is make sub-folders for each mod (I run a server for the Mostly Harmless mod at weekends) and when I want to play a different mod (or even vanilla Freelancer) I move all the save files (including restart.fl and autosave.fl) from the main freelancer save folder to the relevant sub-folder - and if I want to play a previous save from the other mods (or vanilla) then I move those files from the folder I moved them to previously. Long story short - make sure the save file folder contains no other actual files when you change between mods - folders are OK though as the game doesn't look in them. |
