RE: An Imperial Dream - Albrecht - 05-06-2019 I smoke, Hans said producing and stuffing his pipe to make his point, Mr Mayer I appreciate the reasons you are here and believe me when I say that I have little time for hidden comments, much like yourself sir, I am in favour of blunt and honest remarks. He paused to light his pipe As to my intentions, it is clear to me sir, as it is everyone in this room, that the current state of affairs regarding Rheinland do not do it any favors. The system, as it currently stands, is corrupt, broke and easily ignored. My intent is to see such a sorry state of affairs reversed, but I cannot do that without the support of you and everyone else in this room. The Unioner's crimes aside sir, they have equal right to be upset with the way Rheinland is, as I'm sure you do. He considered his words carefully, not wishing to offend anyone in the room It therefore occurs to me that the best way to..correct such a poor house, is to reform it. That is my intention. I, along with my two brothers are the last descendants of the last Emperor. It seems to me that installing, or reinstalling, an Imperial Government is the best option. A radical option to be sure, but the best and possibly only option left, lest Rheinland destroy itself totally. My intent now is to ask what your position on the matter is. RE: An Imperial Dream - Alpha.Wolf - 05-06-2019 Herr von Albrecht, Admiräle, if you don't mind. Wolfgang nods to the Admirals and the Prinz. I personally consider this as a good reform idea, but in this case my opinion is not as important. He walks up and down, stops right in the middle and looks around. But I don't think this would make sence to be continued, without the Bundespolizei knowing it. I suggest, someone should... Talk to them, if we want to have success with this good reform idea. RE: An Imperial Dream - Republican.Shipping - 05-06-2019 He looks up from writing his document, Listens to Mr Albrecht and Wolfgang. I agree, Rheinland Federal Polizei should be here especially since the new Inspekteur has taken over. Now Mr Albrecht, I do agree that Rheinland is not what it once was. To get it where we need it to be, we need to plan, find common ground and mobilize when the time is right. But saying that, actions speak louder than words. I may be a bit paranoid with this situation that we have here, but hear me out. He leans back in the chair he is seated in. As the Unioners said, we each represent a sizable amount of people in Rheinland. We speak for the people of Rheinland so to speak. Ill be frank, worst case scenario, Bretonia sent you here to gather us all and in one swift move wipe us out so that they could have a puppet ruler in Rheinland to do their bidding. But I dont think Bretonia would even consider that for the following reasons, because Rheinlanders wont just sit by and be controlled again. Not by Nomads, Infectees or by another house. Bretonia wont be able to contain an open revolt which may lead to Rheinland becoming a criminal hotspot which leaves Bretonia having Gallia on one side, and in a sense a war zone on another. So I do feel Bretonias motives are good, and so are yours. My position on this matter is that Republican Shipping supports the Rheinwehr 100%. The day that changes, then something is wrong. So in short, if the Admiral supports this reform, Republican Shipping supports it as well with certain conditions which we can negotiate on. Either now or very soon. As a citizen of Rheinland, my duty is to the betterment of Rheinland. We have a system that will be engulfed with a Dark Matter cloud, refugees needing shelter, an economy that can be much better than what it is now. So if to make Rheinland better we need to reform, then we reform and install and Imperial Government with maybe a possible oversight. We can get into that later. He gets up and walks to Mr Albrecht. Actions speak louder than words, my Prinz. If you want Rheinland to succeed to return to its former glory, where we relied on ourselves, where smugglers and pirates ran in fear at the mere mention of Rheinland Polizei or the Rheinwehr. Then take the first step, take action and sign this document to commit to making Rheinland better. He looks over to the Unioners. You will need to sign here as well if you truely committed and not just here to see where you can benefit. This will align us three to one goal, a small step to a better tomorrow. RE: An Imperial Dream - Albrecht - 05-06-2019 The older man smiled Mister Mayer, I'm afraid I cannot sign anything until all our guests are present. I am expecting the Rheinland Police to make an appearance soon, at which point sir, I will be happy to discuss what it is you want me to sign, but not before, sir. RE: An Imperial Dream - Alpha.Wolf - 05-07-2019 "...And of course Zita, we will have to increase our border patrols due to the aggressive behavior of the Gas criminals…" Kara stopped talking as soon as the Polizisten entered the room. Kara stopped and looked around. "Wow." She looks at the Unioners, then at Herrn Mayer and again at the Unioners. "That doesn't look like a meeting concerning the war to me" Kara chuckles and walks around a bit. As soon as she saw Hanna Wyghtham standing behind Hans Fredrick she started to grin. "Hanna, my dear, your boss said there is no Intelligence agent hier. So lied two times!" She laughed. Then she looked at the smoking man. "Now it seems all people are focusing you hier, although I don't know you." She looks at the Unioners. "And what the hell are the Unioners doing hier? In one room with the business group who are their arch enemies? And to mention the Rheinwehr hier too." She looked at her uncle. "Wolfgang." she nods to him. "But Wolfgang, why, why didn't you just inform me about this meeting? I could have been earlier hier." She shakes her head and turns back to the prince "This explanation will be interesting…" RE: An Imperial Dream - Albrecht - 05-07-2019 By this stage, Hans was getting a little tired of having to repeat himself every two seconds. He could hardly blame the young lady for wanting one, it wasn't her fault she was informed after everyone else. Even so, he was going to have to be quick in his explanation, so as to not drag the whole topic back to the very beginning. You have our apologies for the deception my lady, although I imagine that is the nature of most intelligence agency's. I am Hans Albrecht, and we are, in short, discussing Rheinland. That is to say, Rheinland's problems and what, if anything, could be done about them. The answers are, as you could probably imagine, are complex but we have all seriously considered a return to a monarchy. That, my lady, is the nature of this meeting. It does not seem fair to leave the Rheinland police out, and so we come now to the stage in which you may share your own thoughts on the matter. I apologise for being blunt but time is very short. RE: An Imperial Dream - Alpha.Wolf - 05-07-2019 She chuckles " I can understand you mein lieber, that is probably annoying to tell the whole idea to every arriving person again." She looks over to her uncle "Wolfgang, if you would have five minutes to tell me the rest of what happened, that would be awesome." Wolfgang looked at Mr. Bäke who just nodded. "Ja, Kara, I will introduce you to the plan. Follow me out of the room, bitte." They went out of the room. Five minutes later they entered the room again "So. Wolfgang told me the rest of what has happened before. Danke to invite us, the Polizei to this meeting too, wir fühlen uns geehrt, that you trust in us." Kara goes on with a serious tone. "Nun, this plan you have, prince, it's a big one. I am a fan of your idea, as you probably know my family's background by now, but speaking on behalf of the Rheinland Bundespolizei, we will have our goals that need to be archived. I do want a betterment of Rheinland. my Mitarbeiter and I were confronted by some civilians that we would work for a corrupt government. I have done my research recently and have found out, they were right. This can't go on in the future. If you become the man, who all these people hier want to see you, you will have to get rid of this corruption. There are also too much people, terrorists and pirates from Rheinland and out of Rheinland, who don't show respect to our forces. They'll have to learn the lesson by hard. So what I also wish for is a better Polizei infrastructure. More possibilities for us to operate and especially we need more opportunities where we can train our Kadetten and new tactics we can teach them." She stops and sighs. She looks into the prince's eyes. "These would be the least Forderungen I have. If you want to consider the Bundespolizei in, these, let me call it requirements, if I may, should be hit." She smiles and takes a seat. RE: An Imperial Dream - Bannorn - 05-09-2019 The main door to the corridor slid open to the sound of footsteps rapidly approaching. In the hall itself, the military guards that had been there were gone, replaced by armed guards in sanitized dark grey uniforms, adorned with a simple black eagle on the chest. Dressed in an admirals duty uniform of the Rheinwehr, Reinhard von Ehrenberg paused on the threshold of the room, looking back at the man behind him, as if waiting for a response. His gaze rested on one of the two men accompanying him, Daumann CEO, Erwin Mannlicher. Dressed in an elegant, expensive, slate grey suit Erwin Mannlicher gave the admiral an affirming nod, surveying the room as they entered, followed by the third man, unintrusively dressed in a simple green uniform. It was a unique assembly, to say the least; Mannlicher recognized few enough of the faces, despite the extensive briefings he had reviewed. He found himself naturally moving toward the familiar face of the Republican Shipping executive, noting as he did so that the admiral appeared to have fallen in beside the other ranking Rheinwehr officers. Looking around the room, his gaze lingered for a long moment on von Albrecht, contemplating the man who he had heard so much about in the last few days. Completing his sweep of the room, he cleared his throat to break the silence:"It seems I have arrived just in time, it looks like we're all here, ja?" RE: An Imperial Dream - Albrecht - 05-12-2019 He rolled his eyes, of course everyone shows up after I've explained what we are doing. He sighed and proceeded to greet the new arrival before repeating himself again. Once he did that, he addressed the Police woman. You, like the others, have high expectations that you desire Bretonia to fulfill. I'm sure they could, in fact I'd bet they will. So, let us here all your demands at once, so I know what it is we desire. The Police wish for Bretonian instructors and trainers. Who else has demands of Bretonia? Furthermore, Rheinland's Imperial families...many of you here are from former noble lines. This is also a matter which needs to be discussed. RE: An Imperial Dream - Republican.Shipping - 05-14-2019 From what I would like, Bretonia can't give me, but they could assist in the matter if we can commit to it. Niklas points to his document in front of the prinz. It would be pointless to ask them for assistance until we here decided to take some form of action. I know it is early to bring this matter here now, but this will only go into effect once all is in place. Other than this, my demands can only be met by yourself. As only you will have the power to grant them. |
