@Jure - are you planning on changing it eventually?

when i first started discovery, i presumed the scan range on scanners reffered to the range at which you would be able to see players, then i realised it was the range it adds thing to maps. However i think the first thing is a better idea. i.e. discovery scanner lets you see people from 12k away, and advanced cargo scanner 6k (?) will add more depth to the game i think as you would be able to see people who mght not be able to see you and could then gain an advantage whether you're trying to escape or attack

EDIT: actually you'd have to announce it in RP before you attacked anyway, but for smugglers it would be great as they could avoid lawfuls who would likely use adv. cargo scanners to scan for contraband
