Mercenary IDs were originally banned to prevent people from sticking Krakens on Blood Dragons and the like. Now that everything is supposedly balanced, mismatched gear is less of a concern, however, I would like to retain the restrictions, unless you can provide a very good reason that your exotic loadout exists.
Or you could make another, factionalised fighter just for the tournament...who knows, it may broaden your horisons...
With regards to cap tournaments, I will likely begin accepting applications once this one is done.
