get a computer.
and moreover it comes from the fact that the Pob platforms have open fire + the astroid field,

It's called software limitation. The game isn't made to handle all the polys gurgling on your monitor. The fx itself aren't actually that detrimental in comparison to the mass driver models floating around.

But you already knew this and opted to post regardless.

It was a nice racing event! Thank you AWES for organizing! Also thank you everyone else who was involved!

Players can roleplay-disrupt it by being Police that asks for licenses, Corsairs that ask for a portion of the prize money, etc.

But if anyone goes there just to ruin it with minimal RP engagement or the likes, I will beam them to Omicron Psi.

Who asked you to get involved btw? And what exactly would you expect Gaians, Mollys, Coalition or Corsairs to do with BAF or BHG beyond dropping engagement lines if they had gone there? Not like they wouldn't had gotten ass-whooped by literally everyone involved on the event, cause there was a ton of people there, making your presence and that threat somewhat unnecessary... Maybe these racing events should be made in Connecticut if RP is so inconvenient whenever the situation fits the staff.

Thanks for proving my point, anyhow.

Shoo with the crying. Staff supervision should be the norm, not the exception.

Imagine admins trying to make sure that people don't show up with the sole purpose of ruining an event.
Why is it that people get mad when other people have fun that doesn't involve pvping 24/7 for an hour?
But don't worry, you can no-RP pew people for the other 99% of the week.

Kudos to staff for supervising this event. It was fun.

I'd say it's very much the exception already, not the other way around. But the problem comes when a member of the staff says that you may get bastilled or docked on a nomad system for just showing up and shooting the BAF and BHG that were in place, very much expecting pews to happen and probably no one showed up because of that statement. If that isn't anticlimactic and anti-RP moderation then i dunno what it is.

Ruining the event how exactly? There were several lawfuls in warships in the area, bounty hunters, liners with CAUs and docking modules, gunboats and a plethora of snubs, on top of the POB with a dozen defense modules, Mollys showing up to "f*ck around and finding out" would've gotten deleted pretty easily if they tried to bite off more than they can chew. Also I'd say most of the active server was present on the event, doubt some shenanigans could've gotten enough people around to ruin the even by brute force and numbers, hence why i don't think the staff presence was necessary.

Also it's funny how you consider inRP pvp engagements to be "no-RP pews".

It was a sign up event. You could have signed up and joined the race.

The ID you wanted to play wasnt invited in the way you wanted to.

Deal with it.
Or make your own event.

Well, none of what you're saying is relevant because the supervision was to ensure that the racers get to do their event, not any of the spectators. Nor was any action necessary because most people in this community actually seem to appreciate a good-hearted event and don't want to disrupt it.
You can choose to be angry about some imagined slights that never happened, if you want. Preferably not in the thread of an event though, an event that went really well, genuinely amazingly well considering how complex the setup was.

Then why did @Karst ignored the RM event today that was ruined in Xi?

I feel like a lot of this discussion should be split off and take place in the staff feedback thread instead of this one

Great event over all super stoked with being able to RP with my fellow OS&C
