Kill POBs. Behead POBs. Roundhouse kick a POB into the concrete. Slam dunk a core 1 POB into the trashcan. Crucify POBs. Defecate in a POBs storage. Launch POBs into the sun. Stir fry POBs in a wok. Toss POBs into active volcanoes. Urinate into a POBs gas tank. Judo throw POBs into a wood chipper. Twist POBs docking bays off. Report POBs to the IRS. Karate chop POBs in half. Curb stomp POBs. Trap POBs in quicksand. Crush POBs in the trash compactor. Liquefy POBs in a vat of acid. Eat POBs. Dissect POBs. Stomp POBs with steel toed boots. Cremate POBs in the oven. Lobotomize POBs. Mandatory explosions for POBs. Grind POBs in the garbage disposal. Drown POBs in Antimatter. Vaporize POBs with a ray gun. Kick POBs down the stairs. Feed POBs to nomads. Slice POBs with a katana.

I've owned a pob, supplied a pob, sieged pobs and defended pobs. Honestly this is a welcoming change because a pob can still last a fairly long time and it's not that big of an issue if you find it in a well placed spot. Doing this wear and tear change is a nice change as it encourages people to actually keep pobs up rather than it just lasting forever in ungodly locations for weeks on end.

(Frankly i just get irritated the bases don't get used very much. you're not meant to really run a pob by yourself)

I don't understand how this is a nerf. Stations that are maintained aren't operationally impacted.

Okay, I got it, thanks for the clarification.

Ok then, how the f do i get the crew to die in the first place to receive this buff?

RE: PSA: PoB Wear & Tear Change - Aingar - 04-05-2024

POBs the crew of which is not properly fed is counted as 'uncrewed' for all intents and purposes.

You stop feeding them, they stop repairing. And maintaining the base so it falls apart faster.

The new numbers are:
Quote:Core 1 - 7 days
Core 2 - 10 days
Core 3 - 12 days
Core 4 - 14 days
You could make it increases of 3 days

Core 1 -> 7 Days
Core 2 -> 10 Dats
Core 3 -> 13 Days
Core 4 -> 16 Days

so it could make a sense the numbers and bring just some small more time frame "just in case" ...
