Oh, I find that comment extremely uncomfortable. Isn't roleplay supposed to be something people strive for in the first place? And if people have actually been able to RP their cool "unlawful" ships in house space with no issues. But now can't because you want them all to be illegal? Then, there is a lot of special ships within a few factions that shouldn't be allowed as well. But those I supposed would have been SRP ships.

But, I really don't think that people should be immediately engaged or considered unlawful when piloting a transport, especially if it's FL IDed and carrying legal goods. It should really be up to Roleplay between people and governments. Maybe ask for a license or something?

But whatever. I am not affected directly. But just don't like the sudden change for those that are affected.

"I recommend finding a different ship or a different ID." in other words, you guys don't give a single f about it.

damn, i don't have any of those ships, but i was planning to get some, mainly the l'ane, luckly i waited for this patch, but what about those who have then before? that paid then? that many even had the trouble to make then legal at house space and even paid for the license? not even a single compensation? it is not that a ship now don't shoot the same way it shooted before, or it don't turn the same way. it is a ship you can not longer use it, because if you want to use another id, you had that id since the begining.

but hey .. who i'm to say this right? who cares.

take care all have fun Smile

Could we get Competitor status with Core?
They're a Corporate ID that we hate and are already nodock with, seems logical.

Edit: Also, many thanks for doing this in general. I love the simpler, more liberal ID lines, and all the rephack fixing.

All house lawful players are affected negatively by this - again, Wildkins himself allows L'ane and Pitbulls to have licenses, it's his and staff decision, and he removed the ships from the ID . . . because they have licenses . . . which he himself along with staff members decided they keep! It's like seeing "it says Royalist here - Ima flip Maquis red to that" even though it never meant Bretonia, the cmon man!

These nonsensical changes nobody asked for are really frustrating because they take so much time and back and forth to fix, like seriously - there's only so much time for the game, one wants to explore the story developments instead of wasting time on these errors Sad

@Wildkins Here's my take on the Freelancer issue. What you say makes sense if there were a lot of players running ptrans to avoid being engaged. But currently, it makes no sense. You either run a 5k on a faction that's neutral to most along your route, or you run frigates as a freelancer. Anyone wanting to use a ptrans or even a serenity is not doing it for powertrading reasons.

Supply demand will always be at work here. If there were a lot of ptrans running aroubd in house space, more people would log lawfuls to intercept them.

As for licenses - afaik SEO is currently the only ones registered, and that's only in Rheinland and Liberty, because we did a lot of rp there. There's no way joe schmoe will be able to secure a license just like that. You can also make the requirements more stringent since you have gov oversight.

Imagine taking my 4.3k pirate train (that pretty much nobody used to begin with)

This is abuse of power! I'll sue! (insert coughing fit here)

As someone that plays a fair bit of lawfuls, I usually give freelancers in the l'ane and ptrain the benefit of the doubt the first time I see them. They might be new players and not know the ship is illegal to own, so they get off with a warning and I keep a list of the ones I've seen before. The illegality of the ship itself isn't normally worth the hassle of trying to explain to a relatively new player that might not be aware that the inRP house laws even exist. The vast majority of people you see flying these technically illegal ships are supplying a base, or at least that's the assumption I have to go with considering how many of them are all hauling FOW or BA. Of course if I encounter a Freelancer using these ships to transport illegal cargo it's another matter, but again, in my expereience most of them only use these ships to supply POBs.

I really, really like the new ID changes, especially corporate competitors, and the reworked piracy and engagement lines. I think these alterations are great, despite what may be claimed by those with reading comprehension difficulties.

Thanks!

I’d ask that House Intelligence have the rephack towards pirates reverted. Generic “pirates” are an excellent layer of deniability towards sketchy black ops. As the IDs are already quasi-lawful anyway, it stands to reason that a BIS agent would want to be sneaky and meet on somewhere like Ithaca, or a LSF agent fit in with a crowd of criminals. I say this as someone who had a Pirate IFF’d LSF Ahoudori.

Outcast ID got Burgundy added to ZOI when the patch hit and got subsequently removed, can we get some clarification on that?

Antonio suggested this might be an oversight, if it's restored please also add it to the OF ID this time.
