Not bad. I am a little iffy on the advertising bit myself. I can see this on say,a spa and cruise base, but does Interspace really need in space advertisement? I mean there are probably many other ways of advertisement, including something that transmits whenever you contact their stations, advertisements on the news channels, etc. Additionally, would they want a big glitzy sign making their headquarters look all tacky?
To be honest I really haven't decided one way or another, but I did want to bring up those points.
Can't wait to see a 3d model.

I wasn't too crazy about the sign or the bottom portions of the base. However, I still think there should be a sign of some sort. I'll probably plaster it on the base itself.

a sign? Naw, a logo, definatly. But that would increase the amount of base types in the game exponentially.

Yak to Treewyrm. He's still around, he might give you some pointers. Might be useful, might not be, but you can only ask/try. Go for it, Replace the Base, Up in Yo' Face, the Old been gone, without a Trace, Just don't use Lace, Or I whack yo wit my Mace...:D

Back to the point; I agree that the sign is a bit over the top, painting it on the base seems more plausible.
